Near the end of the video a cricket or frog starts making a ton of noise. My headphones block out sound really well so i did not realize how bad it was. I am sorry for the distraction. I spent half an hour trying to find the source of the noise but whatever it was vanished.

Kevin Alejandro (Dan) asked the show runners if he could be killed off as it was the final season (supposedly)and he wanted to do a death scene, initially they said no but then as they got further into the season they found a way to include it, then shortly after they filmed it they found out they got S6 and they then decided they had to find a way to include Dan, so we will see Dan in S6 but they haven't said how we will. This episode is so emotional and so well acted it really hits you in the feels, you can help but get a tear in the eye.

When I watched this for the first time, I felt like "no, it couldn't be true", but when the scene in clinic appeared, I cried so much because I understood 😭 I never cried at the death of show character before as here. Acting there went off the charts, especially young Scarlett and Lauren... It was so real... 😭👍
But hold on for the next one, it is really good, but the rollercoaster... again
I think Dan's guilt is from putting Trixie in danger at Lucifers penthouse

we had a saying in around 2000 - do you know how you recognize good series on Fox? it is the one they cancel in/after first season.
The Season 6 teaser photos have Lucifer standing next to a ... _DeLorean_ with a theater in the background showing one of Penelope Decker's movies and some theorize that Lucifer will travel back in time and change something in Dan's past to alter his future.
OTOH, if Lucifer is really God, I'm not sure why that would be necessary.

right there with you on this episode but the actor who played dan felt his character arc had run its course and wanted to be killed off. when trixie came in asking for her dad that’s when the messy snotty tears came for me. take care 😈🏴😭😘😈
I watch various reactions to this show, and you were the only one who connected the dots regarding Amenadiel's necklace that was supposedly buried in Caleb's grave. I thought I was the only one to connect both, but I see that we are both very fans of this show.
I've actually been surprised at how many people -- both viewers *and* characters in the show -- didn't remember who Caleb was.
Yes. Now we see the importance of Uriel, Caleb Mayfield, and God Johnson in the story line.
And Azrael still doesn't retrieve her blade! *(Why* would she need it in the first place?)
Just with the opening without the normal intro song I knew that something really bad would happened in this episode 😨☹️

Yes it was unfair but it was supposed to be the last season at first and the end of Dan's redemption line plus they wanted to find the right reason for Lucifer to become God (for the Dan's sake)
Also - I keep wondering about the whole Dan in Hell thing. Amenadiel does not say Dan is in Hell. He says he’s not in Heaven. I think that’s significant. There are very few throw away lines in Lucifer. They do say (the showrunners, Tom, and Kevin) that Dan comes back in Season 6 - but not the way we might think . ???
I can't imagine where else he'd be. If there was a purgatory, or if ghosts could stay on Earth, surely Luci and Amenadiel would know about that.
I, too, think that this is all part of God’s plan. He even tells Luci and Amenadiel that it’s all part of the plan as he leaves with the Goddess.
But as Lucifer himself once said, "I know [he has a plan], but why does everyone always think it's a GOOD plan?"
When you said you were thinking about Trixie as soon as Dan was shot, I was like, "Oh, boy, he's not making it through the hospital scene."
To your pondering about psychopaths: it's not really an issue because the concept of a psychopath as someone incapable of guilt or empathy is a myth. Everyone is capable of empathy. The thing that separates psychopaths -- an outdated term for those with Antisocial Personality Disorder -- from most people isn't that they lack empathy, it's that their empathy isn't automatic. When you or I watch this episode and see Trixie in pain, our brains automatically simulate that pain, putting us in her shoes and making us feel what she feels. For someone with APD, that doesn't happen; they see Trixie in pain and it's just as matter-of-fact as seeing a puppy cross the sidewalk. BUT if they actually put some conscious effort into understanding others' emotions -- if they *try* to have empathy -- they absolutely can.
So the way I see it, since even psychopaths are capable of empathy if they choose, the heaven/hell guilt system still works. When they die, they just no longer get to choose to opt out of that empathy.
You watch a lot of shows but you don't watch Supernatural. It's crazy their GOD killed Dan.
I have seen most of Supernatural. I quit the after Dean lost the mark of Caine.
