Hands down the best Spoils guide for solo players, I was getting confused with what chests give spoils and this cleared it all out for me, I’ll be using that bot every week 100%!
@@aimbot6264no you don’t. At least not mine. I usually turn on a livestream when it is active which also helps with estimating when you ideally want to attempt joining. The livestream is on twitch.tv/dutch_viking_91 , a RUclips playlist covering how to get each chest is available on my YT channel as well, but it’s also covered very well in this video. The joincode for the bot to get the cp from (which you must enter in the text chat in destiny 2, make sure it is enabled in social settings and when in orbit it should show you in the bottom right area which button to press to open a text chat prompt, if on console it’s possible you may have to press a secondary button to open the onscreen keyboard, but I recommend just buying or perhaps someone you know has 1 lying around a cheap usb keyboard to plug in the same port as your controller) is /join SpoilsXpress#1885. When you send this as you would any text message, as long as the recipient has their fireteam privacy set to public (which the macro automatically does as soon as the bot is eligible for joining) you will start to see a joining fireteam prompt (or an error code if your timing was off and the fireteam closed by the macro, simply try again a minute later) Once joined, depending on your timing you will receive some automated messages from the bot , basically a countdown until the next session will be launched. When the bot launches VoG it will give some additional info on how to make sure you get the cp.
Im subbing holy crap this is a great tutorial, I'm solo and haven't really raided since D1 (Except a few vault of glass completions for nostalgia) looking forward to more of these kind of vids if you decide to make more!
I do like how the video encourages people to LFG at the end Get people used to it and they'll just become more comfortable LFGing for spoils farms that they will end up doin whole raids and become a propper raider and might even find some raider friends from it From solo to team player in a few simple steps
This was a really good guide! But may I recommend another spoils chest in root of nightmares? If u spawn at nezerac u can backtrack to the planets encounter, then right at planets door turn around and go under the roots to the right of the door back to nezzy, then u can get out of the map, follow the giant root, get off to the left and when the sky starts to turn pink you walk into a doorway quickly and then out and it loads the area with the secret chest in the door where u shoot the nut
So glad i came across this, this vid alone has doubled the amount of Spoils i was getting. I was getting 45 Spoils from doing VOW, RON and the 1 chest on VOG going under the map. I hear you can also set up a free to play account on console for example, just to bring in to the Crota Raid with you to take the Chalice. Just in case you don't always have a 2nd person to help you. Might be doing this myself soon to get 105 each week lol. I made sure to do these new ones last night with it being weekly reset today, such good timing. Got my sub cheers.
I was only doing Vow at first, so my grind was super slow, now it's literally five times that and also we could include the first chest in Deep Stone Crypt, which used to also have spoils but they were removed but you can still get red border weapons and armor from it. 75 spoils every week is no small amount by any means, because in three weeks you can almost get something like Tarrabah or Acrius from the Tower.
Very useful video sense I haven't done most of these in years. I usually farm a raid when it first comes out and never touch it again but this gives a me a good reason to revisit them from time to time.
I tried. The bots don't work. When I type the message and send it, I get the error code that the join command doesn't exist or the message disappears immediately after sending. Solo isn't that easy for me. The minotaurs constantly run through the plates as they chase me. Thanks for the guide, I would have liked to try it but I gave up.

