It looks like Danny has accepted from the beginning that Aziraphale & Crowley are a couple in love, so maybe he’s not surprised whenever they do something to validate that. I am very curious to see how he will react to the end of Ep. 6. I will be disappointed if he’s not very much moved…
What I love about Crowley's aggressive flirting so much is that it never sounds... romantic. When he talks to Aziraphale, anything sounds like a confession of love. But the raunchiest lines said to anyone else are more of a game. A fun battle of wits and eloquence.
The particularly strange bit is that she was able to convey what she meant despite it and it was off to the races, like _whew_ did the spell have side effects?
@@Bookwright very likely, though there is also some history to it being used in the USA in the 19th and 20th century (though not as much as the discworld books do). Aziraphale committing the gravest sin he can think of (giving away his books) just so he could have his Jane Austen ballroom romance with Crowley will always be the cutest thing ever.
honestly I’ll never get over how clever the line “We don’t dance” is in the context of Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship. Crowley didn’t say “I don’t want to dance” or “We’ve never danced before”, he specifically said that they DONT dance, almost like “We’re not allowed to dance… are we?” because they’re not working for a side anymore. Crowley doesnt think that they’re not together because Aziraphale doesn’t like him or any of that, he thinks they can’t be together because they’re not allowed to. And he’s finally realizing that after S1, they can now.
Interesting take. FYI he actually says "YOU don't dance". It sounds a bit muffled and the original captions were wrong when the show came out (they got fixed after a couple weeks). But him saying you don't dance and his entire reaction would still work with your interpretation I think. I always took it as shock, because Crowley didn't know anything about Aziraphale being the only angel who dances. The audience knows that from Season 1, but that was God-narrated. That shock could still play into realizing another way his angel is different from all the others.
Crowley says, "YOU don't dance" because he doesn't know that Aziraphale learned the gavotte at a gentlemen's club while Crowley was sleeping the better part of a century away after their fight about the holy water. As far as he is aware, Aziraphale, like all other angels, doesn't dance.
The Guild of Seamstresses in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series is like a labor union for prostitutes. The lady in this ep runs a whorehouse, but can't say it in Aziraphales's bookshop because it's not something Az thinks should be talked about, so all she can say is that they're seamstresses.
Also they would never say it out loud in polite company. Seamstress is a slur in old times for many naughty women. Mostly the term would be used for unmarried women because an unmarried woman of a certain age might as well be useful in some way 🙄 an unmarried seamstress was just as scandalous as a night worker in those times so the words became synonymous in literature and in polite company.
It's fun cuz it's a Discworld reference AND a historical reference. Fun fact, in the 1800s the census claimed there were over 2700 "seamstresses" in Seattle. And 99% of them lived in the same area. so the council sent investigators and....none of them had sewing machines 😉
To be fair to Crowley, as you saw previously, when he prevented that girl from committing suicide and Aziraphale called him nice, he was immediately dragged back to hell to get tortured (and the next time he saw Aziraphale was when he asked for the holy water.
That makes me sad. It makes sense why he gets so defensive about being called “nice”, because that’s how Hell reacts to his niceness. And after getting tortured, he became desperate to be able to defend himself, so he asked for the holy water.

Hi Danny! Just wanted to give you a heads up about episode 6 with no spoilers. Just watch it until the very end when someone is still on screen don’t end the reaction/watching too soon lol (even as the credits are rolling)! I have seen many reactions where people miss something kind of important so I don’t want you to miss that! I really hope you see this!! Thanks for the amazing reactions 😊
Best part of this had to be watching Danny confidently going in with "if I know anything about women", knowing just how off the mark he was about who the spouse is 😌
Just a pacifist angel? I mean, yes, Aziraphale does everything he can to avoid fighting/harming others, but he is technically a warrior. He was the Guardian of the East Gate. He had a flaming sword which, once given away, became the Sword of War. He commands other soldiers, as we saw last season when he got in trouble for being late and making his squadron wait (Gaiman confirmed he was their leader). Aziraphale fought in the war where the soon-to-be-fallen angels were cast out of Heaven. Aziraphale is powerful, and he could be very, very dangerous. But he has an incredibly gentle, compassionate heart. That’s his real strength- resisting apathy, pride and cruelty. It’s what makes him stand out from the other angels who want to go to war again. It would be deeply satisfying for Good Omens to let us see how scary Aziraphale can be, but perhaps it would go against his story arc to do so. In any case, Crowley knows that Aziraphale is by no means a push-over, which is why he trusts him to hold the fort.
