For the automatic side mirrors, you can retro fit them and then code them in STAR. I have a 2009 e350. And if you look at my video (think I have like 2 or so) I have them installed. You can buy the mirror motors and you pretty much just take the shell and mirror and put it on the new motor. Then attach via the inside door SAM. You do need to buy a new mirror switch for the driver side. Once you do that just code in STAR and you have power folding mirrors. It's 100% plug and play. One of the better mods I've done to my w211.
Thank you:) I think I will do it at some point. Also, one guy (a MB mechanic) told me he could activate the emergency flashing brake lights via STAR. That’s another thing I want activated.
@@AccentOnCars yep you can do that you can also unlock different settings in the cluster I suggest having him unlock the fuel gallons left which is a nice little handy feature and you can also unlock the date in time to show in the cluster as well. I think you mentioned in your video as well that your passenger side mirror does not tilt down when you put it in reverse, this is also something that can be coded very easily.

The adaptive brake light feature can be activated with the mercedes star diagnostic tool.

The automatic mirrors closing in is part of the package 2 if im not mistaken.
Also that different wheel look is cuz those are 2 pieces wheels similar to the ones on the s65 amg.
As far as I know event P030 in the US didn't have motorized side windows. At least that's what I heard from owners. It is an easy swap if you order the switch and parts from Europe on eBay.
Dipping side mirror in reverse is available in US. I have an E55 with that feature. You need to have fully electric seats AND seat memory. As long as you have those 2 options, you will have the dipped side mirror in reverse. You just need to know how to get it working. There's an option in the cluster settings to turn it on/off.
Flashing hazard lights under harsh braking were not available even in Europe at the time. I believe they got introduced in the W212.
Re: seats and settings. I have fully electric seats: heated, ventilated, adjustable side bolster and cushion, memory, etc. There is no settings for it under the convenience menu and it doesn’t work on 2007 models.
I have seen flashing lights in european models in videos,but not sure.
@@AccentOnCars So firstly, you must have the passenger side mirror adjustment button pressed/clicked in (as if you were about to adjust the mirror on the passenger side). Second, put it in reverse, third, adjust the mirror (passenger side) to where you would like it (so you can see the kerb). Fourth, put the car into PARK or DRIVE and the mirror should move back to the normal position you had it in for driving. That's it. Let me know how you get on.

My 08 E63 does have the feature where the side mirrors adjust in reverse so you can see more of the road, but I certainly wish the mirrors folded in as well at the push of a button.
I also wish my engine was as clean as yours and didn't have 110k miles on it 🥺
Do you know how to enable that feature where it goes down in reverse?
I never cleaned my engine but if you ever decide to clean it use chemicals and don’t spray it with excessive steam mist because water will get under the intake manifold and cause corrosion. Also, 110K is nothing if oil has been changed regularly. I change oil every 4K miles and add 1.5 bottles of Ceratec.
@@AccentOnCars So what I found out is that you press the passenger mirror adjustment button and leave it pressed in. You don't need to adjust the mirror itself, but just have the button pressed as if you would. Then, when you put the car in reverse, it should adjust the mirror automatically ONLY on the passenger side. Doesn't work on the driver's side 🤷🏻♂️ I guess it's meant more for parallel parking where you'd need to see that side a little better.
That tricked worked on my W212 E550, but doesn't work in my 2007 E63. Since it works on your 2008 E63, I can only guess that they had forgotten about this feature and it took them a whole year to remember, LOL.

