Review: Berghaus Vaskye Jacket Extreme

Normally we do thorough and serious testing of outdoor and actions sports gear during activities for which the product is made. Today was different. Berghaus claimed that their Vaskye jacket with Hydroloft Polyball insulation performed well when wet. We decided to put that to an extreme test.

Good demo and testing of this gear! Just wondering if there is any information on the flammability of this synthetic hydroloft material for example, if we are sitting close to a camp fire?

It’s a long time after review but I have a question. I’ve had other synthetic jackets with loose blown insulation and I found them virtually impossible to wash as the insulation clumps together (even following drying recommendations of low heat in tumble dryer with tennis balls). Have you had success washing the Vaskye jackets?

I’ve had this exact experience with a similar coat with loose blown synthetic insulation - it all clumped and was fit for bin
