Ceobe’s secret power is the stat bloat of newer enemies with 1.5k or more defense. The problem with damage casters is that they are essentially all interchangeable regardless of archetype, with the exception of those with really powerful, unique traits. GG with global range, Ceobe with bonus damage from defense, Lin being a tank, etc. So every caster either competes with Eyja for damage or Gnosis for crowd control.
This is literally what I've known since her release. If her tornado just pierced enemies or had some aoe she would instantly be decent, but again she has that one talent that is essentially not useful at all. She has too many restrictions cause I'm pretty sure HG held back on her so much cause they know how strong she could've been or was when they were making her.
And with Mumu in the same banner HG think since her VA already on par and but mommy like sawashiro unlike yukari tamura so HG decided to held back her kit. Although people will pull for both believe me I don't want Mumu but got both.😅 I mean Mumu DPS is busted but again we did get event limited banner where both operators are broken (IL siracusano) both penance and Texas alt are broken respectively even lunacub and then we have vigil (HG fix this boy!)
@@abrahamwijaya6631 undertides had gladiia as welfare while having skalter and kaltsit on the banners. that's ages ago and it didn't really affect much anything, mumu and hool didn't need to be balanced around each other, hg just needed to make a non contradicting operator that can atleast luve up to its intended potential. Just look at nightmare lol, has an s1 niche that's literally a new class of medics now which doesn't require skills to activate, terrible talents, and counter intuitive s2 that deals damage based on distance travelled by enemies BUT SHE SLOWS THEM SO WTF WAS IT EVEN SUPPOSED TO DO.

They updated the enwmy info UI, so if you wanna know wether or not an enemy ability is silencable or not, if you check their profile you can see of a skill is silenceable, if the ability has a black X next to it, it can be silenced
Yeah it does show if an enemy is immune to silence or not, but sometimes even if an enemy is not immune to silence their mechanic still happens, like the conehead sheep in so long adele can be silenced, but they still leave carmine steam even if when they are silenced.
@@FABKlNG the carmine steam spawning ability on those sheep doesn’t have the little black x next to it in the traits list that they mentioned, it’s just a regular bullet point. It’s shown on an ability-by-ability basis, rather than being listed with the status immunities.

Small thing to note on the Surtr and Mlynar comparison near the end, while they both probably still don't one cycle phase 2 DBS, they both also get hit by her burning breath, which does nerf the damage they deal to DBS, while Ho'olheyak doesn't get afflicted by it the entire time. Doesn't devalue the strength of her split boxing though. Overall, solid showcase.
Nice video! As a fellow Ho'olheyak enjoyer, another fun synergy she has is with trapmaster. You can place traps under levitated enemies so the snares combined with snek S3 makes for some really strong cc!
For me, she's been a unique form of crowd control. Her tornadoes have slowed enemies just enough (especially ones that can't be blocked) to allow me to handle particularly tough enemies or waves. Also, love her EN voice!

I was thinking along the lines of something like that, maybe to make the talent more interesting, the threshold of weightlessness would significantly be reduced, to maybe 50% or 60% and she would deal increased damage to weight 3 and lower enemies, like around 140% damage, so it would be like a mirror to Rosa's mod... but maybe that's too optimistic haha.

I love content creators that try to find ways to make operators great rather than just regurgitating community rhetoric. 1 thing I would have added is that certain enemies are vulnerable to levitate while being immune to stun/sleep/freeze. A great example of this is Degenbrecher since she's a fairly annoying enemy that you can bully with Ho'olheyak and pretty much only Ho'olheyak at least until they add more strong levitate users. So building someone who is the best applier of levitate will let you have that in your back pocket when more enemies like Degenbrecher come in the future. I'm told but have not confirmed that there is a certain enemy in IS 4 that is vulnerable to levitate as well. Also, like 6 months ago there was an Arknights informal tournament that had some of the best players on global competing against each other and you got to see a lot of Exusiai and Ebenholz in that tournament. I think a lot of players underrate the operators that the best players are using because they don't use buffers enough.
Got Ho'olhyeak pot 6 when sparking for Rosmontis and haven't really used her much yet. Didn't know you could split box S3 that's some epic tech and now I have to build Qanipalaat too for that synergy.
Ahhhh, I need her to come home aaaaaa, i didn't even consider splitboxxing (also when she gets module 2, if her restriction on talent 2 is taken away she'll likely thrive with the pusher gang

I've been a supporter of her S2 from the get go. Calling it an Amiya S2 sidegrade is wrong. It's amiya S2 with everything bad about it removed, making it an actual good skill. Multihit skill benefits more from basically everything than single hit skills, from attack buffs to enemy mechanics such as number of hit requirements or, in the current event, applying white clouds for the rest of attacks to go through. The only downside for multihit attacks is defense penetration, but that only applies to physical damage and not arts. So its just a really good skill. Ho'ol's S3 is overrated IMO. To really take advantage of it, you basically need to find two nearby parallel 'ifrit lanes', which isnt common, or you have to cross lane with it. But cross lane with it is really bad because of how its a moving projectile rather than just an autohit attack. Unless you have blockers to position enemies, you're basically relying on enemies to walk into the tornado rather than her actually attacking enemies. Plus, what is she going to do while the skill is down? She doesn't have the range to cross lane better than any other operator without it. All in all, Ho'ol is held back from being great because of how bad her s3 is, but she still has a perfectly good S2, its just not broken like Goldenglow S3 or something.

