"Tribes" is a play. Not yet a movie as far as I know. It's showing in Berkeley now for a few more weeks. It's been in LA, NYC, etc. Check it out and make sure interpreters and ASL coaches are HOT and committed like ones we were blessed with here in Berkeley. Last Saturday was first ASL interp. Also have captions only shows, FYI.

Ella, you were marvelous ! I was taken back when they said differently to you when you asked Max to help you to understand him better which he was happy to do so. I have to admitted I was confused until you made this vlog which had helped me to understand it all better ! I totally agreed with you that people has to have "LOVE" in themselves when speak to someone who want to understand better !!! I have learned something and sure will try to do that from now on. I have bubbling inside, ready to burst but HOW! Eh... I guess like what you have said, pull the chest open and put our damn deaf head down and LOOK! I have few ideas but who should I go to? CUZ you r right fear of audists are gonna stand in line ready with sledge hammers!! One idea is coming out in a month and I guess I'll have to be ready to dodge all those sledgehammers? Actually, in the movie "The Tribe" (singular, of course) the Deaf group are actors from Ukraine, I think. I learned that it was powerful, so I am still curious to see it. Sarai Smiith Sara.. I learned ASL first, then SEE and am fluent in PSE too. It would be a good idea to learn ASL so you can follow the majority of deaf people who use it. I am deaf myself. Learned ASL at age 20. Hope you can give it a try.

I don't think the movie and play is the same. The play is actually named "Tribes". No "The" and with the plural "s" added. Play written by Nina Raine.
