This was actually an exceptional cop. He was very calm, respectful, yet thorough. He needs to teach all the ignorant and ego-driven cops.
He really did do an amazing job
Edit: I was completely wrong. Thank you for pointing it out to me. This is why random eye witness testimony is nearly worthless.
@@shadowprince4482I'm not sure exactly how it works but I've heard the trunk is different than the car. If probable cause to search the car exists it doesn't necessarily exist to look in the trunk. Cannabis is legal in California so it doesn't give automatic probable cause the way it does in other states. The bullet holes most likely do give probable cause to search everything though.
@@peterbruno657this is Louisiana not California, also bullet holes in a car do NOT constitute probable cause
True! What a professional officer!
Not gonna lie: I found it refreshing to watch a cop taking it slowly and carefully for a change. He kept control of the scene (which was intermittently pretty chaotic) but was not in a rush to act, and good for him.
I kept saying call for back up. I don't know what took him so long.
I agree! How refreshing to watch a cop not immediately pull out his gun and treats this young man cautiously and safely for everyone.☮️💙💜❤️
That’s usually the case. What you see is the exception that makes news.
He was most likely afraid He could be called a racist and jailed if something happed. He'll get shoot one day because He is not carful.
The only issue I have is not hand cuffing him sooner. That cop could have gotten himself killed.
This police officer just made the prosecutor's job alot easier with his approach! This is a great example of good police work.
Yeah, he’s a good cop.
I have been on both sides. However, this guy is a murderer and the officer could have been in immediate danger. Driving with no license or paperwork 20 mph over the speed limit with a marijuana smell; cuffs… immediately.
@@CategoricalImperative
I think this experienced officer went thru the motions but somehow he already knew something is horribly off.
His life is in danger when he clocks in daily because humans are u predictable savages.
@@EarthIsHell999 I'm aware from my 2 years of real world experience. IMO Most humans are not savages, but they are indeed unpredictable.
@shockvaluesracing well my experience of living on 3 different continents and witnessing 5 different murders and violence and going through A revolution etc etc etc i view the curent consumer humans as conditioned and programmed to save self only and therefore are far more savage like in behavior in the spirit of "i dont give a fuxk" and will ignore someone in need. Seen it over and over again. That's why I stay away from humans and live on a remote island because of my own personal experience with them. Good luck
He's actually highly praised for being so professional and careful. He didn't just grab him and search. He was really thorough. That cop had great "Spidey senses"
MOST humans have that sense, too mad most ignore it.
Absolutely agreed!!
This was far from Spidey senses, a piano of suspicion was practically falling on his head!!
For real , what a great officer , many should take lessons on how to get to the truth and not break any rules , very thorough and straight up.
The trooper gave this dude every opportunity to kill him. That was definitely not spidey senses.
Dude forgot to follow the golden rule. “Never break the law while you’re breaking the law.”
🤦♂ Indeed. The one rule that I never fail to remember. 🤣
@@dcallan812Who doesn't obey every traffic rule when you have a body in the trunk? Sheesh. 😄
But to live outside the law, you must be honest. -- Bob Dylan
@@EmeraldViewbreak one law at a time. Never more
All good advice. It always blows my mind when I see someone get pulled over for speeding when they’re trafficking drugs I can’t even imagine having a body in the trunk! Wear your damn seatbelt make sure your DL and registration is all up to date and good, and don’t break any traffic laws!! Is that really so hard to do when the outcome of a routine traffic stop could be 15+ years imprisonment
7:12 when the officer asked if anyone was with him, the suspect pointed to the car out of instinct because he had a body in the car. Crazy how his involuntary nature pointed to the body but then he corrected himself to actually say NO.
brruuuuuhh xD
oh *snap*
I noticed that too 😂
Wild, eh? Points behind himself, “Ya, just my buddy in the trunk.” Human psychology is fascinating.
I didn't notice that. Great observation!
This is a great example of an officer actually taking his job seriously - he isn’t in it for the power trip or he’d have used any excuse to rough this kid up and exert power over him. He’s being so careful because he wants to preserve the integrity of the incident - he’s thinking of the future. It’s refreshing.
That's 99% of cops you just hear about the worst bc of the media usually a cop doing the norm doesn't get any attention. A cop acting out of norm gets all the attention
@@ianthompson2802 orrrrrr it’s so common for cops to abuse their power and for the entire field to be well known for corruption that we see sparse examples of decent cops being smart vs power hungry
@ianthompson2802 As a LEO I'd say it's closer to 85ish%. Depends on the locale and what is "tolerated" in house.
@@WookieWoman and honestly I know all cops aren’t all bad - ANY profession that gives people power will be abused by a lot of people who go into the field. I’ve worked in early childhood care and as a nanny and I can tell you - a HUGE portion of people who work with kids are HORRIBLE people. And then there are those who are wonderful. Or like teachers I’ve had in my life - most kind of sucked, but there were the handful who were incredible. Just want to be clear that I’m not so obtuse as to think it’s black and white.
@@BookishDark I absolutely understand. When it comes to law enforcement (and military lol) it seems to attract 3 types: people who want to serve others, people who can't think of any other career, and people who want to be a Hero. The last one is the worst one. 😩
I was impressed with the cop from the moment he had the kid hand over his phone to ensure he wasn't texting someone to come help him. Very good police work.
People come for the body but they stay because of that Cop. You can tell that cop was very disappointed and didnt want to have to charge that guy for any more than he had to, and crossed his Ts and dotted his i's while being so freaking polite and calm...the way he goes "yeaup" as soon as he pops the trunk, he had a gut feeling
