This is the first time I've heard of this book, but I have, of course, heard of Bret Easton Ellis. I have a copy of The Shards in one of my TBR pile, and I started but DNFed American Psycho earlier this year. I'll add this to my list now, too.
i've been meaning to read more of Brett ever since I read American Psycho years ago. i currently have Glamorama and The Shards and have always loved the way he creates these distasteful worlds, and thus distasteful characters..or is it the other way around? will be adding this to the stack though. thanks for your thoughts! loved how you described the construction and experience of this one!
Thanks for the comment & the view! I have to admit, I haven't read either American Psycho or Glamorama. Imperial Bedrooms was also very enjoyable for me, and it loosely connects to Less Than Zero & The Informers. I do plan to read The Shards during Christmas & NY holiday breaks.

Let me know what you think of it when you finish.
@@pleasereadyourbook Definitely. It's a long one, though.
