I had s22's on my rsv4 and they worked great and wore evenly. Now I have a set on my r1 and although they stick like glue they aren't wearing very well. Sides are wearing down but the center compound isn't. I tried doing some burnouts to even em back up but that covered my underseat in tiny burnt rubber balls and didn't really work. Should I go single compound since most all my riding is leaning on curvy roads with zero commuting. Thanks. Love the channel.
I had a Google after reading your message and I think it’s to the highest point of the tyre, ie the centre, not that wall measurement. By the way I’m no expert so I could be wrong but your comment intrigued me so I went looking on Google.
Again I'm not the expert, but AFAIK it's the height from the bead to the tread face, so with the curve of a bike tyre I'd guess that's to its highest point, only because that would seem to make it about the right measurement.
@@falcopops Sounds correct since it can't be the loaded side as the weight of the bike and rider would effect that, so not be consistent. As Gary said the pressure for road use with pillion has to keep the carcas supported for use at speed. However the harder it is the more rolling resistance so it's a balance...

We run S22's on all our bikes 4x Tuono's, 2x S1000R's & Speed Trip 1050RS but the Big K1300R gets all the removed tyres from our bike purchases.
