I forgot to tell you! I did compare this to the Snow Angels palette and they are SO SIMILAR, big difference is that I love the Snow Angels, but not this one haha. The tones are not 100% the same but more than one shadow is dupes and the tones are deffo the same. So if you were into the berries and blues, I do prefer the DoC palette of this one.
YES! Honestly, Dose of Colours does better mattes than just about anyone. If you're struggling with this sucker, DEFINITELY get Snow Angels.
That's a really good palette. I recreated the look you did with he blues but I used lucky penny by CPin the center and I got so many compliments. It's such a "frozen-y" look lol

I'm gonna pick up the Dominique Cosmetics Berries & Cream palette. I was looking at the Snow Angels as well. I can't wait to see your 3 looks on this because the Berries and Cream also has a pop of blue.
This is why we see so many similar eyeshadow color schemes from different brands. Even though a lot of people get annoyed because of that, at least we have different formula options. So thanks Angie for pointing out snow Angels as a better option. 😇💙

I felt that in the grwm it didn‘t blend that nice. I saw paulinas review as well and if you guys can‘t make it work there is no hope for normal users!

It doesn't look like either set of artwork to me, and I wish people would stop using teal in palette art if they're not actually going to put it in the palette.

I could be completely wrong, but I'm picking up vibes that you don't like this palette....am I right? Lol x Got to ask though, when did we start going to shops and purchasing different palettes, depending on skill and experience? I don't get why everyone says 'this isn't a palette for a beginner' To me, all makeup is neither beginner, intermediate or advanced. It doesn't matter whether you're well versed in applying eyeshadow or not, it should work for anyone.

Well I definitely think some shadows lend better to certain techniques and brushes- but it shouldn’t be that difficult for sure!

I love Nabla, not only because I love supporting Italian brands, but also because of the quality of the products and the esthetics of the brand, as well as the sheer talent of the art director. I currently own 15 of their eyeshadow singles, but the palettes really do not speak to me. I think the color story is mostly boring, and if you say that the quality is not on par with the single shadows then it really makes no sense for me to buy the palettes.
I am just sad that, especially with the recent launch on Sephora and before that on BeautyBay, the palettes seem to be the product that they are pushing the most, together with the liquid lipsticks (which I think are a bit overpriced for the amount of product you get). I wish they released more Diva Crime lipsticks: I love their formula, the existing shades and the packaging, and the price is actually great.
But I still love the brand, and in general their new releases are stunning.
The Diva Crime Lipsticks are AMAZING! They are light, non drying and long lasting.

That's weird. Usually we have quite the same opinion on products, but this time it's completely different. I absolutely enjoyed this. This palette didn't leave my desk since I got it. In the end I really appreciate your honesty, cause we are all different, aren't we?
Thanks for the review, I've heard that Majorelle was bad but I was still on the fence about this palette. This absolutely confirms that I will continue buying the singles but not this since the blues were one of the reasons I wanted this.
Tangerina sugarpill velocity is really similar and performs well!
Great review, straight to the point and honest. I saw your GRWM video and blue did look disappointing, although I thought that the final look was very beautiful, you always make it work!

The packaging is beautiful and some of the colours too. Subculture is a difficult palette for me to work with. I love the greens and blues in that one but I find it works best with other palettes I have instead of standing alone. Hopefully Poison Garden will work for some people!

I don`t own this one but I have two other palettes. Mattes in them are really nice, I would say "common user friendly", shimmers- colours are very beautiful, they swatch beautifully, on eyes too but they have some glitter which falls during the day, it`s not that bad because this glitter is very small but I don`t wear them on sunny days. Better apply them with finger. Overall, I like these palettes. When I saw palette`s name "Poison Garden" I thought "finally greens". Very disappointing that they aren`t there. This palette looks like two of them together with some new shades in addition. But plus is that looks very beautiful.

Well this scares me :) I'm expecting my very 1st Nabla order, & this is part of it (along w/a load of singles)...I'm in the States, & I doubt I'll wanna pay for returns to Italy. Can't wait to see your 3 looks vid, for help to make it work. Maybe I'll just have to mix in the deep-blue matte single I ordered, instead of Majorelle? I still can't believe how much that shade deepens & fades, based on your try-on...you could visibly see it darken by the second.
I know Bad Habit has a bad rep for a lot of reasons, however they just put out a really great palette that reminds me of this one. I just got my Pretty Poison from them today and it's a true pink and purple palette. Just swatched it and it's such a refreshing color story, to me.
I loved mine, but I love it more when I pair it with other, thicker formulas to keep from getting muddy. It’s such a versatile palette color wise!