I can also add the 1 chest from Last wish raid, load up churo-chi , turn around and under the third bridge pillar is a chest :-) or load up morgeth and with titan/warlock, traverse the gap and grab the chest on the right.
Fun fact you can grab them from patrol, although the one before morgeth I wouldn’t recommend unless you like that kind of challenge like I do. I’ve gotten all the way up to where you get teleported during the heart run from patrol. Since dreaming city is free to play on patrol you could technically get all last wish loot except 1kv without even owning forsaken.
For the first chest of the raid, when you backtrack to the entrance, it only works if you cleared the first encounter. Otherwise there will be an invisible wall blocking you.
Tried all morning to use this bot. Keep getting a reply that said (unable to join your target player. Try again later.) Tried twenty five times over and hour of play time wasted.) Is the server down or no longer available?
Great VOG guide in particular! I'm sure plenty others have commented but I'm lazy. I usually get the Shiro Chi checkpoint anyways due to using it for weapon kill farming/kill bounties, so might as well get that chest and Morgoth too for free.
You should try golgoroths cellar for weapon kills farms it’s so much faster the enemies won’t even come at you or do annoying teleports. Just be on deadfall tether + Orpheus rigs and all the tethered enemies sharing damage from your weapon will count towards your total and instantly respawn, so your uptime on tether is near 100% too. If you want the cp a friend of mine has been hosting 1 ever since cpbot#6289 went ima. His bungieID is Golg Maze CP#9613 Edit: did forget to mention it’s 1 specific pack of enemies, the same one used for afk xp farms: ruclips.net/video/Jtw8_WofaA0/видео.htmlsi=pYsRkpn6eOQedJ1r Seriously try it and never look back
it does not seem to work for me - I watched a headless minotaur very specifically and intentionally stop chasing me, capture the first sync plate, and then start running at me again.
What exactly can you do with spoils? Don't you only get the weapons that you already got in the raid? So if you never done the raid you don't get any weapon or armor?
Can also use mountaintop for a lot of mobility. There's also 2 chests in Last Wish you could get from the Ogre CP and back tracking. Not too complicated. Also I'm not sure I'm just unlucky, but doesn't seem like any of those 3 bots works for the Templar CP
Shows how much I pay attention. :-) I tend to grab it simply because it’s there, and hope for a few red bars, but I didn’t even notice it not giving spoils.
@@colinrock8816 No spoils but the LW chests are unique in that they will drop any piece of LW loot (with the exception of 1K Voices) even if it hasn't been previously picked up. So very useful for new players to check out as they can actually get raid gear without ever having run an encounter.
@@colinrock8816 it drops apex predator though, which is nice if you didn't use your wish tokens to get one....then if you get spoils you can farm red borders for it from Hawthorne at the tower

I don’t think the VoG trick works anymore. I can do the jumping part just fine but after backtracking to that first chest there is now an invisible wall blocking it. Seems like Bungie are onto it eeek

But haha shatter/wellskate go yeeeet and since physics can’t 1 tap anymore why waste time :D worst case scenario you’re low health for some seconds. Grapple flying with navigator makes me feel like green Spider-Man. Why be a masochist and handicap yourself + waste time you could spent doing more engaging content
Other solo spoils I recommend are the Shuro chi ones (it's pretty easy), and the Morgeth ones if you know how to shatter/well skate or sword fly (for titan). Also the 1st secret chest from Garden is easy to get and the second one not that easy but completely doable solo with grapple or stasis crystals :)
Those are nice too but the issue with them is that they do not drop any Spoils, that's why I didn't include those chests in this video, you can still do them for raid loo though
May be a dumb question but what auto rifle was that you were using when clearing the plates outside of VOG... the black looking one with the hive looking symbol in the scope?? I don't recognize it and really wanna know what it is!!
@@login2730 the only auto rifle from crota is Abyss defiant but it's solar, so I'm guessing that in the video he's using the void Ros Arago IV (but it's strange that it has a hive scope...) 🙂
I didn’t have a checkpoint nor people willing to go get it yet, and since maintenance reset all checkpoints as it finished after reset and people were spamming for shuro chi CPs (which I just wishwall once and then back and forth it between my PS / PC) I’d figured that’s the best I could offer and still be of some help at that time. Luckily it did not take long before I convinced 4 others to play up to Templar with me so I could set up the service.
Man i have tried the vog solo encounter fpr awhile now and the damn minotaurs always step on the plate whiel chasing me. No matter how i do it they always run across the first 2 plates. And then ads come in and its a blood bath and those damn minotaurs end up dying everytime from aoe because every gun i got has aor lol. Cheers and maybe ill try the bots idk.
@@aaronsmith4273 never got around to it. May try today, been super busy. But he describes it in the video: After taking one plate, shoot the minos in the head. They'll follow you instead of taking back the plate, and each minotaur will only take back his own plate, so for each plate you just keep kiting the minos while killing the one for your current plate. Once all plates are taken, just kite all three minos until the door opens
@@aaronsmith4273 So, just did it. Took me a while to get it down, and will probably take a few tries to master it. "Cheese" probably isn't the right word, as I guess it's just how you run it solo, but the minos only taking their own plate is good info. Also, can't outrun them and get too far, or they'll go back to their plate anyway.

