Great stuff!! Thank you guys. I also enjoy fixing stuff. The fear factor of breaking it - fubar - as they say - is aways there, good advice on going past that barrier.
@@FrugalRepair hey there. The last electronic? My 4 year old nephew plucked each and every key off the keyboard of his mother's laptop. He really loved plucking them. And had this great little smile as he successfully removed one key at a time. After he was done with most of the keyboard I could not find a replacement part so removed the old keyboard and plugged in a USB external. But to remove they old keyboard the laptop had to be disassembled. Many tiny screws! I used the PC as a file server for a while as it's an older PC and it works great for that purpose.
I was a shade tree mechanic back in the carburetor days, and when I bought my first fuel injected car, i was intimidated to no end. Then I heard "Click and Clack" on the radio tell me that 90% of the repairs are still mechanical, and I got past the fear factor. I good college textbook on emissions controls and watching Schroedingers Box youtube channel helps teach a LOT of electronic diagnostic skills. I still want to buy a bidirectional scanner, but it's not cheap for my occasional use which I can't do with my phone, knowledge of how engine controls work, a cheap OBD connector, and a torque pro app (android only) and a bluedriver setup. But it would sure speed things up if I could remotely control aspects of circuits that would save time in diagnosing.
Thanks for asking! Yes, it is in driving condition and we just took its on its first big trip. I have fixed a number of smaller items and found the cause of the mysterious short circuit. Some of this I’ve posted on Instagram. I’m making a new video about installing solar on the roof that should come out later this month. I’m wondering if I should make a compilation or summary video of the various repairs so far. Do you think that would be helpful?
@@FrugalRepair oh yes it would help and be interesting to see. Complication video from start to finish would be Sooooooooooo Great!! I've watched Auto Rebuild Randy bought Rv and never finished it. LoL Also I don't have Instagram , be nice if you could point out what you fixed on Instagram video on RUclips Thanks in advance
I have 2 pa4s that arnt working they were n my storage an got wet an my nephew took them apart so there n peaces.i would love if tronicsfix to fix them i dnt wana but 2 more uhh 😒
I can't think what could make a man happier than to spend his days engaging in what he considers his hobby, but everyone around him pays him for doing it. That's a good business to be in.
Trying to repair a single fan RTX 2060 have cut away some of the shroud and added two Noctua 80mm and thermal pads for memory. Still going to black screen when running games, edits or benchmarks. Still going to attempt a few more things.
I've saved a ton of money by fixing stuff. Granted there is a 10 percent failure rate. But thats ok. Its worth the effort. So much stuff gets thrown out to landfills.
Thanks for the interview! Looking forward to hanging out again in person.
Thanks again for the time!
So surreal to see both of you at the same time, following both channels for years now
Same
Man I subscribed to tronicsfix like 5 years ago so this is awsome to see you both doing a interview

I enjoy watching frugal repair guy more than Steve Porter tronixfix guy....I personally don't think he know how to repair ps5 to well.
Would you consider 'business' a hobby?
I can't think what could make a man happier than to spend his days engaging in what he considers his hobby, but everyone around him pays him for doing it. That's a good business to be in.
That microphone lol
Yeah, we had to improvise since my other microphone quit working.
What is something that you want to repair (or it is on your list to repair)?

It’s already broken so no harm in trying!
