His character was actually awesome! There WAS character development without any sexism!
I’ve seen the first two episodes, he makes a perfect Sokka.

His character is still good. but there may not be much character development.
since why he changed into the person eh is at the end of the animated series is cause he grew up and matured.
the live action version has him almost like that before the 1st season even ends (i respect the animated version more)
I’ll be honest, while the show wasn’t spectacular (it did have some inaccuracies throughout the season), I loved it. People are only saying it’s bad because it wasn’t living up to the absurdly high expectations they had. They had to change some things like Sokka’s sexism because Netflix knew that it wouldn’t pass today like it did 2 decades ago
I liking it so far myself, I’ve still only seen two episodes though.
He had many dev means. He sucked at fighting zuko lol.
the show was good but it was missing soul
That's what irritates me the most. People seem to like it although it's missing the soul. The charchters feel like empty shell of their animation counterparts. But it looks amazing so no one is complaining.
I feel that ^ at times it was like it was only trying to hit story beats/milestones. Most shows these days don’t slow down enough for little moments.

That’s true, but if it’s good it’s good, and I’ll enjoy the show anyway.
