      its cause they have excellent support and assistance, its like ultimaker just a whole different market then brands like prusa, bambu, creality they focus on the higher end not the consumer market and still luzlbot printers are beasts in terms of reliablity and quality

      They could have a little US flag with US Built next to their WUXN logo, or make sure anyone viewing something about them is made fully aware that they are a US company.

    Kinda ironic that the wuxn booth was right next to a severely modified voron trident running servos, a full metal gantry/toolhead, a hotend capable of 100mm3/s, and an 85C chamber

    Thank you for this! Love supporting the home bases mfgs as much as possible. Still running my old mainly stock lulzbot kittaz built in October 2014 (seriously 10 years later and still going!) and recently bought a Wuxn WXR. Great machines! Great support. Keep going guys. Also interested in finding out more from oozebot! I'm in GA so awesome to see a 3d printer company coming from Georgia as well.
    Thanks Slice!

      Thanks to the Democrats for selling out businesses to China decades ago. It's basically too expensive or nearly illegal to manufacture here. Also some states have a law that allows corporations to send cease and desist letters to small businesses to prevent all forms of competition.

    Thanks for the video, but I didn't really see anything that stood out to me, linear rods, bed slingers and chunky over sized extruders that look like things I was designing 2 yrs ago, the Vision Minor is the only machine that's good and you didn't really cover it, Oozebot looks interesting, I like the enclosure and at least they were CoreXY, but again tool heads to chunky, throw them around at 20 to 30k acceleration and you will see ringing all over the place, I use the V2S Lite on some of my creations, in a much better configuration than these machines and even they have severe limitations due to unbalanced weight distribution.

    I'd love to support US based printers but these prices are CRAZY. $680 for a bedslinger slower than the new Ender 3 V3 which can be had at microcenter now for $299 and is 1cm smaller in bed size, and slower and smaller than a A1 which is $399. Heck its more than the new SV08 which is a core XY at 35x35x34...

    • @bthatguy1181
      @bthatguy1181 13 дней назад

      Thats some pretty short sighted thought about pricing. The only reason you see lower prices from China is because of their gov subsidies, and the goal to push as many companies out of the market hitting the sub-$600 deminimus price, which is where the chinese and amazon can skirt customs, and also avoid inspection into using parts produced by slaves.

      @bthatguy1181 just bought 3 rolls of standard black PLA from Slant 3D out of Boise. Cheapest in the states $15kg non sale. I normally run high speed PLA so I had a huge curve to get this stuff to perform. Rather than go for high speed I went for high flow rates (which really got my actual times close to the old High speed pla. Did my first part today and it came out amazing. Never going back to Amazon

    While I can appreciate your self promoting reasons for ONLY showing manufacturers that are using your products, doing that under the guise of showing off America's "best" 3D printers without even hinting to others NOT using your products is a clear failure on your part to be honest. You COMPLETELY ignored better printers that are more innovative, faster, and better designed that were shown at RMRRF24.
    While I love Slice Engineering products, and consider them to be top of the market, dishonesty like this flies in the face of what you should be doing. If you are claiming that the only printers in America that can compete with other countries (namely a red one) have your products in them, that's fine, but you need to state that up front.
    Highlighting only your own partners does the community a huge disservice, and I will call you out on it every time. Slice Eng. doesn't need to do this type of marketing. Do better. You owe it to the community and yourself.

    • @willofthemaker
      @willofthemaker Месяц назад +3

      I think highlighting them is useful. I've hardly seen anyone else talk about Wuxn which is a shame. Its a great printer and they have incredible support.
      This video is clearly also a bit advertising for Slice which is their prerogative to do. Thats why they went to the show in the first place.

    • @wildBill83
      @wildBill83 Месяц назад +1

      @@willofthemaker I still have a reprap Mendel that is reliable and still works with my PG35L direct drive extruder running RAMPS and it's from 2012. At their price point you could buy a row of Ender 3, also a very reliable printer, with similar hardware and electronics. You could build a couple of Vorons and still have change left over to buy a BambuLabs X1C. I'm also against Prusa's pricing scheme. Even the mini 3 is going for $1700 and it's still just a core XZ bed slinger with a heavy tool head. Just build two Voron Switchwires instead and have money left over for an Ender 3 still. $$$$
