@@Oshinoougi82I'd swap those, Ella is very bursty and flexible, Dorthy has good cycle time. Often I use her S2 to bunch and chip wandering enemies untill they finally get to the front line and die.
I consider myself a Qiubai main and Ascalon is making my life a lot easier so far, her incredible stall allows Quibai to recover SP during her long downtime. It's been a great combination for me so far.
I am new but honestly you realize how well this game is balanced and designed once you start really seeing how and where to use some of these operators players seem to under value.

Ascalon is now my carry, although I created my account in 2020, I started playing more only this September, I have very little progress in story and had only like 3 6star operators (bless exusiai). I decided to use my only 10 pull on Ascalon and I got her first try, she then proceeded to help me through the whole babel event. It finally feels like I am enjoying arknights. Thanks for the video!

Well if you're looking to get the most bang for your orundum, the very next limited banner coming out early-mid November is your best bet. The banner has Wis'adel and Logos as rate ups with the former being limited. It is without a doubt the most powerful banner in the game with Wis'adel being the best operator in the game, and Logos being the 2nd best, so they both will carry you through most of the game. Though I have to say, the power that either of them give is pretty overkill and isn't really needed for the current content of the game, my biggest recommendation is just pull for the characters that you personally like the look of or whose story interest you~ Don't let the META of the game bother you since it rarely matters unless you particularly like steamrolling through content haha. Hope this helps~!

I got Ascalon on my first 10-pull. I'm really enjoying her kit. She feels like Mizuki, but less annoying to use and significantly better CC. Adding her to a stalling squad is really nice. Enemies are either slowed to a crawl or outright die if they pass through her attack range.
Ive been trying to sell her as reedalter and suzuran has a fusion hero as her slow and ability to share those stacks with nearby enemies is so so good on S2! ty for shilling for ascalon! I have a lot saved for the limited banner soon, but i got her i couldnt pass!
I would still consider Ascalon Mizuki S2 to be a really strong combo and I have been using that a lot. Ascalon thin out the herd with her S2 and Mizuki will bind the big guys afterward. Thanks to Ascalon damage, they will be at 50% range where Mizuki 2nd talent will trigger to help out the S2 low Atk% buff to easily finish them off the rest especially with Ascalon poison still ticking. You can easily spread them out for a 6x6 zone coverage or 3x3-1-3x3 depending on the enemies. But if wave is tough, you can just put them together use both of the skills together. Ascalon S2 may last way longer than Mizuki S2 but that actually allow for double activation if necessary. You just start Mizuki S2 a few seconds earlier then Ascalon S2 and by the time Ascalon S2 is over, Mizuki S2 is up again and it last long enough for Ascalon S2 to be up again. You feel sad for the enemies when you keep using their skill back to back.
surprised you didn't mention Logos in the synergy section. His flat increase to arts damage instances and res shred make a huge difference against tankier enemies, and ascalon can stall during the downtime of a logos/qiubai/suzuran core if the first rotation somehow doesn't kill. Highly recommended
Ascalon as arrived at 49th pull. She was immediately promoted to E2 and sent to mastery training. She's very fun to play with. Man, i like ambushers :D

Oh! I suppose I did bring her a lot for my recordings haha there's not really anything special about her I think. Her heals are all around 20% better because of the shield she grants, but I only used her cuz she's my only built healer on CN haha not a must build unit imo unless you like her ofc

I've been eagerly anticipating Ascalon's arrival for so long as I absolutely love her design and I hooope that they give her an outfit where she puts down her helmet like that scene where she could have taken out a confessarius in the court. They did the helmet thing with Ines' outfit so I have some hope lol
Currently on my way to m9 and max her module. I was originally to going to skip her but because i already had enough to spark wisadel i pulled her on whim and got her. After playing with her alot in IS, I honestly think she is my favourite operator kit wise. You can literally use her anywhere and she will be good.
I never though my Sarkaz Squad would appreciate a Ground Unit with 0 Block since Sarkaz lack a non-Charger Vanguard and affordable Units with 2 Block imo. But Ascalon having this much slow sold me on her usefullness. Also with next event we finaly get a Sakarz Non-charger Vanguard which helped a lot on making this decission.
If anything, I'd really recommend showing how an operator can deal with the stage and focus on it more. Comparisons are okay but tbh, they are kinda useless for understanding operator's kit. If you want to show how good an operator is, show it on practice. Other than that, It's good to see people making good videos for this game!!
I only really showed comparisons for operators when I feel like it's worth mentioning, and to provide context for people that know those other operators. Tbh I had trouble thinking of ways to show Ascalon in recording because she's just great in almost every stage, but I still showcased some stages and enemies that she counters no? Though i suppose I sprinkled that throughout the video rather than dedicating a whole part to it haha

Nice video! I suppose her movement speed reduction is not the same as the slow debuff given by Suzuran, and therefore Ascalon's movement speed reduction is not the slow needed by Qiubai?
I found this video a little too late xd but I have to say, Mizuki's S2 and Ascalon's S2 are pretty good complements to each other. I used both in that one EX stage of Babel where the main path is full of the unstable platforms. Because the wraiths are unblockable, I used both to cc and kill those fuckers. A 20 sp skill alognside a 15 sp skill was way too good to not use. So yes, I'm a "Just use both lol" person.
I like how i watched this video only for confirming my choice to pull her :D And even more so, i got her in first 10 pull, i coult it as compensation for all sanity i lost during CC just before XDDDD But yes, her second skill in my opinion is the top tier one. The low cost, high slow and damage, plus with unlocked module looked like insane ability. Now just wait for Wisadel to come
arknights is so generous with drop rates tho, I haven't missed a character each banner while gaining orundums, no reason to skip anyone this isn't hoyo games where you need dupes to be useful

Ascalon was one of my biggest pull priorities, but I felt I could not dedicate everything to her, since she will have a rerun eventually. I somehow pulled four 6 stars in 50 pulls and non of them were her....
Lucky me despite my terrible pulls i pulled for her and got her (on my failed i got a Degen pot wich i will not complain could have been one that i wouldn't like as much) and then got my Wis'adel last day with the few pulls i managed to gain and bought with yellow cert (first 6star i got was another Degen pot so same as i said above could have been worse for me almost could consider it good) now only Logos and Ulpian and i am good to go chill until someone hyping me a lot comes up (Obviously Degen still hella good been waiting for her since when i started the game and saw her just not too keen on potential for operators)
It took me 190 pulls, 7 off banner 6 stars (6 were dupes, 1 was new), and on the 190th pull I finally got her, did it make me angry at her? yes. Do I regret it? kinda. Do I like her? Absolutely. At least I still have a large stockpile for Wis'adel and Logos
nah bro, logos is the true star of the next banner. Walter is also really good, but I'd pull both of them even if they sucked (I just love their characters, especially logos)

i used her in IS alongside ethan, those two together are an absolute menace to ground enemies. literally nothing gets past them

Got her day one. Been waiting for her to be playable for ages and then waiting for her to come to global when she eventually did walk out of NPC jail.
I've been using her along with Virtuosa and Inês to create a killbox for Typhon or Chalter, its quite fun.

Honestly I'm so glad I pulled for Ascalon, mainly because she came home early and I still have 300+ for Wis'adel.
