Christians: the New Israel
God freed Israel from a king who persecuted the Jews. Jesus, the light of the world, liberates us from darkness, sin, and trials. Barnabas, whose name means "son of encouragement", edified the early believers who were suffering persecution. With faith and hope, believe in the strength of our Lord.
We reflect: Does my life shine the light of Christ my saviour for others?
