So happy about your daughter! I also wish I could give you a hug bc I understand how exhausting, scary and painful a hiatal hernia can be, wish I could take away your pain. Sending you healing vibes

Hi. I was wondering how you have been doing since surgery. I have had HORRIFIC stabbing pains in my lower center chest with mine and may need an operation but I am scared because it seems everyone has theirs fail. :(
Also is it hard not being able to throw up/burp?
Sorry for all the questions I am in panic mode...

Gayle, be careful with your doctor! You need to see a specialist in Hiatal Hernia’s with a 100% success rate. I know the surgery is expensive, but there is a lot of research that shows HH can cause and aggravate heart issues, among other things. Also, check out Advanced Chiropractic Care in Houston, Texas with Dr. Johnson. He does RUclips videos that discuss HH and the body. Look up videos on how to pull down the stomach. You can ask your husband or friend to help you. I am so sorry to hear that it’s back, but it can be repaired! Don’t lose hope. You are too sweet and this is not your fault, so pursue it until you have a real expert who fixes it right.

Also, your daughter sings beautifully!!! Think about finding someone to push your stomach down. It will help with the swallowing issues. Also, research how HH aggravate the vagus nerve. It explains a lot about headaches, heart issues, anxiety, and even digestion issues. The celiac nerve is right there- as in if it gets cut off or aggravated it’ll act up.

@@simplifyhandles I know this is an old video to respond to comments but… I have been going to a chiropractor for 9 months now for my hiatal hernia and other health issues. So far it’s been zero help.

I’ve watched all your videos re your hiatal hernia surgery & on, and I’m so glad I did! I have an auto-immune disease called Graves’ disease that caused Tachycardia. You are so right on about how scary it is!! And honestly, even on the meds to slow it down, it didn’t work enough & left me feeling like crapola! I ended up having a thyroidectomy and had an immediate reduction of my heart rate from an average of 120 (with meds) to 70!! I still have odd chest pains though, but that has turned out to be a hiatal hernia, which led me to your videos regarding your experience. I have terrible GERD.
Thank you for those, really helpful!
I also have severe Endometriosis & have had a total hysterectomy. Warnings though, in my experience, hysterectomy is not a cure. I had my worst flare up ever 3 yrs post up, almost lost a kidney. Doc had put me on hormone replacement, but estrogen feeds Endometriosis so mine kept spreading. It gets worse, since going off hormone replacement 6 yrs ago, my estrogen levels dropped drastically and now at age 45, I have severe Osteoporosis. 🤦🏼‍♀️
Ugg, these dang bodies of ours!🌷

Oh Gayle, I am so sorry you had to go through all of this and are still having issues. I know this video is old but Is there any way you could go to different doctors? It sounds like you are an ATM for them. You deserve to find the best doctors that do excellent work. Hiatal surgery that didn’t fix your issues 100%.? Heart surgery. 3 endometriosis surgeries and they nicked your bladder? Girl you need to run from all of those doctors even if it means going to another area. My goodness that is horrible. Praying for you! 🙏🏻
Yay! for your daughter who is probably 11 or 12 now.

I was wondering how you were doing I’m subscribed to your channel and would like to see more of your videos. Sometimes the hiatal hernia can return and they have to re do it and put it back in place.

Thanks Patricia for your support! I have actually thought of getting it repaired, but I don’t want another surgery. With that being said when I got my scan it was only 30 days after my surgery that they were showing that I still had a hernia 😳😳😳😳🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Gayle Robinson if it’s not causing you issues then yea I’d leave it alone. I myself am dealing with gerd and want to be off omeperazole I was diagnosed last year I am considering surgery as well .and I also have a heart murmur I was born with that never closed I’m 35 now and had to wear a heart monitor for 30 days on the 29th I find out if they are surgically closing it I’m scared as I have 4 kids.

Gayle Robinson Good Day! You are wonderful and I feel a kindred spirit. I’m having hiatal hernia surgery (unsure which method) this Thursday. Your videos were informative and inspiring. Thank you for posting them. I don’t normally reply to videos or like them; however, yours was extremely beneficial and frankly, you just felt like my sister! Stay encouraged and don’t let the spirits of depression and/or infirmity overtake you. I appreciate your prayers! Look forward to hearing your update! All the best to you & yours.

Is it because of your weight that hernia came back?

OH man in Oct 2020 I had a 25 cm ovarian fibroid. That obstruction causes me to lose one kidney & have this hiatal hernia because it was on my stomach. I feel bad for you. This all could have been avoided back n jan on my bday cause my kidney levels were off. I dont want to have any more surgery to fix this,, Good luck

@@GayleRobinson have to see a nephrologist on Monday so I don't lose the other kidney. I feel actually pretty good except for the constant burning in my throat. I try to mask it with gum sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.I'm glad that the fibroid is out and I lost 15 pounds most of it was the fibroid. I looked like I was pregnant.I'm glad nothing is cancerous so I'm thankful for that. I never had any health issues until last year 2020 was the worst. I see that it seems like you are doing better.I just happened to Stumble Upon your videos today
