In order to get the song out of your head, sing the whole song until the end of it, or sing the part you have stuck in your head and slow down as if you’re ending the song. I think you're right though because when it's a song it's always the same section over and over that you end up humming or singing. I shall try this in future by looking up the song online and listening to the whole thing to see if it works. Calling out her nose contour (unless done rudely) only benefits her. Having someone point out a mistake can help you to not make the same one in the future or push you to reevaluate and try a different approach.

Yes there are some people just saying it to be mean out of some insecurity but most of the time when trying out new techniques or products we're not 100% sure how we feel about it so we ask for opinions from friends. Same as when clothes shopping. That's why sometimes Tati will ask what we think about certain products.

And when that authority makes any mistake in the mind of the viewer (and has an open channel of communication), people will feel the need to be vocal about it. Can't really do anything about that... Just ignore and move on. She's absolutely right about the lights - cam lights make things look totally different. So I guess I'm just saying people will comment, and hopefully Tati will move past those comments and keep doing her thing with positivity in mind :)

When I cannot shut off my brain at night, I put on a TV show that is mostly talking, like Law & Order, and I close my eyes and listen to the show. By focusing of the dialogue in the show, it helps me to stop the "inward" dialogues going on in my head. It also stops me from focusing on the "I CAN'T FALL ASLEEP" thoughts. I will fall asleep without knowing it. Give it a try!
This is the ONLY way my boyfriend can fall asleep, he listens to ESPN or other sports shows and he’s OUT, but if the tv isn’t on he takes hours to fall asleep 😅
See I am completely opposite. If the room isn't completely silent, my brain will focus on whatever noise is in the background, such as a tv show like law & order SVU, and I will lay there for forever with my eyes shut just listening to every single word they are saying and picturing the damn scenes in my head. lol Kind of sucks too because my husband NEEDS the tv to be up so he can fall asleep. I usually just let the tv be turned up for awhile until he falls asleep (takes like 5 mins) and then I turn it all the way down as soon as I hear him breathing heavy.

Girl I do the exact samething when I go to bed. Except I stress about something I said or done 20 years ago. Its by far worse when I know I have to get up early. It helps me somewhat to count my breaths and try not to think of anything.

I'm on my second month of Halo and my skin has never looked better. Trust me girl, you DO need Halo. I had terrible cystic acne on my chin, to the point where it would hurt to smile. Since being on Halo, all my acne has cleared and I haven't had a break out since.
oh my husband snores and i couldn't get any sleep until he got a mouth-guard for nighttime and now we BOTH get a better nights sleep ...they really work!!!! i know it's hard having that conversation but i suffered thru 20 years of him snoring and it only gets worse ...get him one you'll thank me!!
Dru Champion-Payne what mouthgaurd and where did you get it? I need one for my husband! I kick and push him all night to roll over so he will stop snoring and that lasts all of 20 minutes.
My wonderful hubby had to pass the mouth guard and go straight to a C-pap machine and WOW.... There is 0 noise from him! Well maybe just the nice hum from the machine, but that is it. He also is way more awake all day long now, because he is actually getting oxygen all night long. It has really changed our lives. 👍😁

