I've tried many other guides but this was by far the most effective one with the most wiggle room. Most of the other guides focused on overloading the center, but I found the runners would occasionally leak. Your idea of weakening the center to create a smaller squad up top for runners made this stage far more consistent. Thanks for the help.
@@grampzoedien4571 You'll want to use Liskarm's S1 in most situations, I think. A def boost is usually what you want out of a defender, not arts attacks (usually).
Some differences in operators and blocks, but I basically cleared this the exact same way. Bring along support volcano Eya and let her deal with the hard moments.
Protip: You can use Hoshi or Liskarm in place or Dur-Nar, but you have to place Efy first followed by your aoe healer. If you have Pstilopis, you should be able to use her SP regen passive to allow your Efy to get her cd's back quicker.
Managed it with hoshi but I had to reroute the 2nd wave up the first column and down the second (moved my vanguard) to buy more time for dp generation and skills.
@@allesfalls I used Shining for that godsend physical defense buff in place of perfumer. As for the DP battery I just used courierXmyrtle. No s3 required. I didn't have meteorite leveled up so instead I used my schwarz (don't take this as bragging, I'm not a whale........except for when I pulled W and Mudrock.) This stage really opened my eyes to Mudrock's skill2. Made me laugh at how funny it is for her to spin every couple of moments when there are multiple units attacking her. This guide really helped lol.
Cool guide, a lot less convoluted and less brute force that my own run lol. After trying this strat for fun, I can add that you can replace Durnar with Hoshi S3 and it will work just fine, I replaced Vanilla with Myrtle as well, other than that pretty much the same, cool vid bro, Thanks on helping the community in these Kyoless times, you deserve the attention!
Thanks, for this guide and your others. Don't get much time to theory craft and test builds due to work. So thanks you to I was able to clear the last few CM's that I couldn't afford to spend time on and get all the event rewards. Sadly it was a bit harder for me since I had to find a good replacement for Durnar for these challenges. (Liskarm worked out). But gonna for sure level her up once I get time. I look forward to your guides on the next event(s) if I run into a time crunch again!
Thank you for this. Cleared both normal and challenge mode using this guide. Only real change I made was that I had to bring an extra tank (E2 Matterhorn) and have him replace Mousse once all the hammer guys are dead to stop a Bulldozer from getting through
E1 59 Meteor did not work for me at top right (maybe insufficient trust bonus). I used E1 57 Provence, who did pretty good although has some RNG due to her talent. Thanks for all the guides!
Thanks for the guide. I found that swapping FEater with S1E3 for Melantha worked pretty well for the top right as I couldn't reliably kill the enemies before they got past. I also had to be careful with the timing for deploying the 2nd defender as if both defenders were blocking an enemy already then I would end up with both Bulldozer enemies running in circles without getting near my defenders.
Your non cm strat was enough for me to clear cm as well, with the replacements I made, but really nice to see an alternative strat using all these blocks!

Is Dur-nar absolutely necessary in this map for a low stars comp? I've tried other defs like hoshi but enemies still gets past her. I don't have the resource to build dur-nar. Is there an alternative op?
hoshi using 3rd skill? maybe, try with specter or liskarm with 2nd skill in my case my dur nar (e1 lvl 45) died when brawler from left side come and just replace it with saria, still work fine, but you'll need better dps
I also ran Hoshi. Tried Skill 3 but it didn't proc in time so I tried S2, but that didn't work. What worked was bringing in a Grandi to drop for the 1 leaker, and would generate some more DP with his skill 2 on the other side coming in. I have an E2 Ptilopsis healing for me over Perfumer, and used my E2 Angelica over a friend's Eya, but those should still function as a clear this trash button. I think if you ran S3 Hoshi and had a 1guard block like Grani or maybe Vigna take care of the leakers it should be fine on your deployment sequence. Arguably this would take the place of Kroos in this run.
Thank you for the guide tho I ended up not clearing the stage with your set-up but that's not your fault. It just doesn't work with my style which is to Siege through most if not all my problems in life. I also dont have enough resources to work on Dur-nar having E2'd someone this morning. Nonetheless, I'm still grateful because I've used your guides on other stages.
Oh man i just did this one. I used my old setup from the first time this event went live with Liskarm as the main operator. Liskarm + DP for fast DP, and of course Liskarm + Chen, which combo ensures none of the engineers from slipping past, since Chen's skill charges up so fast. Liskarm is definitely my MVP for this stage :)
I really like your videos and they are really really helpfull but its kinda hard for me to keep up with them when you are at x2 speed. Can you try to make this guides at x1 speed please? It would really help me and maybe some other players keeping up with all the chaos and fast movements. Thanks for content keep it comming. :3
Turns out there were a few levels I hadn't done so here I am :D Abused the heck out of Myrtle, Elysium and Surtr for this one. I personally found that replacing Durnar (S2 lvl7) with Hoshigummybear (S2 lvl7) didn't really work out (might have if I used S3 instead of S2?) so I went with Durnar as with the video, Eyja (S3M3) and Perfumer (E2; S2 lvl7 though I didn't use it). However! Due to having Myrtle (S1M3) AND Elysium (S1 lvl7) I replaced...: - Melantha with Skadi (E2; S3 lvl7 for insurance though never needed it) - Meteor with Blue-Bae (S1M3) - Gummybear with Saria (S1M3) - Mousse with Astesiasia (S2 lvl7 though never used it) - KroosMissile with Exusi-Pew (S1M3). Once everything was dead and it was the 2 bully-things with a few leftovers at the end I gave Durnar some hard earnt rest, deployed Surtr (S3 lvl7) above Saria (facing down) then proc'd both Eyja and Surtr so they both annihilated the Bully-thing that was there then the one that was coming back around from the right. Felt nice being able to abuse the strength of my operators for once rather than being constrained by DP. If only I wasn't so smoothbrained. Thanks for the guide ;)