I really love Nabla as a brand. Some of their singles are definitely among my favorite shadows. HOWEVER... I can't figure out how to make their new matt formula work (whether it is a single or in a palette)! I feel that as soon as I put the shadows on my eyelids they oxidize and turn a muddy greyish color, no matter what the original color was. And I need to blend and build and blend and build for an hour to make them look decent. I don't know what's going on with their pressed-pigment/super-matt formula, but I don't like it. So I'll skip this palette. Thank you, Angelica for this review! You're awesome as always! 💜

I’m so glad you did this review. I was going back a forth on this one, didn’t try any palettes from Nabla yet (single shadows are lovely) and I was thinking if getting this one, but I don’t „need” it... so was a bit hesitant. Now I know I can just skip it. Thanks!

Can you do a build your own Poison Garden palette video with dupes - maybe using some Nabla single shadows? I want to try Nabla so bad, maybe since their single shadows are good that's the way to go?
That blue swatch looks beautiful but I believe that it turns muddy. I've only seen negative reviews about it!!

Oh interesting, now I am even more intrigued to get mine and try out. Daniel is their art director as far as I know (he's the one doing tutorials on their channel as well). He said to expect something interesting and green in 2019, so we will see about that. Considering formula: they were saying it's the same as their singles, the super matte ones 🤔 the problem is that I didn't have their matte singles but I adore the other two palettes, they work the best on my wrinkly eyes in terms of blendability. According to me its not the same as the singles, and I have tried all their formulas. But if they come out with something superinterresting maybe I'll give them another shot :P
I am always interested in nabla pallettes when they show the packaging but it's always disappointing when the shadows are shown
I feel like Nabla singles are where its at based on reviews. I haven't made a purchase from them, but when I do I want to make my own palette instead of buying their premade ones so far.
Glad I picked up the Snow Angel palette instead of this one! I've been wanting to try Nabla but don't get why their palettes are different quality than their singles.

The "Majorelle" looks a lot like Sugarpill's "Velocity" in the thumbnail. I wonder if that would make a serviceable dupe?

I'm definitely not wasting my money on this palette based on the color scheme and the quality alone. I rather get the Snow Angels palette instead and I'm not even interested in that one either. If I get any money or gift cards for Christmas that can be spent on makeup then I may grab one or all of the Urban Decay on the run mini palettes coming out. I may grab one or all in the first few months after they are released. I do want to see them in person before I make up my mind fully on buying any of them or not.
Wow..while I do hear you having negative thoughts on new makeup releases, I hardly hear you negative about an actual palette. Thank you for doing this review. I’m in a makeup slump, and my family is asking me what I want for Christmas. I’ve thought about the Dreamy palette forever, and that might be the one, but I’m still not sure. I really want either a true green palette or true purple palette, but all the ones that claim to be that have limited numbers of those shades with neutrals, or pinks instead of purples. Ugh..first world problems lol. 😊💜
Seeing that palette all swatched out I really don’t like it. It looks much prettier in the palette.

Honesty is the best policy.
I just received their single eyeshadow from the feather edition, Chérie Shape, and it is such a gorgeous purple plummy shade! Blends so amazingly and is super pigmented 😻 I do struggle a bit with the shade Blue Velvet though, do you have that one?
I love my blue velvet but with that said a blue will never blend into your skin the same way a more neutral shade will, because our skincolor is normally not blue toned :)
I was so excited for this palette, but I’m glad I decided to wait. After I saw Paulina’s review, I was waiting to see how it worked for you. So disappointing ☹️

I also had a bad experience with the Soul Blooming palette :-( I was super excited to try that palette out, but it gives me the same problems this one gives you, creasing, bad blending, etc

I feel like if you were struggling to make it work then it must be pretty bad cuz you can make just about anything work👌

