Sorry for this video being a bit scattered. I should of did the camera part in one segment and the town in another. Now that the rust is knocked off and we're caught up, lots of exploring is on the way!
I enjoyed it just the way it was ...Love your new camera !.Appreciate you standing in the cold to bring us another adventure . ...and learning something along the way ...Hope you've had plenty of hot chocolate and warmed up by now ☕👍💙
I know how you feel, when I went to Kilgore Falls, a big part of that video was a review of the pocket three. I ended up deleting that part of the video because it was just all over the place, and I think it kind of took away from the falls.
Hey Jay It is really good to see you back. I didn't realize just how much I missed your videos until I watched this one. What an amazing video with lots of cool history. It really seems to be a truly beautiful town kind of locked in time. The new camera really seems to add a lot of clarity to the video and sound. It's good to know that you had such a pleasant, much needed, rest. You really didn't seem rusty to me. You jumped right back in without missing a beat. Will be anxiously awaiting the invitation to the next amazing adventure. Until next time, stay safe and God bless. Steve in Oklahoma
Welcome back! Glad you’re okay. I always get worried when someone I subscribe to doesn’t post for a while. Great camera! Looking forward to some awesome views.
Welcome back, Jay!!💙Great to see a new video! Love your new camera! Really cool tracking feature and improved clarity in low light and stability. Honesdale definitely has some cool history -- what a nice place to visit! Would love to see the Carley Brook Waterfall in warmer weather and/or in the fall. Excellent photo montage and I'm looking forward to your next video!!😊💙
Good to see a new video from you. Although... according to the comments, I think I'm the only one watching that's not from there or never been there. 😀 The Christmas lights still up are pretty cool. I'll be watching for your next video. Safe travels.

Great video, I enjoyed all the aspects of it. First off, kudos to you for letting yourself take a much needed break. We all need a "real break" from time-to-time, and I'm glad you took one finally. You sound refreshed and recharged for 2024 now. The Pocket 3 also looks amazing! That's quite an upgrade from the Pocket 2 I used and loved the past three years. The night mode is significantly better than your Action 3, and I'm glad to be able to see the comparisons you shared. The tracking feature is great for you too since it helps with your style of video. I've never been to Honesdale, but riding the Stourbridge Line is on my (long lol) list of railroads to check out. Hope you get to go back soon to do that. Looking forward to wherever you take us this winter and beyond, have fun!
Great to have your presentations back. BTW, I had family that lived in Starucca, PA just a few miles north on Route 191. I haven 't been back their in decades so enjoyed the trip to Honesdale.
any kind of History makes light of what we were not taught in School but only a partial of what it might have been like in those days - thanks JP and keep safe
The dodge car is a 1946,47 or 48, all 3 year models looked the same, my dad's first car was a 46, looked just like that one from the old family photos I've seen! Glad you had a great break! Great new equipment! Looking forward to this years adventure's! Great first video of the year! Great historical place!👍
Welcome back JP, I'm glad you had a wonderful break! What an incredible camera and the mic works great! I can tell you are already enjoying using the camera with all the fantastic features, the tracking feature is so cool! Honesdale looks like a lovely little town with lots of interesting history, including being the birthplace of the American Railroad. The mural of the locomotive is spectacular, as well as the first mural you showed. Love seeing those little libraries, the Dodge car, the coal wagon, and the Great Wall, just to name a few. It was all very beautiful! Looking forward to all your amazing upcoming videos! Such an awesome first video of 2024, thank you JP! 💙
Happy to see you again ....excited about all the new adventures ahead for '24...Love the new camera .awesome features..Wonderful tour around Honesdale...It does have the cozy small town feel ...comforting . ..loved the history ...Glad you enjoyed your much needed break ....and now looking forward to our weekly visits ..👍💙
JP, I want you to know how much I appreciate your videos! If I haven’t watched all of your videos, I have to be close! I heard you mention someone complained you talk too much, but for me, that is what makes your videos special. There will always be negative comments no matter what anyone does, so please don’t be discouraged by that and keep up the great work!!
Lived near Honesdale for 15 years - your strolling video thru the town made me feel like I was right back there. My husband and I are also rail fans which made viewing much more delightful. The area has so much history, a lot of it centering on the D&H Canal. Add to your list, in nearby Shohola, the Roebling Bridge - an engineering marvel canal bridge over the Delaware. Welcome back! (from sunny Daytona)
Welcome back JP! You were missed! Love the new camera. This was a fun video, much enjoyed! You needed a break to wind down and be with your family. Thanks for sharing, see you in the next video! 👍🥰❤️
Happy New Year, Jayson 😃🎉 I'm glad to hear you had a nice vacation from youtube. Hope the holidays were all wonderful for you and the family. You were missed by me, even though i've been keeping busy. A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking to myself, where's JP... and I'm like, oh yeah, he needs a break.... 😮 WOW, you're new little christmas toy there 👍... Man, pocket gimble technology has really come a long way that does such a better job than the first gen Feiyu Pocket you sent me, The wireless sound is definitely something I wish mine had just been able to add on a microphone. I mean real nice, something definitely needed. The tracking and stabilization really look's awesome as well. The focus only on near or far, well, I don't know leaves a bit to desire for me, but definitely something I could get used to. What's the battery like, how long does a charge last typically? It's really nice to see a little railroad history for your first video back for the 2024 year. Oh, and that old Dodge is a 1946-48, D 24 😉👍
I was there not too long ago. Check out the tiny diner there, they make an awesome Reuben there! There's also an abandoned tail car kinda behind it. Railroad, too.