You may already know this but Dorothy pairs very well with Muelsyse due to her aspd being like .8 and just 1 of the fastest attacking operators in the game. She is the highest dps clone option assuming low defense enemies.

I was hoping for IS synergies as I find all 3 of her skills quite viable in that mode with different relic builds you can rely on with skill 1 and skill 3 plus even s2 depending on the general relic buffs you get, which is rare for a six star who usually has 1 or 2 at most in that particular game mod. Like you can do hand of core caster s1 machine gun which you can also pair with spinach type relics for rapid fire beeg numbers while also not having slow projectile issues that eyja, ifrit and dusk(in my experience so feel free to correct if I was mistaken) have that make their supposed to be benificial skills miss the spinach type 1 second buff, tornado alley with s3 or bank on the multiplicative arts damage buffs, caster/ranged op atk buff to make her sharp style big multiplicative atk buff tornados hit 8k-10k+ damage while S2 is ol reliable spammable skill when theres no spinach or you find the skill fits the stage more than S3 does.
IS 3 is plagued by insanely high resistance enemies at high Surging Waves which does make using arts damage difficult but not impossible. This hurts the conversation around her for IS due to a lot of the serious players only caring about SW 15.
That's only a small percentage of players anyway and way outside actual regular IS3 SW level plays as SW15 is basically max risk CC with the sheer difficulty it does that heavily narrows the roster and not a good basis for operator capability. Its like saying texas aint an arts nuker coz she didnt instakill the gajillion HP enemies in POO.(Unfortunately, this was a hottake spouted by someone and I lost tons of braincells from that)

If you want a core caster to hit enemies. You might be better off with Ceobe's S3, which targets enemies with the lowest def. I think most flying units tend to have low def, unless its the ones that bombard you with a ton of damage. It also has a 5 sec silence and expanded range. Although Ho'olheyak's S3 has a shorter duration and cost less sp.
it wasn't my opinion that ho'ol was 'bad' per se. but if you can buy ceobe and eyja for 180 from the distinction shop with regularity, and goldenglow gets rate up. this is the field she's competing with. I'm assuming any account that can drop 200 pulls for ho'oly HAS eyja, golden glow and ceobe, what is the use case for her?
In the video I show some scenarios where Ho'olheyak would do better than either Ejya or Coebe, Ejya would not be able to kill either of Taluhlas's phases, or not be able to cover both phases of Manfred as fast These would be the use cases for her. Hope this helps!
200 pulls on ho'ol? you're lucky. I got Mumu pretty early but Ho'ol is the one I wanted. 300 pulls and no Ho'ol at all I had to spark for her. Now I cant pull for eyja since Im saving for Viviana and Artorius as well.
Ho'ol bad? yesnt she isnt a nuke but her range and semi stalling is actually great and her Res ignore helps the only bad thing is her first talent imo hitting aerial enemys is nice and all... but the amount of time enemys Levitate is just not doing it outside of skill 2

Yeah, her talent 2 is meh... Particularly when you remember Angelina exists, who gives a *global* weightless for as long as she has a skill active. But well... It's a nice talent to have, at least? Lol. Anyway, I need to invest in her more... Eventually.
Not sure if I missed when you said it but people often forget that the first talent is active on the hits that cause the levitate (she levitates enemies before dealing the damage) Speaking of synergies, there is a gimmick with S1 and Mr.Nothing where you can perma stall an enemy (if it's vulnerable to stun and levitate) Another gimmick is people using her talent 2 to skip the boss fight in Is4 with Weedy.

ho'ol is perfect already. she costs too much, her power is swire alter, but swire costs 7 DP. If she cost 10 DP she would be my favorite operator.

it wasn't my opinion that ho'ol was 'bad' per se. but if you can buy ceobe and eyja for 180 from the distinction shop with regularity, and goldenglow gets rate up.

200 pulls on ho'ol? you're lucky. I got Mumu pretty early but Ho'ol is the one I wanted. 300 pulls and no Ho'ol at all I had to spark for her. Now I cant pull for eyja since Im saving for Viviana and Artorius as well.

the only bad thing is her first talent imo hitting aerial enemys is nice and all... but the amount of time enemys Levitate is just not doing it outside of skill 2

Not sure if I missed when you said it but people often forget that the first talent is active on the hits that cause the levitate (she levitates enemies before dealing the damage)
Speaking of synergies, there is a gimmick with S1 and Mr.Nothing where you can perma stall an enemy (if it's vulnerable to stun and levitate)
Another gimmick is people using her talent 2 to skip the boss fight in Is4 with Weedy.
