I loved Ian also way before this love some Jason but for different reasons. Ian soothes my soul hooing this helps Ian's career. Just saw Ian three weeks ago he blew my mind it's all I have been listening to can't wait till 31st when I will have the albulm. Thank you Jason for getting Ian Noes music out there.
I was born in Appalachia and this man sings for the mountains and the folks in it. My parents moved to Canada when I was 3 years old. Now I'm a southern boy living way up north the mountains here might be bigger but the spirit is still the same. I'm from west Virginie but grew up in the rockies of British Columbia. Ian Noe is the voice of the people.
I was born on long island and spent most of my life in the beach cities of so cal... I was listening to this thinking, this is real... I'm glad to hear it from someone who knows... a great musician with a fantastic voice and genuine heart.
This isn't country. It's FOLK!!! The boy is a great player, and is channeling Guthrie high wide and handsome. I'm old enough to remember when this kind of music was all over. Now, not so much. I hope people get interested in this genre again. Thank you, Jason for giving this youngster some air time.
I'm right there with ya !! My cousin was taking me to coffee houses ( The Main Point Bryn Mawr, PA) and The Philadelphia Folk Festival when I was as young as 10 ! I saw amazing people like John Hartford, Jim & Ingrid Croce, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins and when I was 12, my heartthrob, John Denver ! Oh and James Taylor , Jackson Browne and of course John Denver at the coffee house. Those were the days. When I bought my first CD player, years and years after they came out, and the first 3 CDs I bought were James Taylor - Sweet Baby James, Carol King - Tapestry, and Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman. My go to's usually. Oh, and Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon and the Moody Blues - Days of Future Past.
This is straight up Kentucky folk music ! It’s a blend of bluegrass , folk with some country tinges . This is our down home music , heard at any good party . Ian is incredible
Man... Ian has such a classic sound. Love it. The city lights in the background against his soulful music that’s reminiscent of simpler times makes for a beautiful contrast 🤘🏻
Jason, let me say I'm so thankful you gave Ian access to your incredible platform! I met him when he opened for Colter Wall here in Italy, he's a nice guy, great musician and songwriter, and he deserves to be known and appreciated 👍
C W yes that’s what it is . He is playing it like a guitar here but it is also played on the lap with a slide . Jerry Douglas is probably one of the best known dobro players . Here’s a link to one of his videos so you can see what I’m talking about : ruclips.net/video/3dtPc3wNxOg/видео.html
C W the dobro is one of my favorite instruments. It gives music that mournful , high lonesome sound . It fits perfectly with music outta the hills of Kentucky. Here’s my favorite example ruclips.net/video/yqDVObM1kxc/видео.html
Jason, Great talented musicians. He is the real deal!!! As unsigned musicians we know how valuable this was. You just pulled up an unknown artist with with you. That is how you use fame the right way brother! You inspire and you give hope to all of us starving artists. God bless you Jason. We are going to tell our radio friends about him tomorrow.
Such a humble guy.🤙🏼You are now our favorite celebrity. Don’t ever change who you are... BTW, That’s so cool you have put some random person on spotlight. Cool stuff.
Thank you for showing us this amazing singer, Jason! He's absolutely amazing. His voice is so beautiful, and the first song gives me some Frontier vibes. I also just want to say that I love this comment section as well. So many positive and humble people😊💚 I hope you all have a amazing day or night.
I live in the county adjacent to Ian. We’re so proud of him and so many other great talented musicians in our area. Thank you for showing the world Ian’s gifts because they are many. Your friends and neighbors here at home couldn’t be happier for you Ian Noe! ❤️Hey Jason! Come visit us anytime here in the Red River Gorge! You would love it!
Jason, super kool, you and Ian were able to personally meet. He's a fantastic kid, well young man. Met him last year, through him always being interested in prehistoric artifacts. Ian tours a lot with Colter Wall, who are both fantastic musicians. Jason didn't even know you had a channel, until Ian posted this on his Facebook page. Kudos for giving him a boost in interest from those who didn't know of him.
Reminds me of the years of collecting folksongs in the Blue Ridge with my parents, saving the musical gems before the old people who sang them passed beyond. Wish Jason Momoa had found me during the years I played and taught on the folky circuit, living out of my car with a hyperactive child and seven dogs. Misplaced in time. Young Ian Noe is marvelous - so good to see the tradition going on. Fly Ian! Thank you, Mr. Momoa.
Beautiful turns of phrase..... we should all remember his name for the future...Ian Noe He should **seriously** consider using the opening frames of the second song as an album cover. Beautiful facial expression and the bokeh behind him....perfect. Thanks so much for the introduction, Jason.
saw him in nashville a little over a year ago, and he is the most magical musician i’ve ever seen live. i think i held my breath the entire time he was that good. so glad to see him getting some recognition!
Soulful Folk Rock, it's like listening to Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash at the same time. Perfect music to sit back contemplating while drinking a nice glass of beer. Thank you Jason for bringing attention to Ian's music. The world needs this right now.
thanks to jason and the meeting with this young man , great sound and music , thankyou for bringing his music , much needed in these times a return to great music,
The most badass actor in Hollywood wearing the most badass band with the most badass album and album cover. So much testosterone my biceps grew three inches just sitting here.
Immediate like from me! I’m not a huge fan of country and folk but I’m definitely a fan of Ian Noe. Awesome that you two got to meet and hang out and him show you some Eastern KY love.
Mr. Momoa! Hey... another great job from you coming across this very talented young man and thank you so very much for sharing him with us. Sandra Nelson is spot on...definitely "Folk Music" by the style in which Ian sings his deep words and one of my favorite type of deepest storytelling music to spread out my arms on the sofa, close my eyes and really chill to - was once a very popular genre back in the day. IAN! Young man... Stay true to yourself, surround yourself with only GOOD people (quickly drop the users) and stay focus on your path towards achieving exactly what you want out of life! The older I get, this seems to be the music I listen to. Ian Noe, Tyler Childers, Charlie Crockett, Benjamin Todd, and many others are where real music is at.
I love how Jason finds and supports unknown artists of all kinds! This video wasn’t about Jason at all just about his love of music. One of the many things that sets Jason apart from most other celebrities these days is his joy in sharing the spotlight with unknown artists helping them share their art with the world. Jason continues to be the guy we’d all love to hoist a pint with. So hats off to you Jason and Ian!

Love this artist & his instrument. Resonator guitars have an awesome sound. When played like a dobro with finger picks & a slide, a whole different layer of sound is heard! I’ve downloaded Ian Noe’s songs that are on iTunes...amazing musician!
