From 5:24 or so, bus is D464. Leyland Atlantean. The Atlantean was a bit of a disaster, noted for chronic overheating. The bus in the video has the fibre-glass front and rear panels, which disappeared in later years after the fibreglass repair shop in Inchicore allegedly burnt down!. After that, the front panel under the windscreen was replaced by a sheet metal flat panel. Livery is the mid-buff colour which replaced the original blue and cream. Great video.

These routes are some of the most famous routes that are now gone! Its removal was widely protested, along with Route 3's removal.

All Dublin Buses should have been light and dark blue forever. Why did we get all those horrible orange and brown and yellow things? Why was the bit in the middle of the steering wheel always missing? Never understood that 😀

first of all you are right about the bus at the start of the clip being a trident . known in Dublin as the DT class bus fleet number DT 9 . as to why the 19/A were withdrawn it was part of the Dublin bus network review .

Dublin bus took this great bus no 19 off service and replaced it with a worse 83 service
The bus service with Driver n Conductor were better for health n safety of passengers a far better friendly service
You felt safer and enjoyed the journeys better whether going to school 'college'shopping ' or going out on the town
The Driver n Conductors were there to look after you todays bus service is all about profit pay n go💰💰💰💰💰💰
They want to bring in a new bus system now where you get two or three buses before you arrive at your destination
They should go back to the future ⌚⌚⌚⌚ briing back the driver n condutor you know its the best bus service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Don’t know where you get the idea about it’s for profit, Bunin bus make a massive loss every year, a subsidy of 60 or so million was common before the 2018 changes
