if you rely on animations to get a ankle breaker then you can’t be good at dribbling, all the past 2ks bail people out with ankle breaking animations when the defender is actually playing good defense, you shouldn’t need a animation to beat your defender if you’re a good dribbler, this is skill gap

True but the actual devs change certain shit no one asked them to change, like the original 2k16 shot meter, or good archetype systems. Ppl always say 2k16 was the best for a reason. They didn't restrict you with builds and gave you three options from inside/outside or balanced. Which is why some ppl just play on PC for the mods. 2k is ruined for offline players.

I think 2k needs to also work on better matchmaking, closing the gaps on the competition. I have a 91 interior finisher almost maxed out badges and get matched up with 95+ try hards and I get 70-85 teammates unless I do an east servers audition 🤦🏽♂️
