I was lucky enough to buy one in Feb 2023. I'm glad I did, I prefer this reference over the new one (can't stand that bezel insert with metal ring around the outside)

Not sure how I feel about the modern Daytonas...there is something off with the design and proportions. I think I prefer the more vintage designs from the 80's and 70's. I kinda feel the modern design is trying to hard to be cool. Also can't Rolex provide a more modern box nicer box? A watch that cost 14 -20 grand should be given a better presentation.

Bought mine in 2020 from my local AD for $12,400...sold it in 2022 for $29,500....

I certainly agree with you on the box. Though, it does the job I guess, and doesn't take up too much space.
This watch is worth every penny at retail but not worth at grey market prices.