After talking to several E63 owners I am seeing that 2007 year US model didn’t have it. 2008 and above had the feature enabled. I assume it is a software thing that they forgot to turn on in 2007 models. I am going to dig into this to find if it is possible to turn it on. my w211 e63 has the auto dip mirror in reverse and folding mirrors.
Depending on year and country of origin it varies. 2007 models in US didn’t have those options:(
I enjoyed my 07 E63, obviously very fast, easily hit 130 at top of highway on-ramp (safely, no traffic). Luckily I had an extended full coverage warranty, at 58k needed new tappets on one side which cost about $8000.00, then at 65k needed new 7spd transmission (Had to wait a month for that to arrive from Germany) that bill was $11000.00. So keep this in mind if you purchase an older luxury AMG or even M class BMW. Without my warranty, along with some other minor issues I had, over 21000.00 in repair cost and more than a month at my dealership in repair. Don't get me started on taking a chance on the head bolt issues on the early 07's.
Yeah, I'll purchase another AMG, just newer and always with a warranty. Trust me!
I think the reason you paid those prices was because you were using the dealer for repairs. I shared my ownership experience here ruclips.net/video/-35AH497-2U/видео.html.
The tappets and cams wear out if not properly lubricated. Frequent oil changes using the correct oil and keeping the oil level CLOSE TO MAX level is super important. Tappets themselves cost less than $1000. In almost all the cases 2 out of 4 cams may wear out, NOT all 4. Another $600 or so. The labor is either free if one follows my detailed head bolt DIY video I made or takes it to a competent independent mechanic. It’s 10 hour job, so labor should be between $1000 - $1500 in the states. So $8k was a ripp off.
Re: transmission. Very very rarely the transmission internals fail. Unless you do burn outs every morning. Usually the conductor plate or valve body fails. The cost to sort it out is between $700-3000 depending who does it and what’s broken. I sorted mine out for $2500 by an authorized MB center.
I agree that German cars maintenance is costly, but you shouldn’t pay that stealership premium.

1:45 - 1:47 Functional vents, massive 3 inch quad tail pipes, wide wheel arches, angular ground effects....at this point how much more aggressive do you want an E Class too look?
It has timeless design for sure. In terms of aggressive looks, modern day AMGs and BMW M cars look far more aggressive compared to their non-performance counterparts.
@@AccentOnCars lol I would have to disagree wholeheartedly on that one man. 2013 and newer amgs have gotten faster and softer at the same time.
Don’t get me wrong though, I love this car a lot. And almost always I look back at it after I park it to appreciate it 😎

I think a number of the features you are asking for can be coded via SD. On the sleeper look I disagree. If you want a more aggressive look, this is just the wrong car. My E55 has the E63 bumper, and while I like the look of the E63 bumper, sometimes I am not sure whether I actually prefer it over the E55 bumper, because the E55 looks more sleepery, if you know what I mean. If there is one thing that I do not like in regards to the looks, it is the quad exhaust. I would have preferred a dual or the „business package“ (no tailpipes at all)! I totally agree in the LSD. Ridiculous from Mercedes.

AccentOnCars as said before, not sleepery enough for me! 😂 Another interesting fact though: it is much easier to get the LSD installed in the US than in Germany. First, LSDs are much cheaper, secondly way more shops install them in the US. And then it even seems tricky to get all the maintenance parts in Germany. Daimler does not sell the bearings and seals. There are hardly any online shops who have the parts, SKF sell the seals in the US, but not Germany. This is crazy!
I can find a used LSD from p030 package. Someone parts out their car. Do you know whether the ESP and other software will need to be reprogrammed or can I just plug and play the LSD from a different w211 e63?
AccentOnCars I‘d assume you can just swap. Never heard of issues with ESP, but have not searched for this topic. I would not worry too much about it. On E55s the final drive ratio is different, otherwise that would be the way to go.
Wow i really thought the USA versions were the fullest. But i have had several w211 in LatinAmerica and had everything that you just mention that yours dont have! Good to know
But is funny how you critized MB but you don't have in mind that they were ahead of their time with all those futures. Most models now have everything but that was 20 YEARS AGO (yeah yeah, yours was 2017 ,so 13 for you). So get your head around that for a moment. (Complaining about milliseconds)😄😄 by the way, i had a 2001 C320 Avantgarde and learn how i drove and kept the lowest gear if i was sport mode and keeping the rev up
The US versions generally tend to have been packed nicely, but sometimes we're deprived of certain features that European models have. For example, the intelligent headlights in the newest W213 E-class aren't actually intelligent in the US because the matrix light technology hasn't been approved by the NHTSA or whoever is in charge. But the dealers keep upselling that $2000 feature :)

I think that’s inaccurate. I think even the manual says Comfort, Sport and Manual. When there’s Comfort Standard makes no sense.
@@AccentOnCars i know but its true . In diesel cars its the same but insteade of S/C is S/W and does exatly the same thing and its consider standart / winter.
