  • The Whitwell & Reepham station opened in 1882 and was on the Lynn & Fakenham railway part of the Midland & Great Northern. The short out and back track and works can be found in the yard of the station. It doesn't look like there is any chance of them extending along the old track bed.
I liked the steam loco "Victory" she carries the shed code 15c which is local to me being Leicester.
This was the only wet morning of our holiday, luckily it stopped by the time we rode the brake van.
The steam loco on runs on the first Sunday of the month or special events,so check if you want to see this loco in steam.

Shame about the rain Chris, but an excellent production none the less....this Railway certainly has a great deal of facilities to help it develop .....Very enjoyable...Bob

Robert Masterman The rain was a problem to start but eased of later and allowed us to get some good shots of this short but interesting railway.Thank you Bob for your continued support....Chris.

Something different there Chris, another little gem that is easily overlooked. Nice you got the sheet rolled up for the footplate shot, cheers, Brian.

SYKAROST I think it was a bit of,the rain stopping Brian, but it was better when they did. They could really make something of this railway if they were allowed to use the old track bed.....Chris.

That Station platform looked like it was begging to have some new Track relaid Chris. Such a shame it doesn't look like they'll be allowed to extend the track there as it is quite short. Well, The L&BR is only one mile and that's pretty short for now too. Some interesting stock there...Nice one..Cheers...Steve.~.

***** It certainly is Steve,it would be great if they could extend this line, the older guy on the footplate,he was telling us about the line when he drove on it.They have another steam loco under repair and a 7 1/4 miniature is planned for the future...Regards Chris.

Great video! I must get up o Norfolk and do this one! I see they have some interesting rolling stock with the tram and London Underground carriage! Was this before the Top Field Miniature Railway was built?

Hi Henry..It was before the M.R,they did had a 7 1/4 Hunslet loco on show in the cafe at the time. They also said they were going to build a M.R.I went to see the site, they did have some rusty track laying about....One miniature we want to ride this year..Opens on the first weekend of the month. No dates as yet for this year....If you hear of any M.R that is opening and the dates, could you let me know..I'm trying to plan some trips away but carn't as they are not letting us know yet..I bet you are the same boat though...Cheers Chris.

@@wooltman Will do! I've not year heard of any. I see Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is open over the Easter Bank Holiday, steam on the standard gauge line but the miniature railway isn't running. Bekonscot Model Village opens on the 12th April and the 7 1/4" will be running. I'll be there driving most Tuesdays.

Victory looks nice in battleship grey. Ex Royal Navy, perhaps? Looks like some interesting vehicles there too; a Morris Commercial I think that yellow minibus was.
