I gotta say, I feel like Banditry is a bit of a trap option, early on at least. Before you have your defenses set, it's really easy to leak a few mobs, and that punishes you with Banditry up.
ha i was going to suggest a frost tower near your tower as a zany but effective options from preventing guys from barely getting through and you did it! Cool.
I think you're pretty wrong about mana siphons becoming useless. They're still cheap mana regenerators throughout the whole game. It's a supply/demand issue in terms of finding cubes at some point, but I"m pretty sure they're always useful/economical. Of course I could be missing something big/important which makes them inferior to other options, but i dont see it.
I think the most limiting factor is that you use one upgrade to get them, and there's only a few you can put on the map, which is like using a mana upgrade to only get say +20 mana, while manabanks and a couple other upgrades end up giving much more, depending how you look at it. Economically they are sound, but they don't hold up their "card slot".
A Civ 6 streamer named Potato is taking a break with this game and I downloaded it 3 days ago. Already won single and double lane with ballistas and frost towers/encampments+tesla towers respectably. Great little game
I was surprised that Mana Banks earned mana/s. It would make more sense if the siphons were mana/s and the banks just effected max mana. It would give each of them their own distinct function. And then you wouldn't see people stacking banks like they were in the Cayman islands.
Mana siphons should just have better regen and be useable as freely as banks. Maybe just a base regen of 0.5, multiplied by a factor when used next to a mana source. If banks only increase max mana, and you consistently use more mana than you regen, you'll never even stack up the mana to begin with.
Mana banks make sense to restore mana. It seems like it’s based on your max mana anyway, and it scales really well with the sorcery card. Mana siphons are much better for a flat mana per second rate.
Have watched so many of your videos on this game I am burnt out on the soundtrack
radar+ saw are some of the best early game
and if you place a mana bank next to a house it counts so gives you money as well

When I say useless, I mean there's a hard cap to how many you can put down per game, which is rough.

When you say you want to control what tiles go down all I can think about is Carcassonne mixed with tower defense.
really enjoy this keep them up!

Damn those frost towers really didn't do shit, seems like Ballistas are the better slowing tower with Frost bolts
