I just love that Ewan McGregor is into moto guzzi, this obscure Italian motorcycle brand. It's just cool.
And the integral brake was great for a guy I knew in Australia who had lost an arm in a bike accident but kept riding, with some modifications. He moved onto a moto guzzi California. Integral brake worked well for him.

Yah it's ok till you push REALLY hard into a corner and then things become hair whiteningly interesting.
I won't be changing my 88 Le Mans to front only as I want to keep it original.
I just don't take liberties with the braking.

What a beautiful and rare bike! I love how the seat could blends into the tank.

It's a really nice bike, rare for the 90's, as Moto Guzzi seemed to lose there way with their design in this decade, They tried to make them look more modern like the Japanese stuff when really they needed to keep with the traditional look that they eventually went back to with the V7. Even with this Mille GT the fuel tank isn't quite right as the line dips down below the seat. Moto Guzzi's always look their best when the lines are straight. I've actually grown to love the style of this bike and would buy one in an instant given the chance, like all Guzzi's they didn't make them in large numbers. My favourite Guzzi is still the 1000s, just because it has the retro looks of the 750s but a bit more affordable.

It does ride fantastic- mine is the black and gold -after 34 years of loops, and my V11- this is a nice bridge between vintage and modern.

I was after a Mille GT for a couple of months, They ring so close to my SPII 1000, seems like a reasonable stable mate.

I have a few Guzzis. A LeMans 2, a Spada 1000, California 3 and a Monza into which I put a 750 engine. The Spada is my favourite

Moto Guzzi are bikes you don’t buy and add, but you collect. Something about them once you have one in your possession, it’s very difficult to let them go. Be careful because once you buy one, then you’ll buy another, and before you know it you’ll have a small museum collection of Moto Guzzi 🦅 ❤️

Hi Cycle Garden, based on your discussion is buying a Mille GT a gamble due to lack of knowledge and some spares? Also did you re-spray Ewan’s bike? This one looked classic Guzzi maroon rather than the common Mille red. Great video guys! Keep em coming!

I had a Spada 2 which had the same tank and sidepanel set up. The front of the sidepanel clipped into a grommet at the end of the tank on each side but sometimes when going over 80 one of the sidepanels would detach at the front leaving me to try and hold onto it with my leg while I'd try to make it to the side of the road. I lost one once and after retracing my route I found it again, a bit scuffed but otherwise ok.

Stupid question, is the front tire on backwards or is it trick photography? This bike makes me think of in-between old school and modern Era. Looks great.

I had the exact same bike. Got rid of it simply because the 35mm forks could not be trusted on anything but the smoothest of roads, with or without the quality aftermarket steering damper connected. High speed (for this bike, anything over 60mph...) wobbles were scary. Please be careful.

Moto Guzzi have made a Lot of ugly bikes, this red thing is one of them.
I still haven't forgiven them for calling their latest commuter bikes "V7s" - idiots.