You are welcome! If the corresponding minotaur walks over the plate then yeah you gotta kill him and recapture the plate. But if it's a minotaur from a different plate then they can walk over it as much as they want and it wont get disrupted.

None of the checkpoints are working for me. MGs are unavailable and Xpress has privacy settings set to invite only. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I love destiny but I hate how the raids have to be so damn long and complicated. I will try to do some this coming weekend hopefully I can get good loot.

Yes they work for every platform, you just copy paste the join code or type it in manually. Sometimes one or two might be offline but there is always at least one Online
I learned that the best way to play Destiny 2 after coming back to the game after a few years away from it is to turn it off and play Warframe instead.
@@Treymanblok I quit playing five or so years ago after grinding to get Solstice armor for all three of my characters. I got the armor and boom -- they changed the game and suddenly the armor was useless. I quit, then just a couple months ago decided to start playing again. Bought the game and all the DLCs for PC because I decided I wanted to be more serious about PVP, and deja vu, I'm right back in another annoying repetitive Solstice again 🤦♀️ But now I'm basically a controller-to-keyboard-noob and everyone I play with is so leveled up, I get left behind. I'll probably still play a bit, but I'll stick with solo stuff and exotic quests on my own time frame. (but Warframe is pretty darn fun too, not gonna lie)
Yeah I have noticed that too, they close their privacy settings when transporting the people to the raid to make sure people don't join and mess up something, later once they land in HELM they open the settings back up so people can join.
If you are looking to get as many spoils as possible without doing any actual raid encounters you can also technically get the 2nd chest in VoTD if you have a boss checkpoint but those are much more difficult to get than the VoG checkpoint and RoN checkpoints, also if you have the chasm encounter checkpoint you can get RoNs first chest with the tormentor I'm fairly certain but can't say for sure because I have never been able to find anyone that has that checkpoint 😂

Does that chest with the Tormentor spawn if you backtrack from the second encounter? Because it's fairly close. I know Nezarec checkpoint allows you to go back but I haven't retreated that far towards the back and because it's so glitchy maybe the Tormentor doesn't appear from Nezarec's CP. I'll give it a try and see
@@juanjodprunfortunately it does not, you can backtrack there but the tormentor won’t be there and the lifty boys won’t work either just like when you backtrack 2nd chest. At first it would spawn him in an immune state T-posing you could damage him a little but not kill. One time I found myself bored enough to push him off the map with ignitions hipfiring skyburners oath near him, and although it was worth the laugh/clip it didn’t spawn any chest :< ruclips.net/video/_icCUR39hoE/видео.htmlsi=TDxTdxTX3bDJg_Bs

I tried the last wish one under the bridge but didn’t get any spoils. Question is are spoils rng or do you have to have completed the raid in order to get spoils?? Any help or advice appreciated.
@@Beast-mf7brif shitty armor is 60+ stat gear with the ability to slot last wish exclusive mods in, 1 of which is extremely helpful when farming heavy weapon kills but you don’t want to burn through a billion raid banner try this: Put on 1 piece of last wish armor with at least +3 energy so it can slot Taken armaments (exclusively drops from the 2 secret chests, rng based), this normally would give you free heavy the same amount as a regular brick on grenade killing blows, BUT there’s a hidden bonus if you happen to own forerunner + catalyst OR run gunslinger hunter with gunpowder gamble (your only option to do this cheese for exotic heavies excluding you from also using forerunner). When you get a kill with forerunner and use the alt fire to get “the rock” frag grenade, or get enough solar weapon/ability kills to activate gunpowder gamble, as long as you don’t use these grenade-replacing options ALL your heavy weapon kills will start to generate heavy ammo the same way normally only your grenade would, meaning you can use your heavy as primary as long as you can keep yourself from tossing the frag grenade / gunpowder gamble.