Give that man a raise!!
Gut feelings are not grounds for articulated suspicion
@@terryarmbruster9719 You've never had intuition or a strange funny feeling that something isn't right, did you? It's a hell of a feeling. Police, Medical, and a few other jobs require to live by that feeling to make themselves useful. It's a protective instinct.
@@terryarmbruster9719good thing he had more than just intuition and gut feeling
@@terryarmbruster9719It's called implicit learning. With the amount of experience this officer has. It is absolutely grounds for further inquiry.
You say cop, I have another word I like to use for his kind… 🐖🐷
This cop should be promoted to Detective. He's got great instincts, he's careful, he follows the law.
This officer literally did half of their job for them! Whichever detective got this case should buy this officer dinner or something! 😂
No... He planted the body there. Wow just wooooow.
No, not likely, he definitely lied about speeding. He probably was doing 56 MPH.
@@heynow01 he's *definitely* lying because the dude was *probably* doing 56? Okay buddy
He probably could have been more careful with the suspect as far as officer safety, but I think since the kid was staying so calm the officer was trying NOT to escalate the situation unnecessarily.
I'm blown away by the common sense+detective work this officer did. This guy is a real pro! Glad he's out on patrol!👍👍👮
The only thing that wasn't really common sense from him was that he choose not to put the guy in cuffs and made him hang out in front of his car while he was searching it. He could of booked it when he was only being watched over by one guy who isn't as fit as him, or decided that he isn't going to jail and tried fighting the cops.
@@Algebruh2407SAFETY 1ST ALWAYS. .
@@Algebruh2407Well, if you don’t expect to find more than a bit of weed you probably also don’t expect the person to abandon their car and run or shoot you. In hindsight it’s easy to say he should’ve cuffed him straight away.
I came here after watching the original video and I thought the same thing. Because of the description of the video. I was shocked to see how calm the kid was from the beginning. Then after watching it all play out, the only thing that comes to mind is that he wanted to be caught. He was done. Probably been driving around trying to figure what to do and when he saw those flashing lights, he just gave up. He did lie but he didn't try too hard to get out of anything. He knew the officer was going to find out where he lived. And how he broke down when they asked what happened, that's relief leaving his body that it's all over. JMO
The cop knew something stank right away, and he so carefully proceeded. Good job Officer, for taking the time and doing this right!
It’s tragic. Thinking about it, I consider how much hard work and effort the deceased put into being able to get that car, only to have someone he thought was his friend murder him and steal it while hiding his body in the trunk of his own car. Horribly tragic and condolences to the friends and family.
🤟
It was his dads car they said. “The owners son” but agreed. Very tragic 😔
Yes, it was tragic and condolences to the family and friends.
I believe it was his parents car. But nonetheless it is horrible what happened to him
@@nikkis7375the car was in his mom's name and she's the one who reported him missing 😞
That cop was 100% certain that there was something fishy there and he wanted to make sure that NOTHING he did could help the defense or hinder the prosecution. Excellent job, officer!
Maybe so, but it actually seems like he wasn’t in to it, for whatever reason. Maybe he was going on break in 20 minutes. He just has excellent observation skills, and couldn’t ignore them.
He wanted to make sure he dotted the is and crossed the ts before going further.
Yeah, I thing he had a strong gut feeling that there was more than weed or an unlicensed driver. Didn't he say at one point that "something just doesn't feel right" or something?
I am reaaly mad , that cops must do such much paperwork nowaday, to save a person ,may by, from kidnapp in a trunk!😢😢😢 A rotten lawyer get Millionen of compensationmoney for the suspect and for himself !! 😢😢😢 The cop lose his job !
I agree, high IQ move there, he stayed calm, he knew he had the guy and the car pulled over so it didn't matter how long it took to get it straight it's worth it compared to the cost of what happens if it goes wrong. Excellent.
I'm guessing that cop's department might have had issues with unlawful search in the past, because his patience and caution was legendary. I don't think there's a judge in the country that would have dared to question whether there was enough probable cause to search.
There was no way to make an illegal search in this case, not his car, car not borrowed to him, he doesn't have permission to use the car, the car is stolen.
An Illegal search at the onset would of held up in court, there was a recent supreme court case where they were dealing with rental cars being borrowed to someone else. The arrest got thrown out in that case but they went over this.
And this is where there is a problem with law. It allows murderers to get off scotch free on technicality.
Agreed
How do you borrow something to somebody? Do you mean loan?
@@papapsych2746yeah. But if nothing is in the car, even if it was probable cause, cops get looked at as bullies and power hungry. Shit like that. Sounds like he had to be patient to avoid this.
What an amazing officer. I hope he gets a pay raise and is an influence on other officers. Exceptional man.
Wow. Kid was calm on the outside. I bet his heart was at 150.
Great job to the police officer. Sorry you had to see that poor kid in the trunk. May he Rest In Peace.
Sociopaths have very low levels of anxiety, if any. They can stay calm in situations like this.
Being high as a kite probably helped.
"you better get some act right into you"
I love this cop. I gotta say, he is one of the least egotistical officer I have ever seen. He's incredibly patient and level headed, not unnecessarily escalating, and genuinely not trying to find problems where none exist, but also aware enough to have a good bs detector. He seems like someone who is in his job for the right reasons, not as a power trip or excuse to thump skulls. This is how I want more police to be.
Then tell Society to get more act right into them and you'll see results... Hopefully. Possibly. Probably not.