One of the things I noticed that NO ONE ever comments on is how Aziraphale holds that candelabra like it’s his flaming sword. He is definitely in a combat-ready stance.
He straight up breaks the Heaven/Hell Geneva Convention in ep 6 with the Halo Thing. Sure he doesn’t _like_ fighting/violence but he’s no holds barred when he has to.
So the "seamstress" actually has a sign in her establishment that says "don't pay the man with dark glasses. He doesn't work here" Also, you keep calling Maggie Nina I think. Maggie runs the record shop, Nina run give me coffee or give me death. And as everyone else is saying. Good luck with episode six...
hey so for no reason at all I just need you to remember that last season ended with them eating lunch at the ritz while the voice over said “That day a nightingale really did sing in Berkley square” while the 40s love song “Nightingale in Berkley Square” played in the soundtrack. Theres no reason, its just important to me that you remember this moment before watching episode 6. Thanks.
@@nadiasnyman4970 "A Nightingale Sang" was 1941. I think after the "shades of grey" conversation they danced together to it and it became "their song" THAT'S why Crowley said, "No Nightingales" in the final 15, he was referencing the Nightingale as code for their love for each other.
4:46 I read somewhere that they kept so much distance because they were filming during covid. That's also the reason a lot of the demons wear some kind of mask later on during the siege
Also a reason for a smaller cast. Everyone on the crew had to be in masks the entire time, Aziraphale doesn't eat anything on screen (obv very OOC for him), the whole production was in their own bubble.
Lol, I don't blame you for not getting the seamstress joke. This is a nod to Terry Pratchett's Discworld. The "Seamstress guild" was actually the prostitute's guild. The woman describing her job, was a madam. But, Aziraphale is too proper to have words like prostitute pass anyone's lips at his party, so seamstress it is.
Danny, please do episode 6 on live stream. We are only thinking of you, dude! Also, my favorite moment is Azi giving up the game that he lets Crowley save him to make him happy. If you think back to the French Revolution scene suddenly that excuse of not being able to do frivolous miracles makes sense. He puts himself in danger as a massive celestial flirting scheme because he knows Crowley has a hardcore protective streak.
Not only is Tennant in Doctor Who, but he is also married to the daughter of the Doctor (his wife is the daughter of one of the actors who previously played the Doctor and she played in one episode the "daughter" of Tenannt's Doctor😅)
It gets better. In the Job episode, Job is played by Peter Davison (David's father in law and the 5th doctor) and Jobs son is played by Ty Tennant, David's kid.
Something to keep in mind about season 2's downsized cast is while season 1 was filmed long before the pandemic, at least some of season 2 was during the pandemic, so that would've made things trickier having a whole lot of people gathered for scenes throughout 6 episodes. On a side note, the coffee shop lady is Nina, who is played by the actress who was the ditzy nun talking about Adam's cute little toesies in season 1. Maggie is the record shop lady, who is the actress played the nun that Haster killed before he set the convent on fire in season 1. The actress playing Nina is actually named Nina, and the actress playing Maggie is actually named Maggie.
10:50 fun fact!! In one scene her “shop” is in the background and you can see a sign that says “DON'T PAY THE GUY IN THE BLUE GLASSES HE DOESN'T WORK HERE!!!" Which references smth else but everyone thought it referenced people thinking Crowley works there😭
@ericamacs3875 Yeah, I planned on watching the entire series from the top again after S2 ended, but that finale... yeah no, I just can't bring myself too. It still makes me angry. Maybe not as much as Game of Thrones, but it's definitely up there.
@@tatianamelendez490 You can see why it wasn't renewed. There's some nice moments in it. I enjoyed the Minnie Driver episode, and enjoyed Con O'Neill singing "La Vie En Rose" that scene was lovely. But as a series it felt all over the place and I found the way the relationship developed a bit irritating as well, 50 odd year old men and it was written like teens. I think the ending of it was a big mistake also, it didn't leave you wanting more. So I wasn't surprised when it was cancelled.
