*Grandma talks in greek*
“What did she said?”
“She said ‘too much salt, you donkey!’”
In all seriousness, she only said "too much salt". Just to be clear.
@@Laconic-Spartan i know. “You Donkey” is a common phrase/insult of Gordon.
It reminds me of the time the French Mama chastised Keith Floyd for not cooking his peppers long enough.
She is a polite giagia. She only said, too much salt.
"If he can a mistake like that, we all have a chance in life." - Gino D'Acampo 😎
True.
if my grandmother had wheels, she would be a bike
Greek here... I mean our grandmas are proud of their abilities but this is hilarious.
Greek food is fantastic!
1:25 When Gordon is trying to explain to the grandma while Gino and Fred are laughing at the back 😂🤣
I love it. Obviously someone explained to her and they edited it. 😅
😂
As a Greek, ALWAYS listen to your yaya when you cook! Except olive oil, put half of the amount she tells you in the food! 😂
It should be illegal being this beautiful 🙄✋🏻 ,you, yes you..
Wow, in Thailand, your paternal grandma is pronounced "ya".
@@diogenes. Desperate much?
Haha sooo true!!!!!
@authorified89
Wait! Let him cook!
I fully trust her opinion
"This video contains strong language"
With these 3 around, we don't expect anything otherwise😂😂
Clickbait! 'Its gonna be delicious!'
Did you see Grandma’s face at the beginning of the video 😂😂😮
Is this the guy that said "If my grandmother had wheels, she would have been a bike..."? 🧐
Yes
😂😂😂 and funnily enough, I know what he means.
Yes and the funny thing is we have the exact same phrase in Greek word for word 😂
Not gonna lie Gino and Gordon in greece are Hilarious 😂
Ahhhh...Now I understand why the British are angry with the demonstrations in Spain against mass tourism and everyone says about going to Greece... how easy it is to direct the little sheep. Thanks Gino & Gordon.
"Ja Ja", says a German
"Grandma" is what a Greek hears from it
Eggs is what Polish hear
Sounded like German at first. In greek, the emphasis needs to be put on the second "ja"
There is no J in the Greek actually 😉
😂😂
I had a really good giggle with this! Thanks!
When gordon says ''a pinch of salt'' but puts a whole handful in there
This made me laugh, I love Gordon's happy 'outtakes'
Gordon can create amazing food but when you bring it to traditional nonnas and people who grew up in the area eating it, he doesn’t know shit
Finally, Gordon met his maker
this made my day!
That was wholesome & hilarious.
❤ love this
The most Greek thing anyone has ever said “even gods make mistakes”
We love you❤
Food is subjective
👏👏👏👏
Very funny
Brilliant 😂 worst insult to give to a Chef 😂
this whole clip feels like cut scene in GTA 5 for some reason
She’s like whaaaaat I hate those capers ❤
it would be unexpected if the grandma turned into a bike after tasting it
Gordon keeps thinking he is better than the Mammas. Gino It’s fucken unbelievable what he does🎉🎉
fucking *
I don’t speak Greek but for some reason I thought “too much salt”
Oh poor YaYa was like " humm what is this?? " 😱
Hahaha....greit Gordon Remsy.....BRAVO MAMA....
Greeks and Italians don't fuck around with their food
'Why didn't you suggest I rinse the capers? Why didn't you say that?' I'm going to pull that one next time I mess up in the kitchen. Damn it! Just remembered, I live alone!
Seriously though, why do professional chefs overdo the salt so severely? Reminds me of a Josh Weisman video where he went to 24 places for fries and rated all 24 of them as not using enough salt.
It's a chef thing. My wife complains I make things too salty as well.
Salt enhances flavour and helps the different flavours and aromas to spread.
Besides that, the quantity of a serving in fancy restaurants is a joke and most people won't feel overwhelmed by any strong flavour in such small amounts.
Kosher salt most likely
In this case, as he even pointed out, the capers are brined, so they're already super salty and he didn't account for that. He didn't intend to make it that salty.
