Turn ing the flashlight off doesnt do anything during hunts. You can keep it on and as long as ur hiding it shouldnt kill ya. If it wonders into your hiding room and sees you tho, you may die. With or without the flashlight off.
Sorry to ruin the fun but:. The ghost Draws a vector to the player. So , blocking his vision (line between the ghost and player) with objects, walls, or whatever. It will help to make the ghost target other player or start wandering around. So not shouting and turning off the light does nothing.
@@Kimshu6 It's implying if you have it off, it can track you in the general area, not that it sees you. If ya have the light on, it should not find you as easily unless it blatantly can see the lights aoe. So when the ghost is close in the same room, long as ye got the light off or pointed at the ground, it should not find ya unless it saw ya. And that's nearly 200 levels of experience talking to ya.
I’m disappointed in how few people are pointing out how Wade in that last game decided to lure the ghost for Mark. It’s a small thing overall, but seeing the guy who has the most to lose willingly grab aggro (in a funny way to boot) to make sure his friend with far less to lose actually survives the game is heartwarming, and in a way fairly badass for Wade. Dude’s the butt of the group’s jokes half the time, but he’s still a true G.
Me reacting to this comment: Facepalm* sound doesnt matter during hunts, nor does flashlights. Its line of sight dumbass, if the ghost can see you it will go for you but if you hide drom its line of sight, even if you scream out loud bloody murder, it wont find you.

@@starcalf_ incorrect. there are others. if you turn on your walkie talkie and hear static, the hunts still going, if you're able to hear people through the walkie talkie, then the hunts over. Also, if you try to flick a lightswitch on and off, the sound effect won't trigger if the hunts going on. If you can hear the light flicker, then the hunt is over. The flashlight isn't the only way to determine whether hunt is going on or not.
I'm convinced that the ghosts agro based on level, like in mmos. Like a low level ghost isn't going to go for the level 200+ guy when there's a level 13 noob to feast on.

The oni went straight for Mark because the AI randomly selects a play to hunt before the Oni starts hunting. So it goes directly after its target and ignores everyone else. Mark you just got the short straw.
Would be cool but I’m trying to think about how exactly this would work mechanically. Would the game just constantly be recording what everyone is saying and playing things at random, would you be required to record “lines” that would be saved to the game before you can go out on missions? Both of those options sound a little unreasonable but would be the most realistic and true to your idea. It’s a fantastic idea, and would really add to the atmosphere, but mechanically speaking it would probably be hard to pull off, plus some people probably wouldn’t be comfortable with their voices being saved to a cloud somewhere by a game company, but I guess to solve that you could make it a “Permissions” type thing where after the implementation, it asks you if it’s okay the first time you load in and you can choose yes or no. Great idea, though, genuinely, I would love to see it happen.

Turn ing the flashlight off doesnt do anything during hunts. You can keep it on and as long as ur hiding it shouldnt kill ya. If it wonders into your hiding room and sees you tho, you may die. With or without the flashlight off.
i'd rather see the ghost come into the room than sit in the dark to await death
Sorry to ruin the fun but:.
The ghost Draws a vector to the player. So , blocking his vision (line between the ghost and player) with objects, walls, or whatever. It will help to make the ghost target other player or start wandering around. So not shouting and turning off the light does nothing.

So you DONT want to turn the light off.
@@Kimshu6 It's implying if you have it off, it can track you in the general area, not that it sees you.
If ya have the light on, it should not find you as easily unless it blatantly can see the lights aoe.
So when the ghost is close in the same room, long as ye got the light off or pointed at the ground, it should not find ya unless it saw ya.
And that's nearly 200 levels of experience talking to ya.

I’m disappointed in how few people are pointing out how Wade in that last game decided to lure the ghost for Mark. It’s a small thing overall, but seeing the guy who has the most to lose willingly grab aggro (in a funny way to boot) to make sure his friend with far less to lose actually survives the game is heartwarming, and in a way fairly badass for Wade.
Dude’s the butt of the group’s jokes half the time, but he’s still a true G.

@@starcalf_ incorrect. there are others. if you turn on your walkie talkie and hear static, the hunts still going, if you're able to hear people through the walkie talkie, then the hunts over. Also, if you try to flick a lightswitch on and off, the sound effect won't trigger if the hunts going on. If you can hear the light flicker, then the hunt is over. The flashlight isn't the only way to determine whether hunt is going on or not.

Nah not voices , replics or words. It would be pretty creepy not knowing anything and your friends is dead and you hear his voice ingame...
Would be cool but I’m trying to think about how exactly this would work mechanically. Would the game just constantly be recording what everyone is saying and playing things at random, would you be required to record “lines” that would be saved to the game before you can go out on missions? Both of those options sound a little unreasonable but would be the most realistic and true to your idea. It’s a fantastic idea, and would really add to the atmosphere, but mechanically speaking it would probably be hard to pull off, plus some people probably wouldn’t be comfortable with their voices being saved to a cloud somewhere by a game company, but I guess to solve that you could make it a “Permissions” type thing where after the implementation, it asks you if it’s okay the first time you load in and you can choose yes or no. Great idea, though, genuinely, I would love to see it happen.
