I've never needed to double register a finger to a scanner. I would instead recommend the pinky finger. This will come in handy every time you're eating or have dirty hands (normally your pinky manages to dodge the grime)
mosincredible you don't necessarily need to register your finger twice, however it does increase accuracy as the scanner will acquire more data from two scans as oppose to a single one.
Just ordered the solar red. can't wait. Coming from OP3 w/6GB of ram so I hope this phone excels at ran management with it's 4GB. If not then I'll get an OP5.
+anthonydotb the ram management is fine. I had the 3T for a long time this phone is no less capable of multitasking.
I got mine Solar Red with 6GB Ram 128GB Storage, it runs so smooth
Thanks for the video Jeff! I've always disabled News Republic, mostly because I'm mad that HTC killed the original in-house BlinkFeed, but also because I don't like NR on it's own, lol.
Just got my U11 last night and have been loving it. A couple steps I do when I disable an app I can't delete, is uninstall updates before I disable it, then tap on "Storage" and clear it after I disable the app.

I guess my concern before I purchase the new HTC U11 is .. are you able to surf and talk at the same time? I'm used to this ability with my current HTC and I'm hoping this is still a capability for this current model. Thanx!

Not convinced with disabling news Republic n specifically boost plus which is a great n must have app for the phone. In fact u should also give boost plus a try. It optimises n speeds up the phone, u have an opinion to lock specific apps thro fingerprint, clears the junk, boosts the memory, u also have an option to reduce the resolution of games and apps from 2k to full HD n many small things it does.Give it a try.
+Kunal Tiku News Republic is awful and very invasive/spammy the way it is implemented by HTC. I don't want news forced on my lock screen out of the box...bad business. Boost+ is not for me, I've tried it but I can manage my phone through my own tools, I'm sure it's great for some inexperienced users that don't have preferences on how to manage certain aspects of their phone.

How can u reduce the resolution from 2k to FHD ?
Hi great videos btw and can you advise what is the most subtle colour as I personally don't want something too shiny although i am a die hard HTC fan and kind of wished that they had at least 1 MATT OPTION like my old HTC M8....shall i go for the BLACK or the BLUE which is the most subtle and thanks so much for all your inputs peeps?! ;-)

I don't have any News Republic notifications or anything like that on my u11. I've got the Verizon edition, if that makes any difference. HTC must have forgot it.

Hi,on some notifications my alert tone is gunfire which is quite annoying and loud,i cant find anywhere to change this ,any ideas ?
Only thing I don't like is I can use head phones or connect head phone jack to mixer board while charging.

Jason Gamblore if you watch this video his phone loses 3% in 10mins, there I.S another review (flossy carter) where he says he charges mid day and battery life is not good. I’m not sure why there are so many contradictory results with the battery. I’m looking to change my iPhone 7 due to poor battery and really can’t decide
KK Glock Nine always lots of factors. I'm also using the 6 gigs of RAM version. Maybe that's the factor here. I've also seen videos the corroborate what I'm saying. RUclips reviews can be bias, have crappy reception etc etc.. but yeah I agree, that looks concerning, but I've had the complete opposite experience. Cheers

I think if you like the S8+, there is not much of a reason to switch to U11. Camera is almost equal, S8+ actually has a much faster shutter speed.
