I flew from London in 2014 to NOLA and then Destin after. The memories I made there are some of the best I have. It may sound silly to some but I'm so happy I found this video.
Thanks I've been looking for a Destin Florida meditation since 2017 I can't believe you're just now poped up in my feed! 🤔Finally I can watch listen to this 24hrs day even at work. Thank you 💙
I was born and raised down there. We knew the Destin Family. Mr. Destin was a fishermen . The Destin area used to be so so small with hardly any structures blocking the beautiful view of the Gulf. I remember as small child having to go all the way to Fort Walton to do grocery shopping. I miss those days and I am so glad I knew Destin before the crowds. Back when it was truly the " Luckiest Fishing Village" , back when the Green Knight stood proudly there off of Main Street and 98. I remember back before Hurricane Opal hit the area flattening the sand dunes that stood so so high . As high as 3 story high-rises and condos. Back when Crab Island was an actual island with pine trees . Not a shallow sand bar covered in boats and people. As a Florida native I appreciate the revenue that development brings to the area. It has brought so much money to my home. But as a Florida native I can say I am very very happy I knew the place before it became popular.
Me, too. So much of the natural beauty has been lost. But I'm grateful for the opportunities. Seems like most of the ambitious and talented kids felt they had to leave. Not so much now.
I miss destin so much Omg. I love it there. I captured beautiful video but sadly this girl in background kept high pitch laughing every few seconds drowning it all out. Is this section of Destin anywhere near Mainsail ?
Oh yeah abd don't forget 2 words.. sand fleas 🪳 they just hop abd fly around everywhere 😶 the beach is paradise but would be even more without the sand fleas 🪳👀😶
I've been to destin since I was born and my mom the same... her aunt lived in destin. We never experienced sand fleas. Once sand flies that bite but that was not destin but santa rosa Beach further east. Maybe it was the time of year or an off thing. The best beach I've ever been to has been Destin and 30A. I got my husband and his family hooked on those beaches too.
I went on vacation with my wife & daughter to Destin last month and we already wanna go back! 🌊🖤🤘🏻
I watch and listen and it reminds me of when I used to live there. Thank you 🫶