Even those swatches looks... Not good...
I have tried few nabla's single eyeshadows and didnt like one of them. Well I had glitters and shimmers - even on glitter glue didnt stick. Or use brush? Impossible. They were sooo silicony... And if I used them with finger they created that anoing film on top of the pan whitch I had to scratch off. Just not for me... Only one I still have is Pegasus - satin light gold to lila duochome. Unique enought to forgive that I have to scratch the top layer every few uses... And those arent even cheap in my counry (almost 10€ for each!!!) Now Iam hessitent to try anything else from nabla... 😭 But at same time I would love to!!! 😣
Oh no! I have tried alot of their singles and I really enjoy mine but it's all different preferences and its so nice to hear others point of view :)
Thanks for these review! I was so on the fence about buying this. Now I know that it is truly not worth it. I also find that the first two palettes arent anywhere near as good as the singles.. disappointed...
I think that Soul Blooming is their best palette. I wasn't going to buy Poison Garden, because it looks like a mix of two previous palletes. I've already have Dreamy and I like it but it also isn's so begginer friendly, for me it's not for everyday use. I tried Soul Blooming and I'm going to buy it soon! Poison Garden is so hyped in Poland, it's one of the biggest released this fall and everyone seems to love it.
What would be your favourite matt cobalt eyeshadow? Could you recommend any single in this shade?

Is the we.makeup the same? I think you liked the matte there more (except for the matte teal)
Yeah I like the we makeup mattes more :) They are not the same formula to me.
Oh thanks a lot. I would like you to film a video about your favorite formulas, with 1-2 brands that make your favorite metallics, favorite mattes, favorite glitters. So bummed this isn't a great palette. It looks so pretty, but I've seen so many negative reviews on it!
I saw you using with this and I thought it looked horrible ....your techniques are amazing.The dark cranberry and the blue were total shit and it looked gritty and unmoveable
'Majorelle' and 'Berry Bite' seem like the prettiest shades in the palette. It's a shame that they don't perform well.
Random question to any native English speaker; I hear Angelica say “according to me” sometimes, I do as well. However, I have a vague memory of my old English teacher telling us that nothing can be “according to me”, is that correct?
Oh and the palette, i like the colors and I’ve never bought anything from nabla but I guess I’ll try something else from them
Generally we would say "in my opinion " Usually according to refers to another person or source of information you're siting. For instance: According to Angelica the Nabla palette isn't worth purchasing but in my opinion you should try it. ( Not really that was just an example of sentence structure)
Ah ok, that makes sense, thank you! How does it sound when you hear someone say it? Does it sound dumb or silly or does it irritate you? It has become a bad habit so even now when I’m aware I might still use that sentence on accident lol.
I know people say it whdn they refer to themselves in third person sometimes but i agree with the comment above. Its generally when reffering to someone else not you
@@olivia5359 it doesn't bother me at all & I don't personally think anything of it. I think it's pretty amazing that people can learn to read, write & speak English so well when it's not their first language. I would have a difficult time learning another language & hope people would be patient while I was learning & accepting when I didn't get certain grammatical things perfect. So no worries, we know what you mean :)
I’m kind of disappointed because I have a couple of nabla singles in the matte formula and they are brilliant. And I really like the color scheme of this palette. 🙁

DAT thumbnail 😆😆😆 so, just saying eh, because I also love Nabla, but didn't buy this palette and not planning to do it... the "blue issue" was/is also causing drama in the Italian beauty community, the only thing I can say is that in their presentation video (they have eng subs) the Art Director of Nabla said that is a peculiar shade and he suggests how it works best... I don't remember well because I was not gonna buy it so didn't care...😅 but just in case you want to try out how he suggested to use it 😉 💖
I usually think that if a shadow needs a special instruction it probably means its not that good :P
This review makes me think of Kiko so much! They're individual shadows, at least when swatched, seem good, but the palettes are terrible :/
Aw, I'm so sorry you dislike it so much. It worked fine for me except for Majorelle, but it might be because we have different makeup and application styles. It's not very user friendly, agreed!
Yeah it doesnt mix at all with my technique, its so hard to blend and I prefer pretty much any other formula over this one haha :P
Yay. I like when people give negative reviews to palettes...there's way too much eyeshadow out there. It's one less thing to want.

Hm. Well, guess I'm not getting this after all. Jkissa said she liked it but I wasn't a 100% convinced anyway. In their own release video the guy from Nabla teased that their next palette is gonna be something green... I don't have any of their palettes yet, only singles, and until they make palettes the same quality as their singles it's gonna stay that way.

