I'm in America, so I didn't discover Heartland until I the fall of 2010 when I was in 7th grade. It aired every Sunday night at 7 on "CW" where the first 3 seasons were shown. I've loved this show ever since. It's become one of my top 10 favorite series of all time.

I’ve watched this show for years. It is my number one favorite. I miss the days when there were 15 or 18 episodes. It is a show about love acceptance and patience. Not many shows are about families that can be real. They aren’t perfect they make mistakes but the beauty is how they deal with the mistakes. They work together as a family. They support a positive community that has good and nefarious people but at the end of the day they stay true to their North Star. I wish we had 10 or more shows with a positive message. Maybe the world not be such a dark mean place. Thank you to Canada for your beautiful family story. I wait patiently for season 18. Please make more.
I just knew that in ny heart, that Caleb wasn't gone for good. Glad that he is back. I watch when I can find episodes online. I live in the U.S. and I don't have any streaming service. So when I find a dew episodes that I haven't seen yet, its a treasure. Still need to see season 16.
These 10 episode seasons leave me jonesing for more, that almost a decade and half of 18 episodes plus a christmas movie makes these seasons feel so short. Maybe it's time to do another seasonal/holiday movie!!!
CBC can legally run Heartland in Canada only. For a show from one country to run in another, there needs to be a local broadcaster willing to buy the rights to do so. If you're in the US, you got particularly fortunate that a broadcaster did take an interest in picking up the rights. This does not happen as often as you might think (though services like Netflix and Hulu are changing and challenging that antiquated model). You have a channel like UPtv that picks up the rights to stream online and broadcast on cable, but only after CBC in Canada has run the season in its entirety. After that, other streaming services (like Netflix USA) get a chance to license the show on their platform later on.

Which meant that he had to follow his ex to the new town she moved to, so that his son could be near both his parents. I guess that the combination of last season and this teaser means that he will be back in a "recurring/ guest role", and not as a "regular" full time actor, and that Caleb perhaps will be visiting his friends and "second family" from time to time. After all the character Caleb left by moving and not dying, so it might be kind of similar to the situation of Georgie and Mallory, both have left the show, but are still a part of the family and drops in for a couple of episodes if needed for the context.
I just loved And love Heartland! I couldn’t get enough! I told a friend recently that I like to watch an episode before bedtime because it would fill my mind with kindness, love, beauty! I wish we had more television series’s just like Heartland! Please please continue this amazing show!
I'm so freaking excited for Season 18 and possibly Season 19. I'm excited for the storyline this season & can't wait to see what's in store. I'm really hoping for more Amy and Lyndy moments, especially since the twins are older & can act more.
I've rewatched this show so many times. The last time i watched them all was during a difficult time in my life when i spent the summer in the hospital. I would always look forward to watching an episode or two when my mom came to visit me each night. I love this show and I'm so happy they are making a new season! I do miss Ty though. I was devastated when they killed him off.

I cant wait for the new season!!! I have been watching the series since it came out. When I was a little girl I always read the original book for heartland and loved it so much!!! It was one of the reasons I fell in love with horses! So I cant wait to watch the new season and thank you for the wonderful series!! It has been such a wonderful joy to watch with my kids!!
The constant pushing new love interests towards Amy, that where Heartland loses me. Heartland was start as a family ranch, a family who comes together to mend and cope after a loss, and a young female who has an incredible bond and love for horses. Heartland was never meant to be a love story, although we got the greatest love story ever. No one can replace Ty. The love story Ty and Amy shared can never be reproduced or recreated especially being it took 13-14 seasons to build. They experienced friendship, companionship, young love, relationship, marriage, and the started a family together. Of course along the way there were in and outs, ups and downs. Nobody is perfect, everything they experienced together was real life situations. Why can't Amy remain a strong single independent mother? Is Amy's love for her daughter Lyndy and her love and memories of her late husband Ty not enough? Is her love for her family and her bond and love for horses not enough? Women go through this everyday and there's nothing wrong with it. Some people only get or have only 1 Happily Ever After. I think there's so much more that the writers can come up with besides trying to find new love interests for Amy, it takes so much away from other everyday situations or family problems or solutions they can write about.
Yes although I do think in a show if a romantic bond needs to be made it should be with Sam that’s the most natural one on this case it would work but the storyline with Amy is so dull now and these ‘suitors’ I can’t keep up with 🙄. She should be more honed in on family I agree if it were me I wouldn’t be out searching for romance or even considering it I’d let it happen naturally if at all for the sake of my kids.
There's nothing wrong with falling in love again either. Family love and parent love are not the same as romantic love and it's perfectly normal and understandable that a 30-something woman who lost her husband would want to experience a romantic relationship again and not stay alone(in a romantic way) for the rest of her life. She can love, cherish and mourn Ty and still choose happiness again. I don't see you advocating against Jack remarrying. Amy was very young when she lost Ty and expecting her to not crave another relationship, that's the unrealistic part. You're right, women(and men) experience the loss of a spouse every day, and many of them remarry. It's the way of life.