I'm a retired nurse and you deal with death often, BUT you have to feel for police officers who deal with the worst in our society and see such horrific forms of death .
Yep, that was what I was thinking about. In certain situations you are prepared for death (as much as you can be), but can’t imagine the shock when your body and mind aren’t prepared at all and you suddenly find a body
I’m going to a counselor at my university for it, but since you’re more familiar seeing it, do you have any advice for someone with a fear of aging and death? I’m in my early 20s and It started up last week and I haven’t been able to shake it.
@@StarfayeArt I know I’m not the one you asked, but I have a background in psychology so I just wanna give my 2 cents! Usually when there’s a fear of something, there’s a deeper meaning. I.e fear of vomit can be a fear of losing control. Or a fear of heights can be biological. That’s the rational part, trying to see what you fear specifically and why.
Then there is coping. Seeing what triggers any anxious thoughts. Giving yourself exposure and not completely avoiding it at all costs, because that will make the fear bigger over time. (By avoiding you tell yourself that it IS scary, you SHOULD be scared and you will get more scared).
Without knowing much context about you, I can not give any reaally helpful advice, but the biggest component I think, would be acceptance. Accepting and rationalizing death and aging as a normal component to life. Like it would be a mathematical problem. “2+2=4” and people age and pass away.
Then there are the normal coping mechanisms for when you feel a panic attack or anxiety attack: breathing, mindfulness, asmr, taking a walk, doing something that makes you happy. You can rewire your brain into making it less and less scary over time. You’re making the neural path weaker by associating the moment of fear, by doing something that calms the body+mind.
This is not something that will go away in a day, it takes practice.
Best of luck to you and if you have any questions about what I wrote, feel free to ask (:
@@StarfayeArtThat kind of fear is very common and can come up at different times in life, sometimes you need to just go out and do stuff you enjoy, remember that we are all in the same boat and it's ok to feel fear