“I can’t believe this show has the balls to reference Doctor Who” Danny. Danny. Adam’s dad’s car in season 1 had TARDIS spelt backwards on the number plate. Newt’s tie references Four’s scarf. One of Crowley’s “run away from everything” options is _Gallifrey._ There’s several in season 2 too but they’re less obvious. Also the directors got Crowley’s reaction to the Bentley blowing up in s1e6 by telling David to imagine it was the TARDIS.
also, it wasn't until my THIRD watchthorugh of the second season when i realized that one extra who gets yanked out of the door by shax is none other than the voice actor of the only and only GALE DEKARIOS OF WATERDEEP!!!! absolutely floored me
When I was a kid we always got the annual of whatever show or pop star etc we loved. I don't think they're such a big deal now. You didn't notice Aziraphale say "smitten". The scene was written to make him say that. I really love this episode, Aziraphale is so anxious asking Crowley to dance. It's a really fun part one of the finale as it were. Agree with you that Aziraphale steals this series. He's adorable and Michael Sheen plays him to perfection.
Love the random things about season one that sticks with him. He remembers that Eric got incinerated because of a joke, but not that he delivered hellfire and asked to punch an angel. He remembers that Aziraphale used to dance, but not that Crowley was the one in Heaven for the execution. It’s so funny to me. - I can’t pick on him, because he’s picked up some details that I completely missed on my first watch through.
@_Jade101 That was my reaction a couple months ago too. Yeah dude, they just gave her a new role. Look up the cast of season 1 and season 2. Same face, same voice.
The random ass extra is Mutt’s (the magic shop guy’s) spouse you suggested he ditch for the party - their name is Drew. Seamstress is a euphemism for sex worker. Mrs. Sandwich runs a walk-up knocking shop right next to the bookstore that Aziraphale does not seem to know about, but Crowley and Mrs. Sandwich seem to be friends and I want a whole season just about their adventures. Crowley completely missed Aziraphale’s gay club dancing era because he was having a 60 year depression nap because Aziraphale called their dates “fraternizing”
To give some convoluted fun DW crossover lore, the episode with Job had David Tennant, his kid Ty Tennant (Job's eldest son) and his father in law the 5th Doctor Peter Davison (Job). Also, Georgia Tennat is Davids wife. She is the Doctors daughter (daughter of the 5th), who played the Doctors daughter (how she and David met when he was the Doctor) in the episode "The Doctors Daughter", and she had the Doctors daughters. And last bonus fact, David has always been a big ally but one of his kids has come out as trans and now hes far more vocal of a supporter, to the point where even "She Who Must Not Be Named" hates him.
Aziraphale IS running this season, Danny, yes! And you've not paid enough attention to his flirtations with Crowley, and, just you wait for the last episode!!!
THIS IS IT! ONE EPISODE LEFT TO GO! So I say it now for the final time before the end- PLEASE watch the last 15 minutes of episode 6 with very minimal cuts and minimal talking. We want to see your *_entire_* reaction to it 🙏🙏 please please please 🙏🙏
About season 2 being smaller. Its cause it was filmed during 2021 so covid restricted a lot of what they could do. Which is also why during the scene where Shax is talking to her army everyone is spread out so far apart cause restrictions said that that number of people needed to be distanced.
*gently cups Danny’s face in my hands* Danny. My sweet summer child. Dear sweet boy. Mrs Sandwiches establishment is a brothel and the seamstresses are sex workers. (This is actually a reference to Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels where a running gag in the books were sex workers were referred to as seamstresses). If you look really hard in some of the episodes on the wall next to the door leading to Mrs Sandwich’s establishment is a sign that says “Don’t pay the tall man with glasses. He doesn’t work here.”
I'm sure other people have already pointed it out, but the writer has said S3 is the real sequel, the one Terry Pratchett and NG outlined together (and which is presumably going to mirror S1), and S2 is the bridge connecting them. I think that's the reason why S2 is mostly character driven and focuses mostly on Crowley and Aziraphale, while S1 was much more plot driven and had a much larger cast. Also, I think you noticed that Aziraphale's objective with the ball wasn't just trying to Austen Nina and Maggie together; he was also hoping that getting to dance with Crowley would work its own magic. But Shax threw a brick in his path. I can't wait to see your reactions to the final episode.
