Thank you Simon. I'm getting addicted to your videos. Great information.
Simon, Thank you so much for your ideas and great teaching. I love watching!!
these bowls look lovely with the white slip, puts a very elegant look on them =)
Beautiful, Simon. Looking at that Hakeme brush I thought it might be easy to make & just had a feeling, so search your videos for "hakeme brush". Low & behold, in April 2010 you dedicated a video on how to make one. Gracias!
I love this decorative technique. I'm sure you've got something great planned with oxides, but there's some great pieces out there that just have a clear glaze on top. These cups/bowls at the Freer Gallery are really nice: F1967.28 (Chinese, Song Dynasty tea cup); F1899.56 (Korean, Joeson Period); F1898.25 (Japanese, Edo Period). If you go to Collections > Search Collections and pull up a picture of any object, you can replace the object no. in the url with the ones listed.
You give such good advice, thanks for sharing your knowledge, good man😍
Thanks Simon, I truly enjoy you sharing your vast knowledge, I look forward to all your new posts. I'm in Florida, will see if I can make a brush of something local
The question is.... How little do i wish to do
Hey Simon!
I bet that slip would look beautiful on that nice dark clay you found in your neighborhood. Will you try it?
No B-mix around the studio. I do have a recipe and ingredients for a porcelain body. Wondering if trhat would be suitible for this technique?