The Pocket 3 is a fantastic camera JP, the picture quality is fantastic to. I like the low light features, it really makes your videos even better. I love the rail road history, that yellow caboose it nice looking 👍👍👍👍 That is a beautiful small town, i love the architectural. I 👍👍👍👍
sure looks like it will be a great 2024 ahead. Waiting for all the videos coming up. wow that camera and mic are great, great picture and sound for sure.
Enjoyed this video and great to see you back! I loved hearing the bells and thank you for the history of the steam engine you presented. Looking forward to the videos you will be sharing with us! Thank you and God bless! ……..🌝
🎉I am so excited to see what 2024 is going to bring on your channel!! I love listening, learning and coming along with you, it is so interesting!!! Glad you had a refreshing break!!❤
Great to see you back! That new camera is pretty nice! It's been years since I've been to Honesdale. Maybe when I get into Wmspt in the summer, I'll make a trip there.
Beautiful camera. We’re so glad you enjoyed your well deserved time off, though we have to admit we missed you. I’ve been to Honesdale a few times and it’s an interesting town. Thanks for all your hard work and welcome back 🤗
I binge watched all your videos this winter here in menomonie wi but it hasent been much of a winter here , no snow here Love your rail trail videos Jay
Great video as always. Never knew that town had so much history. I'm liking that new camera, might have to look into getting one down the road. I'll be getting back into things after taking a break myself. Looking forward to what you have planned for 2024 and hopefully some more collabs with you.
Thanks Randy. I'm liking the camera, but I need more practice with it. I'm looking forward to our upcoming projects together and enjoy your break as well.
Honesdale is a beautiful small town I've visited numerous times. I'm looking forward to working with you on videos and enjoying your videos. Great video on a mixed bag of topics.
Hello JP it's nice to see you back again thank you for taking us around the town to learn the history I hope you had a great holiday and well-deserved break take care love from upstate New York❤😊🛤🚂🚞
Jay the new camera is awesome the closed restaurant belongs to one of my family relatives haven't been to honesdale in years thanks for that you definitely deserved the break again thanks
We spent a weekend there a year or so ago and ate at the restaurant you were going to go to. It was pretty good ! We also stayed at the hotel Wayne, above the restaurant, our kids thought it was haunted, we thought it was great, and we had a great view of the hill, and loved the train ride
46 minutes in you crossed the RR tracks, that whole area west of main street was a lagoon where the coal barges were loaded from large bunkers that ran down the hillside. Coal cars would dump their loads at the top, and gravity would load the barges.
Enjoyed your video -NOW GET BACK TO WORK !! LOL. On my bucket list to do the train excursion. We have a cabin in that area in Promised Land PA. Going to Honesdale or Hawley was like going to the big city. They also have pedal cars you can ride the rails on .... look forward to future adventures. Must be a nice way to make a living.
Hi Jay. Have you ever been to New Hope PA. Based on my researches and examination on Google street view it is very picturesque town with ample bicycle paths on both side of the Delaware river. It may be a little tourist trappy though similar to Frankenmuth MI or Galina Ill. Your thoughts.
1955 flood was very bad there. You should research and document the 1955 flood. It would make for some great videos. You're already in and doing videos in all the places affected by the floods. Scranton, Roaring brook, the Poconos, Lackawanna river, DL&W Railroad, Susquehanna river etc.
I'll have to finish watching this later, but after a couple of minutes my first thought is that you need to introduce yourself. I'm hearing a lot of "I statements" but I have no idea who you are. Maybe that comes up later?
this was like a giant ad for DJI - I think youtubers overestimate the necessity for all the nerdy camera gear - just get the content out... no lay people notice the quality unless it's really bad
This was painful to watch. I would have turned it off early on if I wasn't so interested in the town but I'm not at all interested in your camera. I wish you had made a separate video about the camera or at least contained that information to one segment of the video that could have been skipped.
Sorry you didn't enjoy it. As I explained in the video, most of my videos arent like this and I don't normally have a new camera to demonstrate, but hopefully you enjoy the other content on my channel. Thanks for the feedback.
@@JPVideos81 Oh I know that. I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed many of your videos and usually I don't mind product reviews in a video but this one was a bit frustrating because I would try to fast-forward past the camera footage and soon enough you would be back enough to talking about the camera. Did you mention that HIghlights Magazine originated in Honesdale or did I skip over that?
