    Yes, please do an eventual follow up video on how these plates perform after they're no longer new. eg, How do they hold up? Does their grippy tackiness change? Do they clean well? etc. Many thanks!

      It’s a brand called “kobra” has no impact on successive layers. Just use it as you would a sprayer paint fine, every coat really.

    Hello I’m new to gel plate printing, I enjoy your content very much. Could you tell me is that a charcoal pencil you’re using for the outlines of the “invisible man” & that’s a lazer jet printout you’ve coloured in with the chalk pastels?

    • @gelwithmark
      @gelwithmark  Месяц назад +2

      @@serendipitylovejoy4724 hi. It’s a soft pastel pencil but you can use a charcoal pencil as long as it’s not mixed with wax. Yes I just printed out an image onto copy paper it can be either laserjet or inkjet as your just using it as a surface to transfer the pastel dust to the gel plate.

    • @gelwithmark

      It’s called mixed media artist board which can be bought here in the uk from a company called Seawhites not sure if you would be able to get it if you are located outside the UK thought. It’s basically a board a few millimetres thick which is double bonded either side with 200gsm cartridge paper.

    I’ve just bought a 16x20 Gelelf from Temu. It came packed flat which is good. My trouble is that the paint is beading very badly. Any suggestions???

    • @gelwithmark
      @gelwithmark  3 месяца назад +1

      @@chrishayman1747 hmm I’ve noticed a few posts in gel plate groups say the same about beading, my plates worked straight away without any issues so I’m not sure if they have changed anything in how they make the plates. People are saying to wash the plates with soap and that they seem to take longer to break in than the other brands do maybe try that and do a few more pulls. If the problem persists maybe email Gelelf and report your issues.

    They are okay. Except if you buy them from Temu the packaging is poor and fold the bigger plates which makes them unusable.
    No bubble wrap just shoved in a bag folded in half.