When asked if he’s alone he practically points to the trunk. The cop states he is going to do the obvious thing and the one thing he wanted to do the entire time is pop the trunk. With bullet holes in the driver side, missing driver of the vehicle I think he had a suspicion. He needed back up and definitely was dreading to pop the trunk. Definitely awesome cop with good instincts. He would make a great detective.
I was pleased how cautious the cop was about it all. He didn’t just yank him out and gut the car, he called the right people and triple checked his information even though the weed was more than enough cause to search without a warrant.
Should have cuffed the guy a lot sooner.
@@theloanranger2632 It's easy to say that when we have the benefit of hindsight, but everyone deserves to be treated with compassion first and foremost.

He was probably initially thinking that it was a stolen vehicle, and the kid was joy riding. But when he saw the bullet holes, he knew that he was dealing with a more serious crime. And he did not want to screw it up. He probably doesn't get a stop like this every day.
man I'd hope he doesn't get a stop like this every day lmao
Let's hope not.
"There might some fuckery afoot" needs to be on a shirt or a magnet. 😂
Props to the cop, not only for his patience, but for being so thorough even though he can already already arrest the kid. I think he's just trying to 1. Be as safe as possible, 2. Make sure there are no loop holes that can be used to get him off. 3. He wants to cover every base so he can't be accused of profiling, fabricating evidence, etc.

This is a very good example of the importance of bodycams and cops following procedure.
I really like how cautious the cop was being in this. We need more guys like him. He gave him the benefit of the doubt in every instance until the evidence of wrongdoing was too large to ignore. Kudos to him!

Really? I don't know why everybody is saying this. Ultimately I think that this could have turned out very tragic for this police officer. His guardian Angel must be doing overtime looking out for him. This seemed to me to be an absolute recipe for disaster. I hope this is not taught as a way to do things in any Police academy. Why on Earth would you turn your back on a potential suspect whom you just pulled over for speeding they have no driver's license they smell like marijuana they've admitted to having drugs in the car they've admitted that it is not their vehicle they don't know their address or they won't tell you their address and now you find bullet holes in car. I’m a lawyer and I found my neighbour murdered several years ago. I was so freaked out my mind actually blocked out what I actually saw in that room but it still affected me for a long time. This stuff stays with you.
Yeah, I was right next to my friend when a cop blew his head off. I have vivid recurring nightmares of that incident replaying in slow motion.
Unlike lawyers, many people don't actually understand the consequences of being found near a dead body and what might happen, especially in today's society with complex legal systems. Any corrupt or malevolent law enforcement individual can fabricate charges, plant evidence, and coerce witness testimonies, often with support from their colleagues. This could result in anyone, regardless of guilt, being sentenced to life in prison.
I hope you find healing. A cop is like a health professional in training. The most empathetic ones are the best and learn how to separate themselves from trauma, before they are thrown into the field. Or, I hope they would get that training. Stopped packed in a car with friends, ran from police ditching school and caught stealing and the time I got detained loitering they took a knife off me. Never been in handcuffs or arrested. All of this stuff that was my fault or just police doing their job was when I was a kid. I can see why a teen would be nervous, but adults not really or rather, so nervous it's visible. I don't even buy into the whole cops are bad thing and I should be afraid because I'm black. As an adult, they don't even look my way and I got no issue talking to them or saying hello or anything. I don't get what an adult would be nervous about. They're just cops, they're not out to get you and if you didn't do anything what's the big deal? and if you did something minor, apologize, take your ticket or warning and go about your business.
Sometimes I think people give into false social ideas or they've been too coddled so any minor event shakes them up more than it should. Believe me, I rather have grown up less exposed to nonsense but seeing both sides of things gives perspective.

