There's lots of botanical gardens in Scotland. If you're ever in Edinburgh then you should 💯 visit the one there. It's incredible and has these huge glasshouses full of plants from all over the world.
In Germany many big cities have botanical gardens, the often belong to the universities and are maintained by them here and at this point my bf and I have been to so many of them bc I'm the same as you when I see one I wanna go in, take a walk and enjoy the tropical plants and at this point by bf is done with them as well 😂😂
I just discovered you vlog ( watched your Tasmania one, going next year…very helpful it was thank you). I have a love-Hate thing with Welly , I love driving in for a meal ( live in Kapiti) and that’s about it…. Rather go over to the Wairarapa for the day, love the vibe over there. Hope your remaining time here is enjoyable✌️
Thank you so much for watching!! Enjoy your time in Tasmania!! It’s such a beautiful place🙏🙏 we definitely also got the love-hate thing with Wellington haha!
As a Wellingtonian, I honestly agree that it's not a place you need to spend a lot of time in. It's definitely worth stopping for at least a day to see Te Papa, which is unlike any museum you can visit inside the country or out. And other than that the main attractions are the Cable Car/Botanic Garden, Zealandia, Weta Workshop, and maybe Parliament, which can be worth extending your stay for another day or two if you're interested in them. Wellington is also famous for its coffee, sushi, and craft beer, so make sure to check those out if they're your thing.
Most NZ cities aren’t really tourist destinations. Wellington’s a nice place to live (if you have a decent paying job). That matters more than whether it is nice to visit.
@@danieleyre8913 Oh definitely. I live in Wellington myself and don't ever plan on living anywhere else in the country because of how ideal it is in nearly every way (apart from affordability, which isn't exactly great in any other city). There's just not much on offer for vacationing tourists who are trying to most effectively utilise their limited time.
The reason Wellington is the capital is that Auckland Russell was fighting the gold rush boom near Dunedin so a compromise was made not Christchurch or Dunedin ir Auckland or Russell it would be in the middle of the country so Wellington it was nobody first pick so everyone lost yea?
Wellington was chosen as the capital for obvious reasons; it is in the middle of the country and was the most convenient for the rest of the country to get to if they needed to (back in the 19th century).
6:43 - Did you not see the multiple no camera signs? You can literally see them in the shot. Have some respect. Pretty ignorant to still film and add to your vlog. That whare was confiscated by the British army.
Botanical Gardens are more than just parks, theyre for education and research/conservation purposes….And yes, the UK has lots of them 🙂
I totally agree!! Although maybe we just don't have any too local to us coz other than London I don't think I've ever been to any haha!

There’s a botanical garden in Oxford, Cambridge and Bath!
Wellington so different to Auckland. Lots to do depending on interests. Eastbourne, Somes island, hike mount Victoria, beaches, mountain biking etc
Your vlogs are so comforting, I feel like I could watch these for hours! You're a star
Awhhh this is so lovely!! Thank you so much for watching🤍🫶
I wish you had come through Taupo on your way to Wellington... you only need to spend an hour but it's so beautiful and we always get bypassed!
We stopped here on our way back to Auckland for the night!! The weather was super rainy but the lake still looked gorgeous 💙
Quite funny we‘ve been in that museum on the same day, currently also travelling New Zealand
No way!! Hope you're having the best trip!
Molly, Auckland is New Zealand's largest City, and Wellington is the capital City of NZ.

Love how you and Tom having argument about botanical garden. Very cute.😂
honestly😂😂😂
I live in Wellington and I agree 100% with your final take on Wellington. I would like to add that it has gone backwards over the past 4-5 years.
Personally, I'd take the cable car up, and walk down.😊
Great Barrier island is beautiful...few sight seeing you have missed along the North Island but thats ok...Waiuku has water gardens ...
I do really wish we had longer here but also the weather was really not it, we're gonna stop off in Taupo on the way back up though!

Did you not see this comment? Big colonial energy
Kia ora no poneke
Wellington is often sunny. You obviously did not see the art and cultural scene.
It’s not easy to find in all fairness; you have to know where to look for it.
