Love it! I’d be converting the garage into an area to take formal portraits of horses and other livestock.
Oooh that is a cool idea!
So happy for you! Call me Jealous. My first thought on the upstairs was "The Executive office"! That is such an awesome space! Congrats! Love it!
Ooh lala I love it!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! What a beautiful space! Hearty congrats. I can't WAIT to see what you do with it. So excited for you.
Thanks! Still have my paws crossed you can come out in August 😉
So lovely to see your new space - and even more to see your wonderful enthusiasm 🤩
Aww thanks!
My dream would to be to have the lights mounted to the ceilings with arms. That is the BEST. Congratulations!!! I love that you got this new place. Looks more dog friendly all around, including the outdoor "Potty" space.
Right! Yes! Super excited and cat wait to show you everything!
Disco lights! Def disco lights!
Omg how did I forget disco lights?! Yes!
You could hold a Puppy Prom! 🤯
Holy cow, the big beautiful studio you deserve! Congratulations ❤
For the portraits with people, how about a 3-way full length mirror. And a makeup mirror with great lighting.
Because we want to look as adorable as our baby!
Hadn't thought of a three way mirror! Thanks!
Congrats! What a great space! I love your ideas. Can't wait to see it when all the rooms are done. Well done!
Thanks!
So EXCITING!!!! 😃 Oooooo...... You can see the agility course from the headshot room! How fun! ....oooo, AND from your office! I'm imagining my manifestation of a visit to this amazing studio and the rest of the property, too! 😊🧘🏻♂✨ I'm so excited for you, Monique! This is HUGE! Thanks for sharing! 🤗
Thanks! Can't wait to see you!
Oh! In the title you asked "What would YOU do?" I'd move in and make it a living/working/studio space; but if I already had an amazing home, I'd do exactly what you're doing. Your plans for the space are very exciting!
Actually that is why it hadn't rented for a year, no living space. A couple people wanted to live there and there's no shower, no stove , no closets, and it's not permitted for living. But I can dream with you that it could have been!
@@ProPetPhotog Oh, I get it. All the things I've been seeing with tiny homes and van life could make it possible; but of course that wouldn't work if it's not zoned residential. Doesn't really matter, though. I LOVE WHAT YOU'RE DREAMING AND PLANNING FOR THAT SPACE! It almost seems like a dog training, photography studio themed amusement park. 😃
fantastic!!! so many options!
Soooo many!
Wow! talk about one door closing and another one opening. You hit the mother lode here, didn't you? I had a thought for the garage. It's such a huge space, too. How about renting it to a dog groomer? Again, bringing other dog people in for you and the owner of this place. And you're talking about a retail space. What a fabulous thing here to have all these dog people together, and each space possibly helping the other spaces! Also, you mentioned your sister makes dog related stuff? Where to find her? But whatever you do, a HUGE congrats to you!
Thanks! One of the odd things about this building is only 2 small sinks and no other water except outside. Grooming would be loud for the video production too. But great idea!
Only thing I can say is WOW!!! If it were me I would use one of those side rooms for the client's gallery reveal. That way you don't have to worry so much about the echo. Just a thought.
The echo is awful right? We are going to add a wall of curtains and some sound panels to help. But a reveal room sounds awesome!
I love your new space, congratulations! The retail space is brilliant, I love working with the local pet-themed vendors in my area, maybe one of the coolest perks of the job I didn't know about when I got started
Right? We have our own community of pet based business.
Great space, I'm not sure about putting the backdrop in front of the emergency exit. Just in case.
Oh I should have explained. This use to be a manufacturing space. This is just a normal exit not emergency. There are 3 other exits from the building :)
Congratulations! I'm super happy for you, and insanely jealous too! What an amazing space - this is basically my dream, to do exactly this. Having creative space in there for other photographers to rent, maybe also offering some equipment for rent in the space, like lighting, modifiers, maybe even camera gear. I can see some learning space for workshops and courses.
I would for sure use that garage for studio space as the high ceilings allow you a ton of flexibility with lights. I could see some fashion shoots, some sport themed shoots - that kind of thing happening in there.
That's an amazing opportunity. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Oooh great ideas! Thanks!
So happy to see you enjoying your new studio!
Thanks!
What an amazing space! So excited for you! I am in the process of getting a home studio built using a Premier Studio by TuffShed and could not imagine having that much space to fill. Congratulations 😊
Oh that sounds awesome! Nice cozy studio right at home!
What an amazing space with tons of potential. All the best as you outfit it for your needs!
Thanks! Got any ideas?
@@ProPetPhotog Not really; I like what you outlined. in your video. Good luck implementing it. It's an impressive space and one that should make for continued success.
Ooh, if I lived out by you, I would rent that shop space from you. Unfortunately, 1,200 miles is a bit of a long commute to work in my wood shop. That looks like great space with dust collection vents already installed. Your studio space is beautiful. Hope you get it laid out how you want and it works out for you.
Also, I'm sure you've already thought of this but the green light on the Exit sign could be problematic. I was doing some head and shoulder shots for the staff and volunteers at my church. I set up my backdrop and shot the photos. I didn't notice the green of the Exit sign coming through and around the backdrop giving everything behind it a strange hue. I tried to get rid of it with white balance adjustments, but the best option and the one I went with was to re-shoot at a different day in a different location in the building. Light wasn't as good as natural but it worked. Again, I'm sure you have already considered it but just in case....
Steve did contemplate using it as his shop too! It's a 30 minute drive so he opted to stay at home so he can putter easily. Yes we are having an electrician come out to take down the big exit sign.
Congratulations. Looks terrific.
Thanks!
Amazing place ❤so happy for you
Thanks Noelle, gotta come see it in person someday!
Wow amazing!!! How exciting for u !!
Thanks!