Nice job covering the story. The cop is a rare gem. His patience, thoroughness and instincts are world class. I feel for this young man and his family. Good kid, graduating, CJ degree, very sad situation. 😢 Not enough jail time in the world for this. The audacity to ride around with his body in the trunk. The dad can't even keep the car. How painful.
The sad thing is that the cop's instincts aren't necessarily "world-class," they're simply how cops SHOULD behave. Unfortunately that's such a rarity in our world that when we see cop's doing what they're supposed to do, we're in awe. Very eye-opening and tragic for the young life that was lost in this.
It seems to me like the cop is a good dude who genuinely didn't want to assume the worst of the kid.
He never used an unreasonable amount of force or aggression, even after he saw the body. There was a brief moment where he pulled out his gun and aimed it at the kid, but quickly realized the kid wasn't resisting and wasn't an actual threat. The gun was probably unnecessay, but I don't blame the guy at all for being a bit freaked out and on edge after seeing a dead person in the trunk, and he assessed that the actual danger was low pretty quickly and didn't continue to escalate.
Using kid gloves cause he's black.
@@abeltesfaye_ Two lives when you think of it - the damn fool kid driving the car who killed just for a brief moment in time to have a fancy car has now ruined his own life forever, and possibly his family's lives. Glad he's taken out of the gene pool.
@@greyhoundlifesavers6431 Exactly this, blacks are treated with kid gloves in this country by police. Whites are killed at twice the rate of blacks per police interaction.
I can vouch for La State Troopers they are top tier incredibly cool calm collected and polite and just so dang intelligent
Bull-shit lmfao. They’ll fly 40 above fhe speed limit on a flooding highway. God damn they do not give a shit as long as they can send someone to the farm.
What an incredible officer. He did everything by the book and stayed mindful of the perps rights. These are the kind of men we want representing our police.
It's tough to be a cop today. This cop was exceptionally thorough and at the same time he protected himself. Not once was he out of line and he protected the integrity of this case. Excellent job, Officer. Thanks, Bruce.
My kid wants to be a cop. I’m praying he changes his mind-while at the same time, I’m proud of his sense of dignity and desire to serve and protect.
I think there have always been difficulties being a cop. Just curious why you specifically think nowadays.
Yeah it's tough abusing power, ego trippen, being a "good" cop but not stopping the "rotten" cops on your same shift and patrol. 😂🙄.
@@flybriur The All Cops Are Bad crowd, for one. The way mainstream media keeps promoting only the bad stories of police, not the ones where they actually do their job and do a good job, which are more often and common than the bad police. The way people view police in general as 'bad' now a days.
@@Wildreinhorsemanshipdepends on area he works in. Where I live, I dont hear of officers getting killed or hurt that often. We had a death of a officer last yr. He was was killed during a call for domestic violence .
What really got me about this entire encounter was how patient the officer was and how thorough he was. He wasn't a jerk, he wasn't soft. He was direct and professional. It was literally a masterclass on navigating through a guys BS without losing your composure. The only weird thing to me in this was how long it took for back-up when something clearly seemed suspicious to the officer. I don't know anything about anything, but if BR says he could get a warrant not sure why they'd overcomplicate this.
EXACTLY 💯
Speeding with a dead body in the truck guy is a genius
Everything about this perp's situation screams "Criminal Genius!"
Stacking mistakes on mistakes. Imagine that
Definitely want to make sure this officer is recognized for the way he handled this stop. He was so respectful and professional the whole time, and even seemed sympathetic to the kid at the beginning. Should be the role model that all rookie cops aspire to be.
I watched this incredible video weeks ago. It haunted me. This cop gave the young man every chance to explain some things that just weren't adding up. I kept waiting for the kid to run or the cop get hurt, especially when the trunk was opened. I can't imagine the cop's shock. Poor guy, having to deal with this in a day's work, then go home to his family. I have great respect for him.
That kid was so calm. If he had a license and knew where registration and insurance was he might have gotten off with a warning.
Shows how being calm and respectful puts the cops at ease and they can respond in kind.
I think the bullet holes are a giant red flag
Well, he shouldn’t have had any weed in the car THEN *maybe* he could have gotten away with it (for a little longer anyways)
If he would have been smart enough for that then he wouldn’t have sped 40% over the speed limit. That’s what did him in.
Prayers to the family of the life lost. So tragic so senseless. 😢
What a smart and probably seasoned police officer. Taking all the right precautions to make sure he gets home to his family. You can tell he listens to his intuition and most people's intuitions are right. He maintains his composure as well as his professionalism throughout..Definitely agree he would make an exceptional teacher to new officers.
Disagree with all that
@@macysondheim Then maybe you should say something meaningful next time
Very smart, but it's obvious that Trooper Jessie Nielsen was _not_ a seasoned officer, hence why he touched all his bases before going forward with his search. He was extremely thorough precisely because he knows he isn't as experienced as his superiors and he doesn't want to mess up something huge due to his lack of experience, which is still a good model for other officeds to follow.
At the time of this stop, Nielsen had only been an LA State Trooper for 2 years. While well outside of being a trainee/rookie, he's not exactly a senior officer and would be considered intermediate level.