Fun fact during the ball dance scene the actors had earpieces in with people of camera feeding the dance steps so they knew what to do 😭 honestly respect to the actors who had to speak and dance I could never
Tennant has done fancy dancing before when he played Don Juan, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sheen has covered that territory either. It's pretty familiar to British actors.
"I feel like an empty house" was one of the most relatable things Jimbriel said imo. When you're shaped like a person but don't really feel like one, it can be like looking at an empty house - a structure meant for people, that has no use outside of providing shelter and warmth and safety, deprived of that use by way of being abandoned. Very Kitty Horrorshow.

hey so for no reason at all I just need you to remember that last season ended with them eating lunch at the ritz while the voice over said “That day a nightingale really did sing in Berkley square” while the 40s love song “Nightingale in Berkley Square” played in the soundtrack.
@clarestubbs9303 oh yes you are right i forgot about that!
4:46 I read somewhere that they kept so much distance because they were filming during covid. That's also the reason a lot of the demons wear some kind of mask later on during the siege
They did not keep the distance so much in ep 6 🤣
Well, hello there. Fancy finding you here
@@miram8105 General Kenobi! Oh wait, wrong fandom... But yeah, what a coincidence
Also a reason for a smaller cast. Everyone on the crew had to be in masks the entire time, Aziraphale doesn't eat anything on screen (obv very OOC for him), the whole production was in their own bubble.
@@sciencemama6801 I hadn't thought of that but it explains how it is a lot more contained.
It's a real life euphemism from the 19th century

Danny, please do episode 6 on live stream. We are only thinking of you, dude! Also, my favorite moment is Azi giving up the game that he lets Crowley save him to make him happy. If you think back to the French Revolution scene suddenly that excuse of not being able to do frivolous miracles makes sense. He puts himself in danger as a massive celestial flirting scheme because he knows Crowley has a hardcore protective streak.
OOHHHH A live reaction would be amazing! Then he could still cut it down to a vid like this afterward. AT LEAST FOR THE FINAL FIFTEEN!!!!
@@sciencemama6801Danny will be “Merrily chugging along” until the final 15.
You not buying Crowley's "coming quietly" quote is so real 😂❤
BUT DANNY FFS NINA IS THE COFFEE SHOP OWNER AND MAGGIE IS THE RECORD GIRL❗
14:30 "smooth and kinda aggressive , like a stick of butter full of hornets" is such a crazy line actually
I don’t know if this is a reference anyone will get but that reminds me of the cheesecake full of bees bit from bleach abridged.
Michael McKean (Shadwell) was supposed to be Job, but he wasn't able to travel due to covid restrictions, which is why Peter Davison got cast instead.
“A signed copy of the Bible” got my theological nerd brain firing so hard 🤣.
Haha!! Just a fun episode where they dance w eachother!! Nothing foreboding to come after this one nothing at all
Danny: look at the him and tell me there's a god
-Gabriel- jim: he made me in his own image
“And I don’t believe that’s something you do quietly”
?!?! 🤣
Thankyou I was searching for someone that mentioned this 😭 a crazy thing to say 🤣
@@chloe7219 Thank you 😂 I was wondering why more people weren’t taking about that?! What a wild thing to say 😂
I meann...
10:50 fun fact!! In one scene her “shop” is in the background and you can see a sign that says “DON'T PAY THE GUY IN THE BLUE GLASSES HE DOESN'T WORK HERE!!!" Which references smth else but everyone thought it referenced people thinking Crowley works there😭
Wait, I am just finding out, it does not refer to Crowley?
@@LovelySukhui just found out first it was referring to crowley and now that it's not referring to crowley within one minute
there's a great post series 2 fic on A03 called The Seamstress of Soho, about Crowley getting involved with Mrs Sandwiches Brothel.
Sooo, we all agree that after this Danny must react to Our Flag Means Death, right?
Yeah I wanted to comment that too but he has so many things to watch I don't think he will watch ofmd in a long time
Obviously 😁
first series maybe.. I think the second one is so messy it might not be fun.
8:38 my life is complete. wonderful acting danny.