Hi Tati. My boyfriend sleeps terribly and I got him some aromatherapy sleep lotion from bath and body works and he went from sleeping an average of 2hrs a night to about 6 hrs a night. You should give it a try!!!
Tati do you do work in bed ever? Like even go through emails and stuff? I read online that if you’re constantly working in bed your brain eventually starts to associate being in bed with working and being awake instead of relaxing or sleeping. I used allllways do school work in my bed because it’s comfy and I could never ever fall asleep until like 2-3 am almost every night🙄 sooo I started strictly only working at my kitchen table or at my desk in my room and I can honestly say I get tired at a more reasonable time and my sleep is MUCH better.
this and no phones/screens at least an hour before bed. And turning the lights down a little and having a set night routine that you do every night really helps
I have heard this, and I’ve also heard that you should only associate your bed with sleeping, so it’s even better if you don’t lay around in your bed all evening watching Tv, etc. I’m going to start watching TV in another room and then, when I get tired, go get in bed and read or something (not screen related!) til I fall asleep. Not Your Mother's Mom oh my God, I get so frustrated because I can’t sleep, I assault my husband over the snoring. It sounds like a damn freight train. I have a lot of friends who sleep in separate rooms over it. What ear plugs do you use? I’ve even tried the waxy kind that form to the ear to try to block it out as much as humanly possible. I have a high stress job and it’s easy to bring those issues home, especially when all is quiet and your brain decides it’s a great time for your worst moments highlight reels. This time of the year as well....wonder day light savings time messes with my sleep cycles. I have tried a method to encourage positive/directed thinking. As you lay down, start intentionally thinking about a positive experience (time with family, meeting your significant other, finding your perfect shade) and truly try to remember how you felt. It helps to stop random thoughts and positive emotions. Love your channel. Hope you feel better.
When I have insomnia I read random Wikipedia pages until I fall asleep. Or I watch boring documentaries on RUclips . I’ve been watching a lot of docs on British royalty. Elizabeth I wore A LOT of makeup y’all. 😴😴😴
Alyssa it was a must back then because the more makeup you used, the more you needed it! Their makeup destroyed the skin and health over all. Also there’s a conspiracy she was actually a man in drag because she died as a child and it was hidden from Henry VIII. There’s a documentary about it on RUclips. La colors actually just came out with a whole bunch of other stuff, their body/face loose shimmer is really a really good glittery but not too glittery highlight or eyeshadow!
Annabelle makes a beautiful liquid highlight too “Perfect Gleam custom highlight drops” 😍😍 I’m really fair (the lightest or one of the lightest in most foundations I’ve tried) and I use aurora under or in my foundation sometimes, as long as I don’t use too much , or on my cheeks in a light amount or mixed with a lighter one
I have insomnia as well at times. What helps me is to say to myself “ok I’m going to lay here and relax and try not to stress, my bed is a stress free zone.. if it takes me awhile to fall asleep that’s ok. Rest and relaxation is also good for my body” laying there stressing and looking at the clock makes it worse. It maybe easier said than done not to stress though and that’s ok too. It will take a few try’s before you really relax from this method😊

I take two melatonins and take a hot bath then just lay down and act like I don’t care if don’t get sleep that night that which is a LIE but it helps calm my mind and fall into a natural sleep. If I keep stressing about how I can’t fall asleep and start getting frustrated and mad then I have realized it takes me even longer to fall asleep.

You "sleep" the way I "sleep." Something that helps me is 4-7-8: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and exhale all of it out of mouth in 8. I do that 3 times and I find it helps more often than not. The only way I know how to get a song out of my head is to listen to that song. Otherwise, it just plays the chorus on loop in my head. If it makes you feel any better, I have the Burger King christmas song in my head and it's driving me nuts. Ding fries are done! Ding fries are done!
Kandis I have insomnia and that doesn’t work at all😫😫 I’ve done it SOO many times but it doesn’t work!! Sometimes I try counting backwards from 100 and I literally end up doing it like 5 times and I’m still wide awake by the end of it
Depending on the level of ambient noise that you (and anyone sharing the room with you) find relaxing to fall asleep to, I sometimes find that the "Sleep with me" podcast helps. It sounds weird, but it may help.
@@ishane Oh man, I know how frustrating that can be. I have insomnia as well and my suggestion works for me sometimes, but definitely not all the time. There are nights I just lay there with my mind racing as I watch the clock and do the math of how much less time I have to get in some sleep. Those nights can suck it. I’m from Australia and we are SO far behind with drug store make up, and it’s honestly not as cheap as it is in America, I use the same concealer and it’s usually $17-$19 not on special, and we have just got the Maybelline loose setting powder which has been out for ages in America, but it’s ‘new’ here.

I too live in Australia and I watch a lot of Tati's videos and yes a lot of stuff she mentions we haven't got over here as yet ... our minimum wage over here is roughly 18$per hour ... and if you have a qualification you can demand 28$ and upwards ... also if ya can get a job in the mines as a cleaner, you would be on 38$ per hour and upwards, not bad hey ... I'd just love to get some of the products Tati mentions, instead of having to send to America all the time .... Grrrrrr ☺️

Maybe you are already doing this but I will share just in case. I too have trouble sleeping from time to time. Here is what works for me before bed: relaxing yoga (super chill), no screens, write down everything that is rolling around in your head, no sugar and carbs, and give yourself permission to let go (of your day, your future, your past, etc.). Take it or leave it, just wanted to share:) :) :)

