- As per reports, as many as 500,000 workers across Britain will go on strike in the biggest day of protest action in more than a decade. Teachers, train drivers, civil servants, university lecturers, bus drivers and security guards from seven trade unions will awalk out.

Their problem about not being given additional pay was already an issue before the current PM has taken office. So why didn't they complain before?
Besides, if the pay hike does get approved. Everything else needed to be adjusted. Like the support for health care programs, the budget of the army, tax increases, and other government-funded and subsidized programs. In simple terms, the free items that you get for years now have a price tag. Sacrifices had been made.
I'm not saying they don't deserve it or not possible to happen. It's just that after the current protesters get what they want, another different set will march on the street.
Let's not even mention the still ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine which is partially the reason for the inflation.
Then there's the tension between the US and China. If they go to war, the UK has no choice but to be involved because the US is an ally and if the plans of China for global dominance through chip making are real. The UK will be forced to help assuming they still have the capacity to help after a budget loss from their military.
The money for pay hikes will have to come from somewhere.
Unless the UK wanted to conquer other nations again for their resources.
The point is, there is a lot to think about in making such a decision. If he hasn't approved of it yet then compromises are still up for debate.
That Brixit is slowly showing signs. Economy will fail because there is no trade relations with huge EU Economy market. They will protest but I believe there are no other options. Longterm funding Ukrain will pay back very late. There is no gurantee Ukrain will pay back. People asking for raise will only endup to raise on essentials. UK will fail most likely. I really hope I am wrong and they somehow survive.