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Why is no one talking about Gino's super white grid ! 1:23
comment contribution
Lol!
She has high blood presure.
What a strange comment . Greek people live longer than most places on earth . Also , if you're going to insult someone - at least spell correctly . It's pressure not presure.
@@user-qx3eb2jx1p It wasn't an insult. He means she didn't like the saltiness because salt is know to increase BP
@@user-qx3eb2jx1p I'd say having high blood pressure is more of a condition than an insult.
@@floraly88 the comment implied an insult .
@@user-qx3eb2jx1pwhat a strange comment from you…and it’s insulting to pull someone up on their spelling, were you trying to show off? I live in Greece and lots of people over here have high blood pressure ! …
Grandmas have the best cooking imo. Yet to meet a grandmas recipe thats not good. Gordon took that well and it was funny to see. Lol
9 comments? :D
No 5 star chef's can cook like yaya and nonna's NOT EVEN GORDAN.......😅😅
Hahaha
Chefs and cooks are big on adding too much salt and sugar to their recipes. Flavors has been replaced with refined sugar and sodium.
It's normal. I'm a chef in an old age center. ANY TIME I try to give them something different or more gourmet, they complain. They only want what they are USED to. Same spice mixes, same taste, same ingredients... It's part of their comfort zone. So it gets kind of boring after a while, making mashed potatoes for every meal is a soul killer... I can only get creative with desserts because almost ALL of them have a really big sweet tooth.
It's THEIR life, what is left of it, so I try to make it as much the way they want it as I can... Even if it bores me, it's the least I can do for them...
What is funny, is that a LOT of the people where I work are old nuns and priests, and THEY are the worst complainers out of the whole lot...
The point about the spices being comfort zone is so true.
Although it's not the case here.
Salt is a very specific issue, unique to everyone.
Many people, especially older ones, develop high blood pressure and sodium is a basic factor for that.
Personally, since I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure, I've become more conscious with salt.
I don't like unsalted food, but I definitely can't enjoy overly salted food anymore.
Is there some kind of error or has no one commented on this?
no one commented
@@heisenballs6944 Wow. How has no one commented on a Gordon Ramsay video. That too* one where he is schooled by a grandma
I remember watching this before and I think the comment section was turned off that time 🤔
@@fgkanna6455 That would make a lot more sense
@@fgkanna6455 ok
in a video with Gordon Ramsay, do we really need the warning at the beginning? 😅
Well…. Does she even like salsa verde?
If yaya/nonna don't like where you got it, she'll tell you where to put it.
Incidentally I never liked capers …and that gurl is literally a GREEK GODDESS
Only 13 comments?! Imma help change that
Gordon drop salt on salt .
She's right his food is shite.
The dude in the black looks like a younger version of will Ferrell
Are you on drugs or just partially sighted ? what a bizarre comment
Needs oregano and lemon.
I think it’s been pretty well established that most of Gordon Ramsey’s food is totally mid.
No one commented lol
No comments.
Respect Greeks
You cannot just duplicate or compete with Greek home cooking by a woman who cooked for 3 generation of families.😅
Even gourds can make mistakes.
The mistake is mamas taste buds
I love how dude compared Gordon to a god because I knew his cooking isn’t what made him famous
great googly moogly, them Greek women built good 🍑😍
Except one, they’re good Christian God fearing nation with principles and morals and their women are not degenerate homosexuals much like your name suggests you are.
Lmao it’s ok Gordon. The odds are against you. You can grow up Greek and it’ll take you twenty years before your yaya will say you maje anything better than hers and that’s when you know you’ve made it 😂
Poor English wiil come to Greece to learn us how to cook...😅😅
Gino. Who said your a god?
He was talking about Gordon
He was clearly talking about Gordon.
Not interesting the grk
Pizza boy greece is the best from italy
Questi chef vogliono stravolgere tutto per stravaganze e persone stravaganti,
Alla fine fanno solo schifezze!
