Funny how most people disliked Dan in the first episodes yet everyone is so devastated at his death. Such great character development.
The way Dan's death hit me was unexpected. I couldn't stop crying. Didn't realize how attached I was to him. Everyone's performance was amazing.
It was Kevin Alejandro's suggestion that they kill off Dan back when this was going to be the final season of the show.
I love the scene where Maze and Lucifer take down the mercenaries who killed Dan. Maze making way for her king in that moment. I wonder what he would have told to the last mercenary, because Lucifer left him alive but totally terrified.
The girl sitting behind Lucifer at the funeral is Tom Ellis' eldest daughter

I thought for sure everyone would get there in time to save Dan before anything happened, so I was really shocked when he got shot. It was crushing.
Trixie finding out about her dad was heartbreaking. Especially when Lucifer called her "my dear sweet child." He's never called her anything like that before, it's always some jokingly derogatory term like "urchin" because he's uncomfortable around kids, so to have him call her a sweet child broke me.
Oh now I see it! The guy who's supposed to hook up with Lopez is the guy from Season 6 trailer

When you saw the Season 1 finale, did you think you'd see Dan again? Most people thought he would be in prison.
Yes, Dan has been nearly as unstable as Maze throughout the series. I'm surprised they never got together ...
Some things:
+ The _"ChloDan"_ thing *never died!* Their friendship really blossomed *AFTER* their divorce.
+ Dan became a *major* _DeckerStar_ shipper, at least as far back as 5x06, in realizing that Chloe would be better off with Lucifer than with Jed! He finally realized it in 5x08 when he remarked to Maze _"He really does care about her, doesn't he?"_
+ When Lucifer pranked Dan, at the end he admitted that Dan _"would at least try to do the right thing."_
we all cried on this episode snotty runny messy tears. this is the hardest episode of lucifer ever but stock up on tissues crying not over. no spoilers. take care 😈😘 season 666 starts on netflix on 10th september this year. the final lucifer season 😭 not ready for lucifer ending

Initially Dan did some shitty things that affected Chloe, and indirectly Trixie. I think the writers went out of their way in this episode to turn around his image "Oh, look how good he is for Ella!", "Oh, he filled the form for Amenadiel", "Oh, he is supportive of Chloe and Lucifer" (which for me, hinted that they were raising his character to do something bad to him), so I didn't feel so bad, but what broke me was Trixie's voice asking "Where's my dad?". I felt worse for her, than for Dan himself.
Kind is sad we got to see all the silly conversation Lucifer had with the other angels but we completely miss Dans death 😏… I know you guys tried
