NEED HELP PLEASE!!! I got a 88 and I replaced the bushing and locater bolt, and went to put it all back together and now it only shifts 1-4 but will not go into reverse or 5th. But before I replaced the bushing it would shift into reverse and 5th but it will not now! Any help??

Now, How about a video on removing the DASH from an 87.5 Samurai. I really want to figure out why the lights behind the heater controls dont work (actually surprise me every once in a while and come on) and see if I can lubricate the sliders as they are really stiff, one seems almost locked in place. Also, hardly ever used the windshield wiper motor, but got a feeling it could use some lubrication as well.

Not necesserily. Sounds as if the shift linkage is bent rather than any issue with the shift locater bolt. What exactly have you exchanged? Did you rebuild the transmission completely?
I have the same issue. mines stuck in 3rd gear. can't get it out. at first it was hard to get into first and sometimes it would grind a bit. sometimes it would just be hard to get it into first. eventually it would work. now its just stuck in 3rd. won't come out.
I seen a previous vid u did a job on a crankshaft key my fathers jeep got the same problem I’m tryin to buy him a crankshaft any place I can get it it’s a 1996 Suzuki sidekick 1.6 any help I appreciate I’m in NY but the jeep is in Dom Rep
Nice product! However I didn't buy it. All my shifter parts are still good and I've also ordered a shifter with the larger groove by accident, so I've thought how I can use all the parts but still have the upgraded bolt. The solution I came up with is to take a M8 shaft bolt, cut the head of and leave a 9mm shaft and trim down the thread to about 22mm. Then just screw it in from the inside as far as possible put a lock washer and 2 nuts on the part which is sticking out and then screw the whole thing down. The shaft should stick out around 7mm form the inner wall of the shifter housing but if you put in the shifter you'll see anyway if it's the right length.
Tony can you please help answer some questions, will this bolt onto my girlfriends 1.6 L 1996 tracker? And also the aluminum top mounts you sell, it says it’s for the newer model trackers but will they still work also?
I wish there had been a kit for this 25 years ago when I had to do it last.

Should inside the new tower be clean or do you put some
Grease in there before putting the gear stick back in

My 94 samurai transmission has different looking parts
The 1990-95 Samurai will already have the larger bolt shifter
Would that kit work with a '84 4-speed as well?
No it will not work on the sj410 model

your 10millies are actually 6mm bolts with a 1.00 thread. Bolt sizes are determined by thread diameter - not the wrench size!!
If ordering bolts you are correct, but when working on vehicles we call them by head size. 🍻

My 99's gear shifter popped right out of the dang cup and the balls are pretty much floating around all in the bottom 😑 it's just all no bueno 😑
