There's nothing more beautiful than a dancer's body... except their feet. You wanna see some nasty hooves, check a dancer's feet. Years of callous, broken toes, stress fractures... but from the ankles up? Michelangelo couldn't do better.
This was such a genuine coming out story. I felt like I completely connected with your experiences and uncomfortable moments with your mom! Love it and thank you for sharing this!
Thank you, James! This is probably the most relaxed and entertaining CO-Story I watched so far. It just left a smile on my face. The kissing on the driveway under your mother's (wide open) eyes, Beyonce ... Good wishes - Martin
Honey you are so adorable and I appreciate your fabulous story. Never let ANYONE treat you less than you are. You are beautiful just the way you are....😊xx
Thanks for sharing. I felt trapped in the 70's when I began to suspect that I was gay a basically lived a life for 50 years pleasing other people. I have an eating disorder because I denied my feelings and only felt pain when they came up so I ate to cover the pain thank you so much .Andy
James, I grew up in the arts, Broadway and later opera, circa 1969 and forward. Despite the reality that almost everyone in the Broadway Community (at least the men) was gay, we had to be much more circumspect. Me, I was way out there compared to many others. When I went to work for a major opera company, still lots of gay men around. Ok, some women, too. Everyone was way more closeted at least towards the general public. Now I can't pick up an issue of Opera News where some singer or conductor is open about being gay, and bravo to them. The incoming Music Director at the Met is openly gay as opposed to his predecessor who..................................well he wasn't...........................whatever. Different times, young man. I am glad things are easier, we older guys and gals worked hard to make the world easier for you younger folks. Our gift to you.
We do appreciate it, I promise. As a Mum of an 18 year old kid who is on the transgender spectrum, in some ways we're going through a related process in trying to get acceptance for their community and their generation in a new age, especially with social media and the Internet being so predominant. It's makes some things easier and some things harder, but we wouldn't be where we are without your generation and the fighting you've done for us so far. As a queer woman myself it's been a fight I've been in since my teens in the 90's here in the UK and we wouldn't be where we are without all the brave people who came before us.
In retrospect, I always knew I was gay even as a small child I was always attracted to one or two guys in my class at school, of course, they did not know this. I was even attracted to some grown men who I found to be good looking. When establishing friendships I was only interested in guys I was attracted to, if I was not attracted to them I did not care to have them as friends. That really sounds rude and cold but that is just the way I was. I was not being sexual with anyone but it just filled me with glowing joy to be in the presence of guys I found to be nice looking. I never really came out because I was never in the closet to begin with. I was never a follower and never was concerned about what others were thinking. Mother always told her friends that I always walked to the beat of my own drum which was pretty much correct I guess.
8 years of Modern, Jazz, and Ballet, and I never experienced a company that was more than 10% gay/straight ratio. You keep yourself healthy and whole, James. And NEVER forget to take care of your footgear. That's what ended my dance career - busted a half-sole and ended up with a torn hamstring. 3 months in a cast after 4 hours in surgery to reattach the ligament. Now I have to content myself with a bit of Salsa and Ballroom, and leave the Graham and Robbins to young, beautiful men like yourself. Merde!
Absolutely adore you!🌹,, And thank you for your story. Im sure it wasn't easy, growing up with a gay sister whom I love, I know it wasn't easy for her either. You have a delicious personality! DON'T EVER CHANGE! 💙💚💛💜💖
You seem like a great guy, very well balanced. You're too hard on your young self, no teenager wants to discuss their sex life with their parents so I don't think that has really changed a lot since you came out.
I love your personality and your story, and your friendship with Cindy. Note I am a middle aged, married, former ballerina. The first company i was in there was only one gay man and of course he was my partner. Mwah!
That moment when your mom tries to figure out if there were any woman you may be attracted to (at 3:52 ). Been there. The correct answer is a gentle, sincere "No." Anything else distracts them from dealing with the truth and moving ahead in that reality.
I would like to come out : I prefer fish than meat. Are you interested in this ? The same for me, I really don't care about people prefering boys than girls.
Thanks for sharing your story. And your arms! 💪
I too thanks for his story and those arms, wow.

As well as having his own established career in the arts, JBW is also Milk's boyfriend :)
Boy, are you ever easy on the eyes.
You are awesome!
He has such manly deep voice
Yeah but sounds too feminine.
How dare you. He has a deep femme voice and it’s beautiful.
Pepe Too feminine for what? Why is someone with a right-wing troll avatar and name commenting on coming out videos?
you carry that load extremely well. proud to know of you.
Bob Cox do you have a nice pacjage
Absolutely adore you!🌹,, And thank you for your story. Im sure it wasn't easy, growing up with a gay sister whom I love, I know it wasn't easy for her either. You have a delicious personality! DON'T EVER CHANGE! 💙💚💛💜💖

I'm sorry you had to stand your ground against their efforts to impose heterosexuality on you.