Lucky! That doesn't work for me. My whole family has currently been infected with a song for more than a week. We try not to sing it, but we always catch someone humming it. Then we have to hear it and the cycle begins. 🤣🤣🤣😓
Tati I feel you with that no sleep thing. I can't fall asleep but when I do without fail I wake up at 4 AM. So I most nights I get 3 or less hours of sleep and I have to go to school and work and practice and I'm exhausted but can't go to bed

really? ive been playing with eyeshadows lately an the only color i havent done is yellow because there arent any yellow eyeshadows but im also a golden undertone so idk if itd look too monochrome or something
@@jennytam9704 I'm as close to yellow as you can get skintone-wise-- the only mustard and yellows that have shown up on me are the Yellow Blush from Inglot ($$ tho) and two of the transition shades from Wet'n'Wild: The top one in Comfort Zone and the bottom one in Rose in the Air.
@@jennytam9704 a good way to get the yellows really register om your skin is to start with a white base... either a primer or a white highlighter stick... ( i do the same thing with white nail polish under colored nail polish so that the color appears on nials as it does in the bottle)
I work for Walgreens and the only new stuff we’ve gotten in so far is for Revlon. I know a ton of new stuff is coming cause of all the clearance on the wall. It just hasn’t came in yet. It’s still a little early.
My other half snores, absolutely did my head in. Like open mouth snore... I ended up getting this spray for when he's snoring. He won't use it because it tastes disgusting so i wait until he's asleep to srapy it in his mouth 😂
jessica wood this cracked me up.....I try to physically push my husband onto his side, but he’s 6ft and 230 and I’m only 5”5” and no strength. He has a Cpap but won’t use it.

I’m with you on the drugstore comment… The only drugstore near me is Walgreens they have the oldest versions of all the products. Nothing I see reviewed on RUclips can be found in their store. This has to lead to lost sales because now I don’t even bother shopping for make up at Walgreens. what’s going on? They even have crappy gift sets this Christmas!
Try listening to rain sounds, we use our daughters noise maker and I sometimes get the worst insomnia too, but it helps relax your mind. Also my aunty sent me Royal Jelly which is supposed to give you natural energy and also helps with so many other things in your body it’s the best and very expensive , read about it and try it Tati or anyone else reading this!! I trust only you for drugstore makeup tips.
You are not the only one. I have been suffering insomnia a few weeks now and with a busy schedule. Probably the time zone changes, and seasons etc. I hope it gets better for you soon!

I get every palette they put out right when it releases :) What a lot of folks don't know is that Kohl's carries the BH Cosmetics line and they have periodically amazing sales on all the palettes! I got a few of the 120 color palettes for $10 at Kohl's!

How do you use the take me back to brazil? I absolutely hate it it is chalky, not close to pigmented and the shimmers aren’t that shimmery. Did i get a bad palette or is there a certain way to use it because everyone seems to love it.
Talar Mustafa perhaps you got a bad palette. I don’t do anything too special, I use shape tape as a base and set it with a matte nude color shadow from the Milani mattes palette and then just go in. B2B definitely needs to be layered! Which some people may hate. But I much prefer something buildable
Tati! Your insomnia is my insomnia. Lately, my brain has been drawing out Train's "50 Ways To Say Goodbye" like it's some emotionally heavy Broadway ballad, only the lyrics are P.O.D's "Here Comes the Boom." I don't know why my head is doing this to me. It's not even a real thing, so I can't cleanse by listening to it.
Melatonin doesn't always help. It actually made my insomnia worse. I only got an extra hour of sleep each night but kept falling asleep during the day. During tests, at service, P.E., etc.
Have your husband get a sleep study done. he may have sleep apnea. Or throw him out of the house. Either way. As for insomnia, get a lightbox for the morning. It's weird, but if you get SAD it really helps

This is the ONLY way my boyfriend can fall asleep, he listens to ESPN or other sports shows and he’s OUT, but if the tv isn’t on he takes hours to fall asleep 😅
See I am completely opposite. If the room isn't completely silent, my brain will focus on whatever noise is in the background, such as a tv show like law & order SVU, and I will lay there for forever with my eyes shut just listening to every single word they are saying and picturing the damn scenes in my head. lol Kind of sucks too because my husband NEEDS the tv to be up so he can fall asleep. I usually just let the tv be turned up for awhile until he falls asleep (takes like 5 mins) and then I turn it all the way down as soon as I hear him breathing heavy.

