Unfortunately no can do with Quake C while keeping it compatible with the Remaster. Lots of limitations, surprised I even got this far. Thanks for the praise!
I'mma be honest I don't know who Keel is or what they're from, but they look cool, looking forward to try them out. Edit: OH they're from Quake 3, never played that, but I'm glad Q3 has some rep now.
Anarki, Slash, and Sorlag are also all from Quake 3 originally (Slash's Red Team skin is actually her appearance from Q3!). Q3's got some pretty good rep in both the live QC and this mod. Q3 is pretty great. My favorites are Q1 and QC, but Q3 will always have a special place in my heart.
I think this is a nice idea for new players to get better known with quake franchise.Sure you should play vanilla quake 1 first ,but it is a nice change instead of quake champions
Since Quake Live has workshop support, wouldn't this had been easier to do on there? It also automatically downloads mods when you're connecting to someone's server, the Quake 1 assets, and all of the mod could have downloaded in for people connecting for the first time. Either way very nice, and awesome stuff, I'm a big fan of Quake Champions, Halo, and Half-Life 1 Multiplayer so this is awesome.
I chose Quake 1 because I wanted to supply Quake Champions with a Single Player / Coop component, Quake 1 already has a solid Single Player / Coop component, the fidelity of the graphics and maps are closer to my chosen aesthetic for They Came From Dimension X, my favorite game in the series is Quake 1, and as a learning exercise for not only Quake 1 modding but game design in general. There are more minor reasons, but these are the bigger ones. I appreciate the props. Hope you enjoy the mod!
@@BlueKeyGamesInteresting. Proton VPN isnt letting me access it, despite me not using any of their DNA blocker services, only the VPN, and thereby their DNS server, which isnt even an issue because even when i try to access the ip address directly it still doesnt work. For some reason the connection doesnt go through First time i had an issue with proton not letting me visit a site. Strange. Trying to figure out whats up with wireshark
I don't know! It's not really designed for mobile, but it uses pure QuakeC and isn't dependent on any specific engine features. Try it and let me know how it goes!
My suggestions for next characters: Hacker from System Shock, Nicholas Raine, Cybermage, Bombshell, Cate Archer, Artyom, John Blade, HAVOC Unit, Tal'Set and Jack Curtis.
If you mean compared to the previous update, no, but Slash's plasma trail might get a little bit of a nerf in the next update. If you mean compared to the official Quake Champions, there are a few mechanics changes but it matches pretty closely. The most significant changes are Death Knight's and Keel's abilities, and the (current) lack of machine gun and tribolt.
Nah, please just return to They come from Dimenson X. We need that shit more than an addict needs his shot. Literally throwing cash at the screen right now.....pieces of paper fall off.
While I appreciate the enthusiasm, my work on Quake and my other projects are actually game dev studies for the work I end up putting into They Came From Dimension X, from design to modeling to texture work and mapping. They act as exercises and practice to help me figure out how to accomplish things for They Came From Dimension X. I also don't need to return to it as I had never left it - a lot of work is going on that I haven't shared yet.
Installing the mod is unfortunately a bit involved due to the nature of some features of the mod, but I've made sure to include some thorough instructions in the mod's documentation. I'm looking at converting the docs from Markdown to HTML so that they can be included with the mod directly rather than linked to in the readme. github.com/RhapsodyInGeek/Quake-Champions-Classic/blob/main/docs/setup.md
Spraying a wall of projectiles like a fire hose seems fun as hell.
I'm surprised they didn't play a midi version of ACDC's "Big Gun" when they revealed Big John.
Big John enjoyers 👇
Aw yea that's me
haha kill me
Guten tag!! Haha!
Big John!
I'm right here! Haha! Girly man!
The map desing is awesome!!!
Big John! BIG JOHHHHN!
You madlads! 😂
Hopefuls for the next characters: Bitterman, Sarge, BJ Blazkowitcz, Johnny Turbo, The Champion, Caleb, Lo Wang, Zane Lofton
I can confirm plans to implement one of these champs for the next update.
If character selection menu can show character models, it can even be better. It's already looking good.

@@BlueKeyGames You can do that with Quake C if that's CSQC in Nuclide for FTEQW demo, check out. Pure Quake C have lots of limitations.

Who's Big John and why he babbles like Schwarzenegger?
Big John is a boss from the game Dusk. He babbles like Schwarzenegger because... well, you'd have to ask Dave Oshry.
