  • Hi guys! So todays video is a little different. I wanted to share my experience with Botox and Fillers. I have really pronounced under eye bags causing me to be very self conscious about them. I did a lot of research before choosing to go this route. While researching I watched several RUclips videos and I had a difficult time finding someone whose bags were similar or worse than mine. I decided to make this video in hopes my experience can help someone and feel better about themselves. So please no judgement - Do what makes you happy!
    I hope you enjoy the video. Please like and subscribe. We appreciate you!

    Girl, who cares what people think?! You do you!! If something makes YOU happy or feel better, THAT'S all that matters ❤ I lost over 100 lbs and didn't realize the effects it would take on my face. I worked so hard on my body and get so upset I can't control what happens to my face. That's where procedures come in 🎉!! Unfortunately for me, my metabolism is fast so I burn through stuff quicker, like the vampire facial (plasma filler) and botox so it's more expensive...boo.
    But, I'm 100% ok with getting whatever procedure or product I need to make myself happy. We deserve this so flaunt it 👏🥳❤

    Go ahead and get the bleph done. I had upper ( hooded eyelids) and lower done under local anesthesia. No big deal. Best decision ever, because it’s over and done and pretty permanent. I had the same issue with under eye bags. It was the first and last thing I saw when ever I looked in the mirror. I had a lower blepharoplasty in my early 40s and it was the best thing I ever did for myself; a TOTAL game changer. And I only had to have it done once and I’m 60 now. It can be done under conscious sedation so it’s really easy. I think it can be done for a few thousand dollars and, as I’ve said it’s been 20 years and I’m still good. So a really good investment when amortized over 2 decades. Anyway…
    you look great; she did a great job! Just know, if you want a ‘one and done’ the lower lid blepharoplasty was a breeze. All the very best to you! 💕

      Thank you for that. I’m 62 and I know I’m quite lucky that I don’t have deep lines or forehead lines but I hate my eye bags. I’m having some Botox and fillers next week to help with some lines around my mouth and the start of eyebrow drooping. But nothing is going to correct my eye bags without surgery. As soon as I can afford it, I’m going to do it. I don’t think I can have fillers in my bags because they’ll look too puffy. So surgery it is. And if people don’t want that, it’s fine. But if they do, do it !

    Blepharoplasty is definitely a more cost effective and permanent option. Fillers are expensive and they can migrate to other parts of your face and cause a build up in areas you don't want it. The end result being the pillow face look. This is why a lot of celebrities are removing their fillers.

    Man. It's crazy cause like... yeah. You have eye bags. But when im watching you I just think you look so beautiful. But I'm watching this because I have eye bags that aren't even as severe as yours and am wanting to do the same procedures soon. (I am 33) Maybe it's because overall your appearance is more beautiful? Or maybe some inner beauty? Or maybe it's facial dysphoria. I wish we could just see each other through each other's eyes.
    In any case... it doesn't matter how others see us. It matters that we feel confident in our own skin. I just felt compelled say that because it really is so strange. I feel like I'd feel more confident if I looked like you, before the procedures (where i am in the video.)
    Edit: okay, it just clicked for me
    it's my double chin. You don't have one. Lmao!! We all have our WORST FEATURE. My eye bags...sure, i hate them... but it's my double chin that I hate the most. You have lovely features ❤

    Thanks Jenny! The results look great.I found your video when I was researching botox for under eye wrinkles. I noticed that you said that you suffer from migraines, have you looked into having botox for migraines? I have been having botox for my migraines for the last 2 years and not only has it all but eradicated my bad migraines (together with daily tablets) but I also have a wonderfully smooth forehead. Worth considering - the botox does give me a slight headache after the treatment but it soon goes off. SecondlyI recently had an upper eyelid bletheoplasty - I know that your video is a few months old but the procedure only took about 20-30 mins max and it was painless (I am sure that the lower lid/under eye would be similar) had it done in Boston - not sure where you are but surgeon fabulous!