I just got a job, and i wanted to get this pallete on my first paycheck, and i had 3 paychecks until today and still had no ocassion to buy it, i would spend my money on smth else.. and now i see this and think that was my instinct telling me not to buy it... dissapointed tho..i really liked the color scheme
If you wanna try Nabla Id say try their singles instead, they are truly good :) Happy I could help a bit
I think the main problem with nabla eyeshadows formula is that they can't make colourful shades. They do nice nude matte shades like brownish, mauve, caramel, rust, taupe... and they do nice shimmer shades like copper, rose gold.... but they can not make colourful shades. They should improve those formulas and sell those shades only if those shades are perfect. I have some of the colourful singles and i don't like them.
I have some colorful shadows from them that are amazing, like Eresia, Lotus and New Heaven.
@@AngelicaNyqvist I have the shimmery green like babylon, atmosphere and they are not good at all. And also the purple shimmer in the dreamy palette wasn't a good formula

I dont think they are tiny, they feel bigger than the ABH pansizes in their palettes :)

I have been wanting to try Nabla but this will not be it. The color that drew me in was the blue. Definitely a no go. Maybe I will try to get some singles. It will not be this year

I don't understand why it's such a big deal to have packaging that doesn't represent the inside of the palette? Surely, people will look at the inside before buying. If a person likes neutrals, does that mean all of the makeup they own has to have beige packaging? I apologize if this comes off in a mean way, I just genuinely don't get it.
I personally just like when they match :) And it's pretty irritating in the cases where the colorscheme of the packaging is prettier than the actual colorscheme of the palette :)
I also think a lot of the reason that people get irritated about that, is b/c brands are sneak-peeking palette names & art (sometimes months) before you see the actual color-scheme. In this case, I don't think it's unreasonable to have expected green in a palette w/green in so much of the cover art & garden in the name; & people get disappointed/annoyed when reality doesn't match their expectations.
Of course everyone has expectations,but in my opinion packaging isn't a promise of something :)
At first glance it puts me in mind if one of the LAROC palettes especially the ( unzipped desert dusk ) they are definitely NOT identical it just reminds me if it ♥️💛💗💜💚💖💙

I love their singles so much, I just dont feel they are translating that formula into their palettes too good.
This concept w the name is same of the dumb level of hudas "nude" palette.. its called poison garden but has no single shade of green but pinks n blue...
I have always wanted to try Nabla but the swatches they provide look so fake and unrealistic and I’m scared that the colors won’t be true to the swatches
I hate when you're SO excited to get a makeup product and it dosen't work. For me it was Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation. It made me look like I was 80 years old. I discovered that day wrinkles I didn't even know I had. And it went oompa loompa on me. I tried 6 different primers to get it not to do that. And Makeup shouldn't have to be that much work. I'm sorry It didn't work for you that really sucks.
Ugh it's a big fat FRUSTRATE from me. Out of all the Nabla palette releases this one is most up my alley (despite the disappointing colours when compared with the packaging.....) But yeah if N*either you or Paulina are impressed I'm damn sure I won't be able to do anything with it

This is my first time buying a novel palette and I do remember reading in the description that this was a pressed pigment palette so I kind of figured this was going to be somewhat of similar version of like a James Charles and morphe Palette I did use it yesterday for the first time and I liked it a lot I didn't use any of the Blues so I don't know if maybe I'll have issues there but I figured you would love it and I'm really sorry that it didn't work out for you💜
I just want to say that James Charles did get the part of pressed pigments wrong though and he has admitted that :) Being a pressed pigment or not has nothing to do with the formula but instead that some shades have dye in them that are not considered safe by the FDA and therefor cannot be called eyeshadow. They are then called pressed pigment :) Here in EU we have different rules and those dyes can be used in eyeshadows and still be called eyeshadows. Just want to point that out.

I thought that being a pressed pigment they had to be used differently and they had to be packed on rather than Blended Rydal straight away and I know I've been watching your videos for a long time and I know that you work with a lot of colors so I don't know I I'm really sad because I live in the US and I spent a lot of money on this palette it took 3 weeks almost to get here from beautybay and I really hope that I do end up getting good use out of it because as I said I've used a lot of the shades except the blue ones but those were probably the most eye-catching and the most exciting so I probably will try them today and see how they go💜💜💜
Id say I try and work with any brights that way, or colors that doesnt naturally blend into my skin color, like a matte pastel blue :) The pat vs swipe works best with those kinda shades :)
