      @AirRifleActivities you can't go wrong with the Leyla because it's so compact and light with good accuracy and power. I would think it's easier to use then the Leshyi 2 except not being semi auto but it's one of the easiest guns for hunting in my opinion.

    I'm convinced the cats at this farm learned from zombies: gunfire is their dinner bell 😂 They may be a nuisance when you want to have a wood pigeon or Eurasian dove to eat yourself, but they were great for the channel, I bet. I wondered when we'd see the Cheetah again. You mentioned the ricochet when doing those follow up shots. How about reviewing some shooting glasses, preferably polycarbonate? @@AirRifleActivities Lead by example !.👽
      Alex, forgive me, but this came to mind earlier this afternoon, when I was watching an air-rifle competition video. I felt I had to add this.....
      Years ago, when I was living in Phoenix, I did a LOT of weekend shooting (real steel). One weekend, I went out to one my favorite shooting spots, where everyone had sort-of collectively agreed (without ever meeting each other) to build/leave their targets and 'training-items' (the ever-dangerous old TVs and stereo cabinets) out there at this one spot, just about a mile outside of 'Sun City West' on Bell Road. There was a group of guys already there, and I saw that they'd had some beers, too. We all got into a 'gun talk' about our equipment, etc and they asked me about my glasses (Calgary Wrap-a-Rounds, new at the time). I showed them to them, and we moved on. One guy was wearing just a pair of Ray-bans. I mentioned that the level of plastic used in Ray-Bans didn't offer much safety from ricochets....but his attitude was (basically) that he was too cool, and too much of an outstanding shot, for ricochets to worry him. I left soon after that, as I have learned over the years to trust my instincts.
      A few months later, shortly before I moved out of the city, I met one of those guys at a gun show, and he told me that after I'd left, that dude and another had had an impromptu "contest" by shooting at a 2X4 stake that someone had hammered into the ground. Their second shot missed the stake and caused a piece of rock from a larger rock behind it to fly almost straight back at him, and caught him just under the edge of the Raybans, right at the lower edge of his cheekbone, cutting deeply into the skin of his face, and it apparently scared the sh1t out of him. [ One can only imagine what it would have done to his eyeball ] . The guy told me "Man, he THREW down his stuff and said he's never shooting without shooting-glasses again."
      Karma can be interesting. 😉
      To all of Alex's fans...listen to me, I'm old enough to be your grandad's uncle's step-dad's first-wife's daddy's drinking buddy...PROTECT YOUR EYES!!! You're welcome!!

    Hi Alex, great shooting of the sky rats. Your rifle sounds loud on the video. I had the same feeling with mine, but then I listened to the noise level on my garden CCTV, the shot was hardly audilble over the noise from the birds. The good news (also bad) is the wife is mobile, just using one crutch, and is now keeping an eye on my garden sniping. So best time, early morning before she gets up. Big Steve, East Yorkshire, UK.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  Год назад +2

      😄 Steve, you're right about the rifle and it's muzzle report, the place was quiet, it was a Sunday, and the sound was echoing amongst the tall concrete and metal buildings, hence the impression.
      I hope your beloved one shows some understanding to your hobby 🙂🤞

    • @DinnerForkTongue
      @DinnerForkTongue Год назад +2

      That's the curious thing about airguns: they sound very loud when you're shooting them, but when you're even a small distance away, you barely hear a 'ptchoo' of the report. I thought my break barrel springer was a noisy one until I wasn't the shooter, but waiting in the sideline to reset the target.

    Could you do a video on holdover? I recently bought a Hatsan bullboss, which I can hit a quarter with 95% of my shots at 50 meters. I go to my dairy farm and can’t hit anything unless it’s close to fifty yards. I can’t find any straight to the point vids on RUclips on air gun holdover.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  Год назад

      Mate, hold over is relative. You need to know the muzzle velocity of your projectile, its weight, its ballistic coefficient, the scope height, the focal plane of the scope, the magnification if it's a second focal plane scope, the zero distance and if you're shooting long range - the wind speed and direction, humidity and temperature. All of those variables you insert in a ballistic calculator which will give you the hold over and hold under. I recommend using Strelok Pro.

    As soon as you said a weed of some sort, I said that's stinging nettle. Don't go in without gloves and sleeves unless you use your feet to press them down.
    If there is mud close by rub it on the places you got stung and it will alleviate the pain. Clay mud works best but regular mud will work as well but may need to be reapplied after a few minutes. There is a plant that normally grows near it that when you crush the leaves and rub them over the stings it will instantly relieve the pain but that is in North America, not sure about here in Europe, at leadt i haven't seen it here in Germany.

    In the Qur'an; It is stated, "For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the hereafter, there is a painful torment and the fire of Hell" (al-Baqara, 2/114; Hajj, 22/9). 2. Torment in the Hereafter: The torment of the Hereafter begins with the torment of the grave. Since life in the grave begins immediately with the end of the life of this world, torment is not far away for mankind.

    I guess the farmer is pretty happy with you damaging the galvanized sheets like that. every single sheet you have hit will be completely rusted through within two years. i hope you have a good insurance.

      Really weird, 'cause I've been cleaning pigeons at that place for the past six years and still nothing 😉 Airgun pellets are made of soft alloy. It's not a firearm.

    In addition to the issues mentioned in the sheriffs, there is also the following known aspect of the issue: The extinction of these animals is gradually decreasing, and some of their breeds are on the verge of extinction. There is an event called ecological balance in the world. Everything created in nature is related to each other. What one lacks, the other makes up for. The disappearance and extinction of a living species disrupts this balance. In order to help maintain this balance, state-wide measures are taken and bans are imposed on land and sea fishing. In addition, the months when hunting is free are also determined and announced. If the hunting of deer and similar animals around you is allowed by the state, it is possible to hunt, otherwise it will cause the extinction of those animals, which brings some drawbacks

      I do have compassion for animals. And those sky rats are symbol for losses and contamination for farmers. We remove them only from certain places.

      Michael, the pigeon had already expired. Or almost. If I shot again, I could've hit the cat. And btw, the cat came out of nowhere, there was nothing I could do.

      In some instances, yes. But lower velocity may lead to spiralling. You need it to travel faster to get accuracy both close and long range.