Playing this in 2021 with a Mudrock and G-Amiya is so satisfying. Though I did replace Vanilla with Myrtle, since the DP otherwise doesn't allow to deploy Mudrock
So long as the brawlers aren't strong enough to kill, Mudrock should be fine in place of Durnar. With the brawlers' DPS, Mudrock's S2 will be spammable, allowing for constant high damage and heals.
Followed this strategy, however I was able to place Mudrock (S2M1) on time (in place of Durnar) thanks to replacing Vanilla with Myrtle (S1M3). I didn’t have to change blocks on the last part as Ejya did most of the damage anyways with S3M3.
Well, maybe if you have her skill 3 maxed out it will be enough to clear the mobs But with her not being able to attack while the skill's not active, its risky. Could cause a lot of leaks, especially when your Durnar's isnt leveled enough
But if you want to use Angelina, you might want to change Meteor and Melantha with better ops, because not only they are going to deal with wraiths (which they barely killed them) they are going to have to kill the leaks cause by Angelina lack of dps
Dur Nar has insane DPS for a 4 star (Skill change into art damage coupled with attacking every enemy that was being blocked), not even Hoshiguma in E1 lv 70 is able to compete. I'm forced to upgrade my Dur Nar to follow this tutorial. The normal mode is easier to subtitute though.
Replace Dur-nar with liskarm to proc eyja skill faster, need change vanguard near her to deploy eyja faster. Replace mouse w art dmg like Lapland or sa

Meteor was replaced by Excusiai, Kroos by Jessica, Perfumer by Nightingale, Vanilla by Myrtle and Mousse by Astesia. Worked first try! It's finally over (just to have cc around the corner)!
I really like how I was able to beat CB-EX8 CM First Try with this guide but I still am struggling to beat CB-EX7 CM the only stage I haven't cleared yet even with that guide. Like Wtf XD.
I don't have Meteor and any other Sniper with Melantha, the Ergads just walk in like they own the place. I tried double sniper top that doesn't work either, the RNG of Kroos and Jessica's skill is the culpirit most of the time in practise.
Use angelina and shirayuki (do the same with normal stage.) Did not work it out. I hate those bulldozers, always leak at the crucial moment. I hope i can finish it with eyja.

Mudrock S2 is AMAZING in Dur-nar's spot. You'll needabig SP battery to get her in time, but she kicks ASS!

Ty for this strategy, managed to do it with a borrowed Mostima instead of Ejya (and a few tweaks and detours).
Save yourself the trouble of the normal strat and use this one to clear normal mode.
Amazing timing on the volcanos. My friend supports all had Ejya on S2 so I had to do some fun block juggling and multiple defenders.

Unfortunately In my case no defender worked so i had to build Dur Nar Luckily I had the Defender Chips so it wasnt a big problem.
Dur-nar is only the defender that can do it's job that no other defender can do which is to deal aoe arts damage

Hoshi is a maybe, if you don't have Liskarm as well.

Any ST sniper will work in place of Meteor, especially if they're stronger. I've heard people use Spectre/Lisk/Hoshi in place of Dur Nar, but at E2.
