If you can please do a review of Modius Sleep! It’s been all the rage since a year or so now.

Also, I really loved how you analysed effects of Qualia on brainwaves. Could you do that for binaural beats and Isochronic tones? People would REALLY love to see that. You’ll see ton of videos on RUclips for those two raking millions of views and claiming the world.

Additionally, maybe the same kind of EEG analysis with the Neorhythm device. That device works on magnetic induction of brainwave states. I wonder if this expensive device works any better than isochronic tones or binaural beats.

ahh i just checked the Modius website and they're totally sold out!!!! i love your thoughts on binaural beats - have you heard of the NuCalm system? Thinking about reviewing that soon. As far as the Neorhythm device goes, my good friend Shervin said the device was really not worth it and he did a full review: ruclips.net/video/-DWht5Aaq6E/видео.html. Happy to still look into reviewing it, but let me know what you think after watching his vid!

But did you get a better night sleep with it? My daughter has TBI and feels she doesn’t get the deep sleep she needs. Did the waves actually help you with this?

Not to a clearly identifiable degree. The device claimed some improvements but I can’t say the effects were noticeable in my day to day.

Wow! Congrats on getting through 30 days wearing that. I can't imagine making it through a night without waking up in a rage because it was bothering me and whipping a $400 thing against a wall. Why do all these companies want to use the sticky adhesives? I could suck up the $400 for the device but the $30 per month would give me pause. Mostly because the info isn't that much better than competing products without that cost. Thanks again for the great videos!

    • @katie_moore
      @katie_moore  4 года назад +2

TOTALLY agree on the sticky adhesives! there needs to be a better way!! also i'm so happy i could save you the $$ on testing this device (and doubly glad this thing came with a good return policy). After a few more sleep trackers, I'm planning to do a full sleep lab to see how they all compare on accuracy! thanks for always watching and leaving a comment, Blair!! it makes my day

Interesting, and we get ya. Our device is contact free - and is the world's first sleep tracker which monitors MOVEMENT (no wearable, that you have to recharge over and over again, needed)! This is vital in tracking sleep phase, we're seeing and able to track neck micromovements too which could help track sleep apnea, and are looking to see what works best to improve it. We're starting the machine learning process already, which will adapt to a users' sleep, and seeing good results!
And it's contact free - because it lies underneath you!
Check it out on our channel - we're launching on Kickstarter soon!! ruclips.net/video/5O3hB1NcT74/видео.html

(you mentioned:) Reviews of a couple of sleep trackers 'in the works'?
If you tried Dreem2 [EEG headset], then is a review of it 'in the works'? (And I saw your - team presentation - review of Muse, 2.)
Your very 'honest', 'say almost any annoyance' parts of your video, are great for product reviews, in my opinion.
Glad to hear that you feel that your Oura Ring is informing you. But 'flawless' EEG based sleep stage categorizers, and easy to use EEG headsets, have potential applications.
-- Reportedly, an athlete can gauge which types of workouts 'overstress' them [overdoing a workout can degrade Deep Sleep totals].
-- A student or other person who gets IRREGULAR qualities or amounts of sleep can try to arrange tasks using sleep data [to try to schedule 'critical or hardest studies or work' on days when you are near your best].
-- Maybe, a cross-country trucker, or even a CEO of a Public Corporation, could keep 'minute by minute' sleep stage records, to be able to show someone "I am working for my employer using healthy sleep practices." (Maybe even get a truck insurance discount?)
Also, I don't know if you Golf, or do Archery [most people don't], or bowling, or Basketball, or other 'episodic-skill' based sports, but if you do, then maybe do a show about OptiTrain? [a performance optimization product which uses the Muse EEG Headset, and which is based on a few decades of research]

i tried the Dreem 1 about a year and a half ago and found it too hard to sleep with a large headband on so I'm not planning to do the Dreem 2. i did a couple other videos on sleep trackers, including the Garmin and Pillow App. but my good friend Shervin did and has an amazing review on it: ruclips.net/video/o2NkRbqVvEI/видео.html
I don't do golf or archery, but I play tennis and have been experimenting with the Halo Sport 2 for that. Review coming soon! I'll have to look into OptiTrain. Thank you so much for all these comments and information!

Hi Randy!! I'll be totally honest...sleep headbands don't seem to really work all that well for me, but I heard rumors that there's a new Smart Sleep 2 coming out soon and I thought about making a Dreem 2 v. Smart Sleep 2 video around that time! In the meantime, you should definitely check out my good friend Shervin's review on the Dreem...he gets into the weeds on this one for sure! hope this helps :)

@@katie_moore Thanks! Shervin's review was very helpful but the more the better. What I think is game changing about proper EEG technology is that right now the standard of care in sleep medicine is lacking. Getting a sleep study prescribed is hard enough, and then the study itself is limited in so many ways. The possibility that someone could have their own study at home every night (even a low grade one) is quite powerful. In particular, the continuous oxygen level touted by the Dreem 2 would be life-changing for anyone looking to reduce sleep apnea.
Keep up the great work! Your Apollo review helped me make that purchase and it's been well worth it.

The SmartSleep isn't a dedicated sleep tracker like the Oura. The SmartSleep does things the Oura doesn't. Seems a questionable comparison.

true, but most people aren't going to buy two sleep trackers, and I like to compare and contrast what I can.