I'm on my second month of Halo and my skin has never looked better. Trust me girl, you DO need Halo. I had terrible cystic acne on my chin, to the point where it would hurt to smile. Since being on Halo, all my acne has cleared and I haven't had a break out since.

oh my husband snores and i couldn't get any sleep until he got a mouth-guard for nighttime and now we BOTH get a better nights sleep ...they really work!!!! i know it's hard having that conversation but i suffered thru 20 years of him snoring and it only gets worse ...get him one you'll thank me!!
Dru Champion-Payne what mouthgaurd and where did you get it? I need one for my husband! I kick and push him all night to roll over so he will stop snoring and that lasts all of 20 minutes.
My wonderful hubby had to pass the mouth guard and go straight to a C-pap machine and WOW.... There is 0 noise from him! Well maybe just the nice hum from the machine, but that is it. He also is way more awake all day long now, because he is actually getting oxygen all night long. It has really changed our lives. 👍😁

Hi Tati. My boyfriend sleeps terribly and I got him some aromatherapy sleep lotion from bath and body works and he went from sleeping an average of 2hrs a night to about 6 hrs a night. You should give it a try!!!

Tati do you do work in bed ever? Like even go through emails and stuff? I read online that if you’re constantly working in bed your brain eventually starts to associate being in bed with working and being awake instead of relaxing or sleeping. I used allllways do school work in my bed because it’s comfy and I could never ever fall asleep until like 2-3 am almost every night🙄 sooo I started strictly only working at my kitchen table or at my desk in my room and I can honestly say I get tired at a more reasonable time and my sleep is MUCH better.

I have heard this, and I’ve also heard that you should only associate your bed with sleeping, so it’s even better if you don’t lay around in your bed all evening watching Tv, etc. I’m going to start watching TV in another room and then, when I get tired, go get in bed and read or something (not screen related!) til I fall asleep. I figure it’s worth a shot, and it makes sense!
I work in my bed but I have the opposite problem. I just end up passing out and not getting work done.

Not Your Mother's Mom oh my God, I get so frustrated because I can’t sleep, I assault my husband over the snoring. It sounds like a damn freight train. I have a lot of friends who sleep in separate rooms over it. What ear plugs do you use? I’ve even tried the waxy kind that form to the ear to try to block it out as much as humanly possible. Send Help! Lol

I have a high stress job and it’s easy to bring those issues home, especially when all is quiet and your brain decides it’s a great time for your worst moments highlight reels. This time of the year as well....wonder day light savings time messes with my sleep cycles. I have tried a method to encourage positive/directed thinking. As you lay down, start intentionally thinking about a positive experience (time with family, meeting your significant other, finding your perfect shade) and truly try to remember how you felt. It helps to stop random thoughts and positive emotions. Love your channel. Hope you feel better.
When I have insomnia I read random Wikipedia pages until I fall asleep. Or I watch boring documentaries on RUclips . I’ve been watching a lot of docs on British royalty. Elizabeth I wore A LOT of makeup y’all. 😴😴😴
Alyssa it was a must back then because the more makeup you used, the more you needed it! Their makeup destroyed the skin and health over all. Also there’s a conspiracy she was actually a man in drag because she died as a child and it was hidden from Henry VIII. There’s a documentary about it on RUclips. I don’t believe it but it’s interesting to watch.
When I can’t fall asleep I watch Bob Ross painting videos. His voice is so calming to me and puts me right to sleep.

Annabelle makes a beautiful liquid highlight too “Perfect Gleam custom highlight drops” 😍😍 I’m really fair (the lightest or one of the lightest in most foundations I’ve tried) and I use aurora under or in my foundation sometimes, as long as I don’t use too much , or on my cheeks in a light amount or mixed with a lighter one

I have insomnia as well at times. What helps me is to say to myself “ok I’m going to lay here and relax and try not to stress, my bed is a stress free zone.. if it takes me awhile to fall asleep that’s ok. Rest and relaxation is also good
for my body” laying there stressing and looking at the clock makes it worse. It maybe easier said than done not to stress though and that’s ok too. It will take a few try’s before you really relax from this method😊

I take two melatonins and take a hot bath then just lay down and act like I don’t care if don’t get sleep that night that which is a LIE but it helps calm my mind and fall into a natural sleep. If I keep stressing about how I can’t fall asleep and start getting frustrated and mad then I have realized it takes me even longer to fall asleep.