That officer deserves a lot of respect. He did his job well, used his head, stayed calm and, even though he was sure something was off, didn't over-react. This is the kind of policing that we need to see held up as an example.
I saw the original video, and I’ve never seen a cop look so shocked as he did. Whether it’s admissible or not, at least the parents will get some closure about their son.
He gave cop permission to search the vehicle. That's on tape. Of course the search is admissible.
where's the original video?
@@evelynwaugh4053plus he had reasonable cause because he admitted to having drugs in the car, also they were impounding it because he didn’t have a license. They could’ve searched that car like 3 or 4 different ways and all of them are legal.
And where is the original video??
People like you are beyond annoying. You talk about the original video or the actual story without linking it smhhh
This cop should be a detective. The way he went about approaching this situation slowly and carefully while all his instincts were probably screaming at him was a shining example of exemplary police work! This officer is more then cool and level headed enough to make a fantastic detective...
Bruce you are the man! Up before 7am to give us content on your trip away. You can tell the love you have for your kids and how much doing this with him means to you. God Bless brother.

What an awful sad situation 😔
Someone else probably killed him, he just did the dirtier work
That’s exactly what I think happened
I hear HID not HIT so I also agree
He confessed in custody to killing Michael over a debt
I feel so bad for the cop. You can feel how distressed he is. Too many people underestimate the stress and how difficult it is to be a police officer. Imagine the possibility of dealing with this everyday. Your everyday is someone's worse day. It's constant.
Absolutely. Some of the stuff my buddy tells me, who works patrol in the most dangerous parts of Little Rock…damn. Major respect for those able to put up with that and remain calm and professional like this guy
One would imagine he will feel the stress of this for every traffic stop from here on out. Given how he conducted himself they really should consider giving him the opportunity to get of the road and work in investigations.
I don’t feel bad for him at all. That’s what he signed up for. Im sure the overpaid salary on the taxpayers dime is more than enough for him to get over it.

It's nice to see a good, calm professional officer. Many videos on the tube show the bad cops. Thanks for this one
I actually appreciate that he was so careful because for 1, (sorry, Bruce 😭) it makes it impossible for the defense to throw any of the evidence out based on how the trooper made contact with dude, the questions asked and how the car ended up searched (as I was typing this you mentioned this!)
2. The trooper knew there was something that didn't smell right (pun not intended!) and he was gonna take his time to leave no stone unturned. If that was my body in the trunk or that of my loved one, I'd appreciate this!
Dude got caught red handed!
See a dead body's not necessarily hard, We do it at funerals all the time, but discovering one when your not expecting it must be horrifyingly traumatic
It is. In 2017, two of my friends who were brothers and I were camping. When we went to sleep (they had separate tents, and I was sleeping in their van), one of them decided to use heroin and meth instead of sleeping. His brother woke up to find his body stiff and cold in the morning. The wails he made and whatnot upon finding him are something that I would not like to hear again. I was more just in a stunned silence.
How awful that must have been...
At funerals, the bodies have been embalmed, dressed in an outfit picked out by loved ones, and hair & make-up artists help them to look their best.
When you find one like the poor lad in the video, it's nowhere near as "sanitised". If it's fresh, there will be the smell from the bowels and bladder releasing on death. If it's not fresh, you'll have decomposition, which is a truly vile smell. Dependent on the methods of death and disposal, it can also be very messy and graphic... Add in the shock element to all of that and it becomes a sad reality that those who find bodies as part of their job often end up with PTSD - it really can be that bad.
@@NickyBlue99Jesus, that's awful. I'm truly sorry to read of this. I hope you've been able to get appropriate support to process what happened and safeguard your own mental health 💕
Nicely groomed and decorated funeral dead bodies are not the same as dead bodies you see on the streets.
Now, there is technically nothing wrong with driving a car full of bullet holes. But questions WILL arise...
"this is my own private domicile and i will not be harassed!
bitch"
I was really hoping he said “can you articulate a crime you suspect me of committing?”
😂
Speed holes, they make the car go faster!
Actually if it has holes in it,technically they can say the structural integrity of the automobile is compromised and no insurable making the vehicle a total loss.
Sounds good anyways 😊
I like your “wheels up” phrase, my dad always says “Boots and saddles” when he’s ready to go 😂
Just imagine how many people are driving around with a dead body in the trunk but are driving carefully, obeying the speed limit, and don’t have heavily tinted windows. Pretty scary!
And with fewer than three bullet holes in their cars.
Probably very few but still far more than there should be.