I just found this show, this year! I binge watched it until the end of season 17. I absolutely love it! I live in the US though and am sad it's going to be awhile before I'll be able to watch season 18. 😢
I've been addicted from season 1 and I cannot believe that it's gotten even better than what hooked me from the start. I just adore these people and I am not a celebrity fanatic type of person at all. I hold all entertainment to the Heartland standard and nothing has met it. I couldn't watch Yellowstone at all because it was so dark and low frequency. Nothing can touch what Heartland does to the ❤️

I am in the UK, so I couldn’t start from Season 1 sadly. On Netflix, only seasons 7-17 are available. However, I was hooked right from the start. I feel like I resonate/relate/connect with all of the characters so well! I am in Season 12 currently, and I can’t wait to see how all of the characters devil characters change and develop ❤❤
It's going to be amazing. I just hope I will be able to fit it in my busy schedule. I was supposed to have an easy school year but the program I am doing has changed. So, it's going to be a busy school year. I hope I will have the energy to watch it. I hope so.

It looks good but I really miss Ty ! Amy with any other guy isn't the same and I want her to be happy but the love her and Ty had made the show! Like others who have commented, I have watched the entire series start to finish so many times I've lost count. I can watch 15 seconds of an episode and 99.5% of the time know the season it was shown in. I can usually say the words before they're spoken on screen. It's spooky. I can't wait for S18. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until Spring 2025 to watch it when UP Fath & Family will show it in the US. Definitely need more episodes. I understand the complication with the weather in Canada, but they've had longer seasons before so it can be done.

I agree with this. Yes they did a Christmas episode at the end of season 16 but I would prefer a movie, especially since Lyndy is in the picture

I'm Brazilian and I'm simply in love with Heartland, very excited for season 18 and it seems to me that just from the trailer, there will be great moments that I'm excited about like Calab talking about Ty and many other moments

My childhood included MANY of the books in the series. My adulthood now will include 18+ seasons of the television series! I can't wait to stream it in the US.

I am in the UK, so I couldn’t start from Season 1 sadly. On Netflix, only seasons 7-17 are available. However, I was hooked right from the start. I feel like I resonate/relate/connect with all of the characters so well!
I am in Season 12 currently, and I can’t wait to see how all of the characters devil characters change and develop ❤❤
Love Heartland, It never ceases to amaze me..
It's going to be amazing. I just hope I will be able to fit it in my busy schedule. I was supposed to have an easy school year but the program I am doing has changed. So, it's going to be a busy school year. I hope I will have the energy to watch it. I hope so.
I can’t wait for were all the characters will be in this season. I know that Amy will have to make a decision between cable and Nathan but it will be interesting to find out. And also lou is going to be more involved with the family more than ever and can we talk about Katie and lyndy what are they going to overcome in this new season! I am so excited to see this new season and the trailer .
It looks good but I really miss Ty ! Amy with any other guy isn't the same and I want her to be happy but the love her and Ty had made the show! I wish some how they could bring back Ty for the final season 18! Say he was in a coma and they gave her the wrong person or he was kidnapped by someone and he finally made his way home! PLEASE bring back Ty!
Like others who have commented, I have watched the entire series start to finish so many times I've lost count. I can watch 15 seconds of an episode and 99.5% of the time know the season it was shown in. I can usually say the words before they're spoken on screen. It's spooky.
I can't wait for S18. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until Spring 2025 to watch it when UP Fath & Family will show it in the US.
Definitely need more episodes. I understand the complication with the weather in Canada, but they've had longer seasons before so it can be done.