I would recommend if it’s really bothering you. You may have already done it by the time you read this post. I hope you film that as well. If you already have I’ll look for it. Thank you for sharing again!

    I really appreciate that you put this video out, I can't find any videos regarding this. I'm 59 and I had filler years ago under the eyes twice, but after the 2nd time I didn't go again because a small lump showed under my left eye, that kind of bugged me. But now it's 59 the hollows are really bothering me under my eyes and I figure I have to do something....it's either look at this or look at something that goes wrong with the filler LOL! so I've got a appointment in February. They have the new filler out by Restylane now called Eyelight, But I think it's gonna be more expensive because the syringe is half the size of what the regular restalene syringe, so I'll probably need extra. Thanks and you look great!!

    I’m in advanced esthetics classes and we were assigned to watch this video because we go over Botox/ fillers. It’s crazy because I have the same under eye bags. I’ll be 39 next month. I’m very insecure about them which they’re hereditary as well. I’ve researched on what I could do on getting rid of them and came across a blepharoplasty. I watched RUclips vids on them and even got a consultation. I really didn’t want to go that route. I knew Botox could help with something but didn’t know about fillers until last year sometime. Im afraid of getting any of it, but it looks like it works temporarily. Watching your video makes me a little comfortable about it but I too want something permanent. Im happy we were assigned to your video. 😊

Now that it’s November I can tell the fillers have gone. Im thinking about just going back for more Botox before the holidays. Im sorry you have the same situation. I know it’s frustrating. Im still wanting the surgery… it’s just expensive! At least there are options. Thank you so much for reaching out. Awesome that you’re taking classes! Wishing you all the best!!!💕☺️

    Hi, Commenting from the UK here, and just wanted to say that I found your video very interesting and informative, so thank you for sharing your experience with us. I think you look really good, and I hope the effects last well for you as you take time to think about blepharoplast. I have undereye concerns, although different to yours, in that a combination of life-limiting illness, trauma, bereavements and menopausal mayhem have caused incredibly deep hollowing under my eyes. It's obvious that the fat that's under the eyes in youth has migrated to my lower face, causing some sagging. As a result, I no longer look like "me", if that makes sense. I'm not sure what to do about it, but think, like you, that surgery is probably the best bet in the long run. I'm not even sure that a practitioner would do Botox or fillers on me, as I have a brain tumour which causes various problems. The things that happen as we get older, though you're not an old bag like me just yet! All best wishes, Yolanda x

    I understand your pain! I had undereye bags like yours when I was 30 and had surgery the dr removed the excess fat under my eyes. Yes it instantly got rid of them. But fastforward years later, I'm 51 now and while the fat bags are gone they've been replaced with excess loose wrinkly crepey skin. I feel like I either need filler to fill the wrinkles which would actually then give me bags again I would think, but also I'm unsure it would help the problem. So maybe I need another surgery to remove the undereye wrinkles? Just unaffordable for me right now.

      Oh no! That stinks. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to make a consultation for the surgery later this year. One of my questions was going to be is it ok to do at 40. I was wondering what effects there would be as I age. Yes....We have already been saving! I wish you all the best! :)

    • @SusieQ1971
      @SusieQ1971 Год назад +1

      @@JennyChaplinI had it done at 30. I was very happy with the results, no more bags at all and mine were similar to yours in this video. Back then 22 years ago botox or fillers weren't even recommended as options. I would say the bags made me look 10 years older than I was and were a combination of heredity and lifelong allergies. After more research, it's not the fat removal that has resulted in excess skin and wrinkles/creases under my eyes beginning in my mid 40's, it is the fact that we lose volume and fat under our eyes and the skin thins causing the look of excess skin and wrinkles. I hear horror stories about people who've tried botox or fillers directly under the eyes for purposes of getting rid of wrinkles. That it looks good at first but looks aesthetically worse after awhile. So I'm curious if you're still happy with your results? And please don't worry about being judged, women who find these videos do so because they have challenges and aging issues they want help with. It's helpful to watch others go through procedures to find out what works and what doesn't.