I love Danny's love for Jim. That needs to be seen more
🎶 Everyday its a gettin closer 🎶
7:44 that was exactly what i was thinking he wasn’t crowley in that moment he was kilgrave (also i had no idea you watched jessica jones wow)
1:53 No one tell him about one of David Tennants most famous roles
😂
“I can’t believe this show has the balls to reference Doctor Who”
Danny. Danny. Adam’s dad’s car in season 1 had TARDIS spelt backwards on the number plate. Newt’s tie references Four’s scarf. One of Crowley’s “run away from everything” options is _Gallifrey._ There’s several in season 2 too but they’re less obvious.
Also the directors got Crowley’s reaction to the Bentley blowing up in s1e6 by telling David to imagine it was the TARDIS.
the fly is "bigger on the inside." the fez in the magic shop....
Yayayayayya good omens!!!!!! ALMOST TO EP 6!!!!!!! I RAN HERE SO FAST
also, it wasn't until my THIRD watchthorugh of the second season when i realized that one extra who gets yanked out of the door by shax is none other than the voice actor of the only and only GALE DEKARIOS OF WATERDEEP!!!! absolutely floored me
I saw season 2 after I played BG3, I literally squealed in joy when I first saw Tim appearing in the pub :D
Holy shit, you're right!!
SERIOUSLY? WTF
I’m absolutely floored??
'This bookshop couldn't even defend itself against a candle and a gust of wind last season' I am on the floor, help, he's right!
One more. Just one more episode and he becomes one of us
4:49 "guys... fucking GET CLOSER." i think the joke was that it was filmed in the middle of the pandemic so they really couldn't, danny lol
Jim/Gabriel busting out Liberace clothing was the highlight of this episode!
Jim is truly a gem
Oh no…I am not ready to rewatch episode 6…
Me too i am worried idk why though
As someone who has been living in the UK for a month i can confirm they are obsessed with books danny LOL
Is anyone else waiting for Danny to notice that this demon is the same actress as the psychic woman from Season 1? They just gave her a new role.
HOLD UP WHAT
@_Jade101 That was my reaction a couple months ago too. Yeah dude, they just gave her a new role. Look up the cast of season 1 and season 2. Same face, same voice.
Also Maggie and Nina were both satanic nuns from season 1, given new roles.
@@Rathdrgnknight WHAT
@@leepaulse893 That’s wild. I’m new to the fandom and keep learning new things 😂
I can NOT stress this enough: he is NOT ready for the finale.
"It seems like Aziraphale has been really running this season"
Yeah.. that's not the only thing he'll be running........
13:40 the way his face lit up
The actor playing Shax was Madame Tracy in Season 1. Likewise Nina and Maggie were baby-switching nuns, and the demon Furfur was Shakespeare.
I was not ready for Danny‘s pick me voice.

I love how the season is almost over and Danny is still calling Maggie Nina
Aziraphale IS running this season, Danny, yes! And you've not paid enough attention to his flirtations with Crowley, and, just you wait for the last episode!!!
danny's pickme crowley had me LOSING IT cracking up
I want a uncut reaction to the last 15 min from episode 6, he will be livid
In Terry Pratchett's disc world books, seamstress is code for sex workers
The planet the Doctor is from called Galifrey is also canon in this show.
WAIT REALLY!? WHERE IS THAT STATED!? PLEASE TELL ME I WANNA KNOW!!
@@lelinpelin It's one of the places Crowley was thinking of running away to
Danny we are begging u to do this this is all we ask for
16:17 a head canon about this is the fact that Crowley might be jealous of Mr. Brown. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t really try to stop him 😅
The episode 6 react better be like twice as long as this video, he's gonna need it.
"LOOK AT MY BEAUTIFUL BOY!" Such a valid reaction to the fluffy coat.
RUclips thought it could hide this video from me for more then 30 seconds

Love the Jessica Jones shout out. I somehow hadn't pieced that with this scene, but it is straight out of it.
i just rewatched this ep yesterday RIGHT AFTER starting jessica jones and i didn't even think abt it
danny I completely loved your little impression of crowlys "noOOoooOoo iM EaaaviiiLllllL"

Btw Danny, please note - you MUST watch episode 6, to the VERY END of the pictures of Aziraphale and Crowley!! ESPECIALLY Aziraphale!
Crowley is the perfect example of " I'm not nice I just do nice things"
When in reality...
