I agree wire to sure the wood to the metal is a good idea and it looks rustic, if you need thicker wire home depot has copper 18 gauge. I think I’ll try that!!
My two cents: I don’t know about that hot glue…might be better off drilling a hole through the metal, but not the wood, and using wood screws to securely attach it. Great idea but I wouldn’t trust it to hold the weight of glass bottles and water.

Love this look. Syngoniums, pothos and philodendron do so well. I've done the same with wide mouth bottles for dieffenbachia and monstera as well. Plus the grow beautiful white and light green roots!

I actually made this for mother's Day! I placed my hook on the BACK of the wood, added the GLASS FRAMED OCEAN ANIMAL DECOR onthe CENTER hook, added some SEASHELLS to the WOOD some NAUTICAL ROPE around the center of the bottles and hung one on each end with POTHOS from my own plant and shipped then to my MOM FRIENDS & FAMILY. THEY LOVED IT! THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!! 😁👏🏻
I'm not trying to be rude, however imo, your final result looks a bit unfinished. Here are some ideas that I feel may make this great idea just a little bit more attractive. If anyone likes the very basic look, that's cool too. I'm just giving another option. Have a great day. 👍🏻 ✌🏻 I would leave a couple of the zip ties (probably black) on each side and snip the excess. Then, glue a strip of pretty ribbon over the strip of wood covering where everything is attached. That way, you can only see the hooks & nice ribbon. Personally, I would add a drop of food coloring to the water that matches the ribbon. Finally, add little string lights to the top hooks as well. At that point, it might be more decorative and closer to the high end that you spoke about.
Hi. Master Gardener here (not the master, just my cert title). I wouldn't reccomend using such small openings for propagation. Philodendron & Pothos root very quickly. Unless you want to break the bottle to retrieve your plant. A better idea would be a wide mouth mason jar or bucket. Buy a pool noode and slice it like a giant carrot. Use the tiny pieces as miniature floats for your propagations. Cheap & efficient. I also don't love the way this looked. It'd be nicer as a key holder.

It's not hot glue, it's called e6000. I've never used it but I hear people swear by its strength. Just an FYI.

E6000 is a cancer causing adhesive, not good for a long term storage solution such as this

I'm not a veterinarian but I know what a cat is. Somebody doesn't have to make this to know it's an accident waiting to happen.
The problem is with the wood and glue and nails. Those hooks are sturdy, though!
You could use a thicker piece of wood and short wood screws to connect the rack to the wood. This will make it a much more sturdy wall piece.

Nice heavy bottles are the last thing you would want to hang from this… They will be broken on your floor in a couple days…..