Yeah 75 and even 90 if you can find a duo for Crotas end first encounter then it's a very good amount of spoils for very little work!

Unable to join bots for vault of glass
Skip the Vault of Glass one. The jumping is too finicky and method 2 the minotaurs will automatically run back to the plates, headless and all.😅

Just use the CP bots that I provided, it doesn't get any easier than that.
Yeah the headless minotaur trick doesn't work for me at all. Every time they just run back to their plate, even without their head.

Have you tried SpoilsXpress one?....sometimes it says fireteam closed but that's because when they launch the raid. That bot worked for me.
Head to the Helm and try it. Worked for me when I did that

I did Vow one time, then farmed the nade launcher on three characters for the red border, ez.
You could also do this in DSC solo, by completing the initial sparrow maze area and getting the hidden chest at the end of it.
Doesn't drop spoils.

I don’t think the VoG trick works anymore. I can do the jumping part just fine but after backtracking to that first chest there is now an invisible wall blocking it. Seems like Bungie are onto it eeek

Yes, you can grab each raid chest and dungeon chest on each character once per week
Free spoils without completing any raid encounters but Vog method 2 is a raid encounter. ✌
The first hidden chest in DSC is pretty easy solo too if you know the route.

Bring leviathans breath for the VOW chest, you load in switch plenty of ammo to make easy work of the savathun projection
Forerunner better
You can make the tall jump after Gorgons without sword, grapple, or blinking platforms. Any class, no mobility requirement.
But haha shatter/wellskate go yeeeet and since physics can’t 1 tap anymore why waste time :D worst case scenario you’re low health for some seconds. Grapple flying with navigator makes me feel like green Spider-Man. Why be a masochist and handicap yourself + waste time you could spent doing more engaging content

@@Treymanblok thats awesome, i play solo alot and i do the vog chest weekly on every character so i just added 3 more chests to all of my runs :)
Other solo spoils I recommend are the Shuro chi ones (it's pretty easy), and the Morgeth ones if you know how to shatter/well skate or sword fly (for titan).
Also the 1st secret chest from Garden is easy to get and the second one not that easy but completely doable solo with grapple or stasis crystals :)
Those are nice too but the issue with them is that they do not drop any Spoils, that's why I didn't include those chests in this video, you can still do them for raid loo though

Honestly I do this myself since it's literally 90 spoils in an hour which no farm or raid comes even close to this efficiency

@@login2730 the only auto rifle from crota is Abyss defiant but it's solar, so I'm guessing that in the video he's using the void Ros Arago IV (but it's strange that it has a hive scope...) 🙂

Yo I tried joining spoilsexpress and it put me into shuro chi, I’m guessing it switches every few weeks do you got another bot for vog?
I didn’t have a checkpoint nor people willing to go get it yet, and since maintenance reset all checkpoints as it finished after reset and people were spamming for shuro chi CPs (which I just wishwall once and then back and forth it between my PS / PC) I’d figured that’s the best I could offer and still be of some help at that time.
Luckily it did not take long before I convinced 4 others to play up to Templar with me so I could set up the service.
Man i have tried the vog solo encounter fpr awhile now and the damn minotaurs always step on the plate whiel chasing me. No matter how i do it they always run across the first 2 plates. And then ads come in and its a blood bath and those damn minotaurs end up dying everytime from aoe because every gun i got has aor lol. Cheers and maybe ill try the bots idk.
My advice is always try to make sure the minotaurs are close, don't run too far away from them. You can also run a devour build or even restoration x2

Fantastic video. Do you get VoG loot from the bonus chests or do you have to have completed an encounter before? If so, does the minotaur one count?
If you want loot from hidden chests you need to have unlocked it first in the encounters, otherwise you'll only get spoils.

you forgot last wish, there's two additional chests there that are fairly easy to get
They don't drop spoils, this guide shows all available chests that drop Spoils in the game

After taking one plate, shoot the minos in the head. They'll follow you instead of taking back the plate, and each minotaur will only take back his own plate, so for each plate you just keep kiting the minos while killing the one for your current plate.
Once all plates are taken, just kite all three minos until the door opens
@@aaronsmith4273 So, just did it. Took me a while to get it down, and will probably take a few tries to master it. "Cheese" probably isn't the right word, as I guess it's just how you run it solo, but the minos only taking their own plate is good info. Also, can't outrun them and get too far, or they'll go back to their plate anyway.