I’m such a wuss. I’ve only been pulled over once when I was 19 for speeding. I was having a ROUGH day so when he came to my window I was trying to hold it in but immediately when I said’ “I’m sorry” I started sobbing uncontrollably. This poor cop let me go without a ticket but I feel so bad I technically cried out of a ticket lol.
I had a cop pull me over for speeding. I was very honest and nice to the cop. I said I was sorry. He let me go without a ticket, I couldn't believe it. It does happen.
it really all depends on how fast you’re going anything 7-10 they may let go with a warning but if its 15+ aint no crying getting you out of that
I did that once when I was about the same age. I was driving from Virginia to Georgia and was swerving a bit because it was towards the end of an 8 hour drive and I was admittedly getting tired. I was so scared but he was really nice about it lol
Cops generally don't really care about minor traffic offences. They pull you over because they 1 want you to stop doing it and 2 to see if there is something else like a DUI that they can get so as long as you are nice to them and don't have a dead body in the trunk they will usually let you go.
That cop was outstanding. Credit for sure
When I saw this video from the original poster I immediately thought "God I hope Bruce Rivers does a reaction to this video", and voila, 3 days later you do a reaction video! This is so amazing. I had the same reaction to the cop being very methodical and cautious. I'm glad I have a perspective now from your legal standpoint on exactly how professional this cop actually was. Thank you for your time!
Me too I love Bruce he explains things so well and the fact he was a prosecutor before he was a defense attorney tells me he's got a conscience unlike alot of defence attorneys like Jose Biaz, how he could represent Casey Anthoney with a straight face blows my mind. If I was a defence attorney I would not take cases where the victim was a child.
I agree but I actually sent a copy to Bruce a few weeks ago.
First videos of his that I've seen, and I love his analysis of what's going on. Only thing I'd have as a criticism is how much he wants the cop to go ahead and search, rather than being safe. It's exceptional how patient and disciplined the cop was.
Just a few thoughts from someone who has worked in this area. I feel like the reason he is being so cautious is he knows something is up and he doesn’t want to tamper with what he feels may be a potential crime scene. That’s why his is being so careful and calling around before he starts ripping the car up. Sports car theft is super high in the south
It's amazing how calm this perpetrator is.. it is eerie. Police officer did an excellent job in kindness. He gave him so many opportunities to be honest with him.
No it just because he is high.
I've seen three deceased people in my life right after they passed
That sticks with you , I can't understand why anyone would take a life just to get a car

@@Chuck_EL I am pretty sure that isn't what happened at all. If it was the car they wanted they wouldn't he shooting at the car. Clearly this was come beef they had. He even said he wasn't the one who shot him. He just hit him, he said. So likely there was a fight or altercation, he tried to run away, and they shot at his vehicle and he didn't survive. He was likely trying to remove the evidence. If they simply just wanted the car they putting him in the trunk of it and driving around with the license plate still on it. He clearly knew the guy when he confirmed his name so this wasn't some robbery.

God bless this cop. As a Louisiana resident I can tell y'all we have some great persons in law but we could def use more law enforcement like this cop all across America. Thank you.

You're doing great Bruce, don't worry about the production value. There is something to be said for not over-editing something to death and the change in venue is always interesting and appreciated. Watch out for flash floods from melting glaciers 👀
One of the most intense bodycam videos I've seen, by far. That cop was on top of his game. There's something satisfying about seeing just plain, good ole fashioned police work in action. This turned out tragic all around. Lives lost to violence and "the system," with families likely destroyed on both sides.
I’m stealing “there’s fuckery afoot”. 😂😂😂
This is what professionalism looks like. Bravo to the cop
I’ve seen this video before and I always thought the cop was being very cautious with the car cause he suspected it might be a crime scene. I think once he knew the driver was lying and then he found out the owner of the car is missing plus the bullet holes on the driver’s side I think he knew that a serious crime was committed and wanted to preserve the evidence the best he could. He really did a great job. I’d rather a cop be overly cautious then dismissive
