I think their target for the device is a bedside alarm clock. A fair number of people are uncomfortable with cameras in their bedrooms. As an old fat guy, I am more than okay with the new Spot not having a camera. In my case, this is replacing a Lenovo "Google Assistant" bedside clock which doesn't have a camera either, so nothing really lost there.
Its a complete waste of money...but hey, its your money. Amazon just keeps on redesigning and not bother innovating. I have a few ideas on how this product can be improved on, but Amazon are not interested. I suspect that this device will end up in secondhand shops, priced at £10-£20 within a year.
You have better nails than my one😁
The new echo spot doesn’t have a camera nor can it display video. The original could do all that. I was excited at first, but now I’m not.
Yeah they probably should have ditched the spot designation and give it a new name.

Not going back to the clock or at least having the option to turn on/off would really annoy the shit out of me.
Let's hope they fix this.
I've had an issue where the alarm on mine only plays/chimes once and turns off making completely sleep through it. Have you had this issue?
@lenstewart3422 No I haven't had that happen. Can anyone help out?
What is with the finger nails 💅
