Here are some of the features that changed from the minecraft alpha and minecraft beta version up to the final minecraft update before release. The oldest minecraft version has a lot of updates that changed as new minecraft features were added. Most of these are not from MCPE, though some are! I remember that, how it used to be, in order to keep leaves from decaying, you had to place them next to a log, so that the game would think it's a tree.

Actually, if you seen JAPPAs latest twitter post, you'll know that the newest cobblestone texture was WAY off to how they were making it. the texture pack was also fan-made, so obviously some textures were off

The first minecraft I played was like in 2010,2011, it was minecraft lite. Since I downloaded it I can download it again since it is my downloaded list(it has been removed from the AppStore so you gotta go to your downloaded list) I remember the gravel looking different, and everything from beta 0.1 up

Since Alpha 1.3 (or 1.4) you are no longer able to click through door windows. It's sad that they removed it, it was the best feature IMO, you could annhihilate creepers
Back in the beginning of the Nether Ghasts took damage in the lava lakes. Hearing a choir of ghasts throughout the Nether was the most beautiful thing and scary thing at the same time. Bring that back !!!

The wheat grew so fast because the random tick speed was set higher up to show the fire.
I remembered that before, we used to make hidden bases out of sand. We make the secret entrance out of gravel and water, we broke the block below the gravel and the water pushes it thus making the door open.

I started playing Minecraft in around April 2014
I didn’t think I played in Beta or Alpha, but I remember the leaves being all neon, I remember the old Steve, I remember Reeds and Furnace texture, and I remember Sulfur, but I don’t remember the world number limit, inventory being i, or the version number always being on screen... I remember most of these things though.
I miss the old cobble, among other things.
i remember back then, using F7 or F8 you could do this thing where whenever you looked around your view would keep moving even though you would stop... did anyone else remember this

No, iron blocks changed into a texture like the current gold/diamond block, but in a light gray. At release 1.0.0, the iron block changed to the modern texture.

I just realized I was less than 2 when Minecraft first came out. That's insane, it's still so popular!
I actually remember playing minecraft on mcpe in like 2010 and i built a "hotel" out of wool, and my brother set a piece of wool on fire and the whole building burned down in around 2 minutes. Stupid young me decided it would be a good idea to pour water everywhere, and i destroyed my building that way. Sad times.

Omg, I remember all of these! I remember back when it was just a website, I just can't believe it's come so far.
Also when notch added feathers he did not know a way to incorporate them into the game so he made zombies would drop them. It was later changed so that zombies no longer drop feathers, they drop zombie flesh.

As far as I know in the original Steve face the ' beard ' was supposed to be a smile but the majority thought it was a beard and so was removed.
You forgot the 1.9 Beta update, It never got released. It added the end, the portal frames were way different

Raw chicken has a much lower chance of giving the hunger effect. Rotten flesh often affects one with hunger.

I remember this a long time ago.... when you could get grass ... for some reason it had some kind of durilbilty fun fact: I was scared of the animals back in the day in minecraft EVEN IF I WAS IN CREATIVE I looked back on this and laughed. Good times..... I also remember me complaining: "WHY CAN'T I RUN ISN'T THAT NORMAL?" Haha.Who else remembers when you play the pocket edition like many years ago, the world would not save after you like 2 minutes off the game.

I remember almost all of these 😂. The Fire one always got me though. One second I had a house and a forest. And suddenly it was all in flames. Then you'd have to frantically use your bucket of water and water source to try and put it out. Then you got left with a complete mess to clean up.
You used to be able to place saplings, flowers, etc on any block when water was on top of it
