In India, BJP ruled states are only 40% of the total. BJP coalitions have to be treated as Non BJP ideologically. All non BJP states are hardline pro - minorityst and the Central Government is moving in the same direction. The government does not appear to be especially loyal to the principles and promises which would have promoted the Civilisational State. Some attribute this to expediency . Others to even cynicism or delusion. But with emphasis on political dominance and the territorial state, with little respect for intellectual clarity and philosophical conviction, it looks like a waste of a rare opportunity and precious time.
Unlike our ancient culture of decentralised system we need at least one organisation which can unify and lead us Hindus for the fight against breaking India forces. 🙏🚩
I would not place Gandhi in the same league as swami Vivekananda and sri aurobindo because Gandhi is full of dichotomy. Gandhian thought is very flawed and full of ambiguity. Sri aurobino and swami Vivekananda are in a league apart.
Based on certain influences, Nehru, who was not an intellectual (unlike Vivekananda or Aurobindo or Tagore) had an admiration for Communist tyrants like Stalin and Mao and for the British, and the Mughals, and a loathing for Hinduism.
"Hard Sciences" are very much Indian. Many thoughts of 18th century Adam Smith are found in Kautilya's Arthashastra nearly 2500 before him. Panini developed the world's first formal system - the Sanskrit language (more specifically, it's grammer). Sushrutha had invented dozens of surgical procedures (& instruments) way back in 600 BCE. So, systemic thinking, organization, management, scientific temper, etc., are arguably more fundamental to the Indian civilization than the upstart Northern Europeans. This patronizing thinking that India is "too much spiritual" is just indicative of ignorance of world history by these people. It's the out-group invasions since the 11th century that led to the destruction of India's intellectual institutions & traditions (one of the oldest in the world) & which allowed the "West" to advance ahead of it. Bhaskara's perpetual motion system (& its obvious flaw) would have eventually led to the discovery of thermodynamics, calculus (discovered 140 years earlier in India) would have revolutionized mathematics & astronomy, etc. India must now re-absorb all the advances made by the Northern Europeans (the foundations of which were laid largely by the Greco-Romans, Indians & Chinese) back into its Sanskritic traditions. One of the first steps in this regard is the de-hyphenation of Sanskrit from its stereotype as a "religious language" (the "devabhasa") & revive it as the intellectual link language of India (a role currently played by English).
His comments are a classic example of sugarcoating the western influence to make it look more human. In reality, his words sound more like India should follow western definition of civilization. Notice how did not even touch the word “vedic” even though Rajiv ji mentioned it quite a few times at the beginning.