    • @JennyChaplin
      @JennyChaplin  Год назад

      @@SusieQ1971 Yes I was happy with the results. They said it could last up to a year, but I feel that mine lasted about 9 months. I have not done them again. I am going to have the surgery. I did the consult and even had it scheduled, but had to cancel. Honestly this year has been rough I’m still trying to plan time for it. I haven’t noticed my bags looking any worse. He said they would remove some of the extra skin and reposition a little fat. I won’t be doing fillers again I’m just going to do surgery. I’ve had a couple of people say they same with horror stories after having repeated fillers. Another reason for surgery. Also I was shocked the surgery is 4800.00. I know that’s a lot of money but idk why I was thinking it would be double. In the long run it will be cheaper. I’m still hoping I can get it done this year.🤞🏻☺️

    • @SusieQ1971
      @SusieQ1971 10 месяцев назад

      @@tinachxx110I would get a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon to explore all of your options and answer all of your questions. I really don't know. I just know that Im 52.5 and my undereyes have wrinkles and creases, especially when I smile, that replaced the undereye bags. And surgery gives instant results where as fillers, botox, etc can only do so much and in some cases worsen the problem. I had botox on my crows feet that worked great but you have to keep paying every few months for it. I had juvederm filler on my smile lines and the results were instant and very long lasting because they contain hyaluronic acid that produces collagen in that area. But I recently watched a video where a surgeon said a face-lift was so much easier and better results when people don't get fillers which can calcify or turn into little hard bumps under the skin. I dunno 🤷‍♀️

    Don't listen to the negativity!! You do YOU!! :) I have two remedies for Migraines...I've had them since I was a child, tho now that menopause is done they are MUCH less frequent. The first is a prescription, Orphenedrine ad it to Excedrin Migraine at the first sign of the migraine. It works, it's non narcotic, non addictive and I've taken it for decades. It's actually a muscle relaxer but it works WONDERS on a migraine. Not sure how it does it but I'm telling you it's a life saver. The second method works too, especially if you didn't catch it in time is to pack your head in ice. I start with the back of my neck, head and up over the eyes ( use a washcloth under the ice pack). This too is fool proof and works every time.

    Like others have indicated...you dont to provide any reasoning for TOUR DECISION. It's a shame and I truly feel if there's judgement, it comes from envy. I cant understand what else itd be for someone to care about judging someone else for this.
    I'm writing this before even seeing the transition...but from the before and after images, it looks amazing! Definitely motivation to follow in your footsteps. You just do you😊
    And TYSM for sharing!!💜

    Hi Jenny, Thank you for your video it inspires me since we have same problem on under eye bags, I was praying a solution about this how to get rid of it but in your videos I got an idea to have fillers unfortunately can't afford it since it is very expensive. Hopefully someday I could make it.

      I’m so happy you found this helpful. I know the fillers are pricey. That’s one of the reasons I want the surgery. I can only imagine how much that is. I’ve already started saving for it. I need to go for a consult so I know a price. Wishing you all the best!

    Same here, chickened out on the phleph. Maybe I’ll revisit. Yes, eyes are a different story.

    I wish I was brave enough to get facial injections, I made an appointment and then canceled it. Good for you, hope it works.

      The injections weren't bad. They did put numbing cream on and that helped!

    You look great! I think a little goes along way and I would do the same thing! I’m 41 now and see a couple of things happening lol. I’m also a bit of an odd lady in that I do not subscribe to the idea that we should be completely absent of any wrinkle. Kind of middle of the road. I look at Cindy Lauper and Madonna and I think Cindy looks so beautiful and is aging beautiful. If she has had some work done, it is minimal.

      I completely agree! I was so worried when I first went in I didn't want it to look unnatural. I said I just want my bags to go away I'm okay with everything else! I saw a picture of Madonna the other day...... I had to do a double take! lol Yes I'm middle of the road with ya! Thank you!