You "sleep" the way I "sleep." Something that helps me is 4-7-8: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and exhale all of it out of mouth in 8. I do that 3 times and I find it helps more often than not. The only way I know how to get a song out of my head is to listen to that song. Otherwise, it just plays the chorus on loop in my head. If it makes you feel any better, I have the Burger King christmas song in my head and it's driving me nuts. Ding fries are done! Ding fries are done!
Kandis I have insomnia and that doesn’t work at all😫😫 I’ve done it SOO many times but it doesn’t work!! Sometimes I try counting backwards from 100 and I literally end up doing it like 5 times and I’m still wide awake by the end of it
Depending on the level of ambient noise that you (and anyone sharing the room with you) find relaxing to fall asleep to, I sometimes find that the "Sleep with me" podcast helps. It sounds weird, but it may help.
@@ishane Oh man, I know how frustrating that can be. I have insomnia as well and my suggestion works for me sometimes, but definitely not all the time. There are nights I just lay there with my mind racing as I watch the clock and do the math of how much less time I have to get in some sleep. Those nights can suck it. I’m from Australia and we are SO far behind with drug store make up, and it’s honestly not as cheap as it is in America, I use the same concealer and it’s usually $17-$19 not on special, and we have just got the Maybelline loose setting powder which has been out for ages in America, but it’s ‘new’ here.
That really sucks.... But, our national minimum wage is $7.25...
I’m in the UK and we don't have the maybelline fit me as a loose powder, only as compacts! It is so annoying.

Maybe you are already doing this but I will share just in case. I too have trouble sleeping from time to time. Here is what works for me before bed: relaxing yoga (super chill), no screens, write down everything that is rolling around in your head, no sugar and carbs, and give yourself permission to let go (of your day, your future, your past, etc.). Take it or leave it, just wanted to share:) :) :)

@@jennytam9704 I'm as close to yellow as you can get skintone-wise-- the only mustard and yellows that have shown up on me are the Yellow Blush from Inglot ($$ tho) and two of the transition shades from Wet'n'Wild: The top one in Comfort Zone and the bottom one in Rose in the Air.
@@jennytam9704 a good way to get the yellows really register om your skin is to start with a white base... either a primer or a white highlighter stick... ( i do the same thing with white nail polish under colored nail polish so that the color appears on nials as it does in the bottle)

I’m with you on the drugstore comment… The only drugstore near me is Walgreens they have the oldest versions of all the products. Nothing I see reviewed on RUclips can be found in their store. Try listening to rain sounds, we use our daughters noise maker and I sometimes get the worst insomnia too, but it helps relax your mind.
Also my aunty sent me Royal Jelly which is supposed to give you natural energy and also helps with so many other things in your body it’s the best and very expensive , read about it and try it Tati or anyone else reading this!! I trust only you for drugstore makeup tips.

I get every palette they put out right when it releases :) What a lot of folks don't know is that Kohl's carries the BH Cosmetics line and they have periodically amazing sales on all the palettes! I got a few of the 120 color palettes for $10 at Kohl's!

How do you use the take me back to brazil? I absolutely hate it it is chalky, not close to pigmented and the shimmers aren’t that shimmery. Did i get a bad palette or is there a certain way to use it because everyone seems to love it.
Talar Mustafa perhaps you got a bad palette. I don’t do anything too special, I use shape tape as a base and set it with a matte nude color shadow from the Milani mattes palette and then just go in. B2B definitely needs to be layered! Which some people may hate. But I much prefer something buildable

Tati! Your insomnia is my insomnia. Lately, my brain has been drawing out Train's "50 Ways To Say Goodbye" like it's some emotionally heavy Broadway ballad, only the lyrics are P.O.D's "Here Comes the Boom." I don't know why my head is doing this to me. It's not even a real thing, so I can't cleanse by listening to it.

Have you thought of trying Melatonin for your insomnia?
Melatonin doesn't always help. It actually made my insomnia worse. I only got an extra hour of sleep each night but kept falling asleep during the day. During tests, at service, P.E., etc.

Magnesium deficiency is linked to insomnia. Bathing in magnesium salts helps. A lot.
Plus it takes some time (i think at least 2weeks, but can be wrong) to kick in and settle the circadian rythm
Melatonin is super damaging over time
Have your husband get a sleep study done. he may have sleep apnea. Or throw him out of the house. Either way. As for insomnia, get a lightbox for the morning. It's weird, but if you get SAD it really helps
Grab a good book and read in bed. That helps me fall asleep every time. Insomnia SUCKS-I hope you get some decent sleep! Read. Seriously-it helps. 💕
