For anyone in the corporate world, a producer is a project manager/product manager. They COULD be hands-on in some elements, but they don't need to be since others can be.
When you engineer you naturally start to produce, combine that with actually making and understand beats and something special can happen, whether that be for yourself as an artist or another artist, the possibilities are endless when you teach yourself the skills.

I got bored being a beat maker and it’s turning me into a producer. I only make music now after I get inspired by a clean acapella (isolated vocal) i can build around. It’s been helping me. I suggest giving it a try. Unless you want to be a beatmaker forever which is cool 2🫡