You are welcome! If the corresponding minotaur walks over the plate then yeah you gotta kill him and recapture the plate. But if it's a minotaur from a different plate then they can walk over it as much as they want and it wont get disrupted.

You are correct, the chest will still give you Spoils but it will NOT give you any actual raid loot.
I love destiny but I hate how the raids have to be so damn long and complicated. I will try to do some this coming weekend hopefully I can get good loot.

You can join at each chest but the second chest you will not spawn next to it, you'll have to do a slight walk

Yes they work for every platform, you just copy paste the join code or type it in manually. Sometimes one or two might be offline but there is always at least one Online

No it's still works just gotta aim very carefully and try to hit multiple shots in a row, you can also use a shotgun if you get close

@@Treymanblok I quit playing five or so years ago after grinding to get Solstice armor for all three of my characters. I got the armor and boom -- they changed the game and suddenly the armor was useless. I quit, then just a couple months ago decided to start playing again. Bought the game and all the DLCs for PC because I decided I wanted to be more serious about PVP, and deja vu, I'm right back in another annoying repetitive Solstice again 🤦♀️ But now I'm basically a controller-to-keyboard-noob and everyone I play with is so leveled up, I get left behind. I'll probably still play a bit, but I'll stick with solo stuff and exotic quests on my own time frame. (but Warframe is pretty darn fun too, not gonna lie)

Why do none of the bots work sometimes? Sometime the spoilsxpress bot says their privacy is closed and I can’t join?
Yeah I have noticed that too, they close their privacy settings when transporting the people to the raid to make sure people don't join and mess up something, later once they land in HELM they open the settings back up so people can join.
If you are looking to get as many spoils as possible without doing any actual raid encounters you can also technically get the 2nd chest in VoTD if you have a boss checkpoint but those are much more difficult to get than the VoG checkpoint and RoN checkpoints, also if you have the chasm encounter checkpoint you can get RoNs first chest with the tormentor I'm fairly certain but can't say for sure because I have never been able to find anyone that has that checkpoint 😂

Does that chest with the Tormentor spawn if you backtrack from the second encounter? Because it's fairly close. I know Nezarec checkpoint allows you to go back but I haven't retreated that far towards the back and because it's so glitchy maybe the Tormentor doesn't appear from Nezarec's CP. I'll give it a try and see
@@juanjodprunfortunately it does not, you can backtrack there but the tormentor won’t be there and the lifty boys won’t work either just like when you backtrack 2nd chest. At first it would spawn him in an immune state T-posing you could damage him a little but not kill. One time I found myself bored enough to push him off the map with ignitions hipfiring skyburners oath near him, and although it was worth the laugh/clip it didn’t spawn any chest :<

@@Beast-mf7brif shitty armor is 60+ stat gear with the ability to slot last wish exclusive mods in, 1 of which is extremely helpful when farming heavy weapon kills but you don’t want to burn through a billion raid banner try this:
Put on 1 piece of last wish armor with at least +3 energy so it can slot Taken armaments (exclusively drops from the 2 secret chests, rng based), this normally would give you free heavy the same amount as a regular brick on grenade killing blows, BUT there’s a hidden bonus if you happen to own forerunner + catalyst OR run gunslinger hunter with gunpowder gamble (your only option to do this cheese for exotic heavies excluding you from also using forerunner).
When you get a kill with forerunner and use the alt fire to get “the rock” frag grenade, or get enough solar weapon/ability kills to activate gunpowder gamble, as long as you don’t use these grenade-replacing options ALL your heavy weapon kills will start to generate heavy ammo the same way normally only your grenade would, meaning you can use your heavy as primary as long as you can keep yourself from tossing the frag grenade / gunpowder gamble.
