If anyone was curious, the Material is called Squadron laminate. It’s made by pressing two pieces of either 500d, or one piece of 500d and one piece of 1000d cordura together under extreme pressure which causes them to bond without using adhesives that would cause them to become more stiff and brittle. The benefits are that a single piece of squadron is considerably more durable then even doubled up and sewn cordura. It’s also thinner, weighs less and is more fray and water resistant. It also costs more than twice the price of traditional Cordura, which accounts for the price of this carrier. Most traditional carriers from ferro, eagle, spiritus and others are made with a material that costs less than half the price.

Would love a review of this carrier with the add-on Balcs armor upgrade option. Great review man.

Looking forward to trying the ARC V2 carrier, but, the procurement of having to buy it pieces at a time, depending on stock/availability, and, utter lack thereof is making this a very frustrating experience.

How well would you say that Icevents work if the carrier is in a load bearing configuration?

Looks like your running it a little to high up on your body, adjusting the shoulder straps should help with shouldering your rifle

How would you day this compares to something like the Crye AVS?

Your review was surprisingly well thought out! I think with this design, it really depends on how someone is built. Some people can rock a K19 and have no issues shouldering their rifle. I think your PC is sized well and is a bit high, but it won't help your shoulder straps fixing that. I think your shoulders just arent broad enough to make it work as well as you want (mine are the same way). I went from something like this to a WhiskeyTwoFour PC24 and have been loving it, although you may find it may not be as comfortable as something as padded as the Shaw, K19, nor Strandhogg. I swapped from the Strandhogg to the PC24 and miss a lot of aspects, most notably the comfort. If you like a lot of the things with the Shaw ARC then you may love the FIrst Spear carrier, or if you want "shoulderability" I'd say check out the WTF PC24 for some diversity.

great review, i will say the constant same music loop throughout the entirety of an almost 13 min video gets distracting after a while. Especially the type of music.

What brand of plates do you use for it? I'd appreciate if you left a link or brand/plate name :)

I believe in that video I was running the caliber armor steel plates. I am looking at other options though

@@jessetrice_ sweet! I was thinking of getting some LAPG plates to see if they fit in my Arc. I'll look into those ones though!!!

You should offset your plates by dropping the adjustment of the back bungee to the lowest part of the bag.

This was such a game changer for carrier fit when I learned this. I've been doing it ever since. As high as possible in the front and as low as possible in the rear and the fit will never be better.

With accessories in $1,200/$1,300 mark, without plates or soft-armor.
